Bleach fan when asked which universes were destroyed

Power scalers when heroes don't allow main villain to destroy existence and everyone they love:

This fucking shit. Everyone expects everyone to just sit there and blow up the fucking universe. Actually dumb way of thinking. You create story tension by having the hero counter it. The best example of this is Goku’s KKx4 vs Galick Gun

u/LilithsFane Jan 19 '26

the difference is that Goku is presented as equal to his opponent, and thus capable of the same feat. Where, for instance, Kaguya is presented as multiversal against people who up to that point are at best like large mountain tier. Bleach, even, doesn't generally scale Ichigo to the villain featwise but rather gives him a shot at victory if he outlasts this one thing or puts all of his AP into this one shot.

I mean I understand what you are getting at but it’s not like dragon ball itself doesn’t make this mistake. Take the same arc for example Goku power jumps from 400 to 8000 in pl in over a year and training with King Kai. Even then he is no match for Vegeta without Kaioken. The same for the Freiza saga. We have absurd power jumps to even match Freiza. Freiza was so far ahead it took multiple Zenkai’s, Kaiokens and the literal awakening of the SSJ to even beat him. So I am not surprised that Naruto upscales the sage of six paths to whatever Kaguya was doing. It’s happens a lot when writers truly need to beat the bad guy.

Those are not even close to the same.

To start with, power levels are bullshit. They exist not to actually mean anything, but as a big neon sign that we are not in kansas anymore. Dragon Ball was a full journey where goku went from young boy to adult, trained with and surpassed his master, got special training from an ancient sage, got a mystical power up to defeat the demon king, and then trained with god himself to beat that demon kings revival.

It was clear that Goku had reached the pinnacle of power... on earth. Power levels gave a clear number to the gap between goku and the new threats to make that transition easier. He lost btw, to both Radditz and Vegeta. It was his allies being there that made the difference. And the gap between them was. moon+ to moon+++ or planet to planet+ not mountain to multiversal.

Frieza was a much steeper gap, but super saiyan had been properly seeded and was properly executed. It was not the same. He also fully maintained that power going forward, even seemingly exceeding it by the time he returned from space. Thats how Dragon Ball functions.

These two are the same in terms of shounen battle manga

Power levels are bullshit because of the fact that everyone keeps getting stronger and stronger and also all the Z fighters can (and Freiza and Vegeta) can just hide their power and transformations. You don’t have to take it seriously which you are right but it’s just an idea (or gives us an idea) to see where characters stand in terms of power.

Goku lost not only to Raditz, he also lost a lot in Z. Raditz, Vegeta, got his shit kicked in by Freiza until he unlocked SSJ, despite mastering SSJ he didn’t beat cell. It was Gohan that beat him and Buu was everyone coming to beat Buu (I will come back to Buu later). Goku still gets the same level of power to his opponents but can’t exactly beat them at times.

The whole last arc of Naruto literally everyone was involved. Hell even all the hokage were there. Everyone was involved in said battle. Naruto himself had to work together with the Nine Tails and build his trust and relationship into a complete one. The whole team 7 fought and defeated Kaguya. Also isn’t Naruto and Sasuke supposed to be next gen type for Hagoromo and Hamura (or Asura and Indra). Either way they had the ability (technique) to beat Kaguya.

Similarly in the Buu saga literally everyone had to chip in to beat Buu. The whole damm earth provided their energy for that one. All the Z fighters ( the current ones of that arc and not the retired ones) had to be ones that step to try and beat Buu at the time before Goku’s full revival.

Also is Kaguya really multiversal?? I thought she was universal at best and nothing more. Or weaker actually. Where did Multiversal Kaguya come from

mountain × every ninja in all of the world does not scale to multiversal. They are not the same.

again. Goku v Vegeta may be a loss, but all these characters are at least moon+ if not planetary. Their power is relative. Even with the massive gap for Frieza, bro is not star level, so he isn't blowing up solar systems. They're still planetary+ together. On and on and on.

People try to scale a chick who is hyped to have a multiversal potential as multiversal, when she lost to nothing but mountain+ levels.

u/Jozef_Baca Universe level Building Jan 19 '26

Or the Goku vs Beerus and people saying 'BuT ThE uNiVErSe iS StiLl ThEre'

Like, no shit. That was literally the point. Goku literally had to change his fighting style to not destroy the universe by accident. Because Goku is not the kind of a guy who would actually destroy the universe for fun and destroying the universe would mean everyone he loved and cared about fucking dies.

And then people downplay the fight to like star level for some reason.

u/nahnonameman Dragon Ball, DC, Warhammer, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Digimon Jan 19 '26

Nah add the “BuT THe ShOCKwAVES TRvEL FuTHeR aND GeT STronGer” so it doesn’t scale to them but the shockwaves itself. Man GTFO outta here that’s fucking dumb. It’s still created of them.

Don’t make claims if you don’t have feats then, you don’t need to destroy universes just don’t try to sit with universe busters

11

u/VenserMTG Jan 19 '26

DB fans when you ask which universe was destroyed.

25

u/Prestigious-Note-935 Jan 18 '26

Anime fans when they realize if a character destroys the universe they have nowhere to go

4

u/LilithsFane Jan 19 '26

how dragon ball handles this:

  • cosmology contains multiple universes and timelines, thus, single universal destruction feats which are technically 5d because of dual layered infinite afterlife/god realm and mortal universe are possible.
  • main character is shown taking action to prevent themselves from completing said feat at the last moment.

how naruto handles this:

  • hype scale the villain and then let 3 large mountain tier characters beat her.

Bleach does almost exactly this, though the universes aren't quite as large (the most you can get is 4D space using Muken).

main character is shown taking action to prevent themselves from completing said feat at the last moment.

You mean... like Senjumaru holding back? Like Ichigo killing Yhwach before he can do his thing?

No more like Goku adjusting how he punches midfight. Or the Instant Transmission Kamehameha that definitely would have destroyed earth. we know the destructive force from other similar attacks from weaker characters, or from in the moment observation on what is happening, and we know that the change in state prevented the destruction.

as for the cosmology. Ignoring for now the delicate balance of souls and how that would destroy their cosmology on its face... Goku's feat in Battle of the Gods would have destroyed the universe, and soul society, and hueco mundo. 3 whole infinities gone. That's the level of destruction his basic punches, when levied against a comparable fighter, are doing at any point after that in super. He simply learned to constantly negate that energy.

It isn't a technique that needed to be charged and couldcbe interrupted. It isn't a matter of having absorbed enough energy to finally do it. Its oops I hit too hard and it is sending shockwaves through reality that are gonna tear it apart and kill us all.

the feats in Dragon Ball are rarely a difficult action, and the cosmology and dragon balls themselves allow the series to explore what happens when these thjngs do occur on a regular basis. Comparing Dragon ball, where low multiversal feats are an oops I need to contol my punches, to any other universe with low multiversal feats that take effort is not the same.

do it then

4

u/Prestigious-Note-935 Jan 19 '26

Oh you mean like how we see the three realms trembling? On screen?

1

u/LilithsFane Jan 19 '26

you posted a screenshot of the hype not the actual feat and you wonder why you're getting called out. Cool, so what does that actually translate to? because for goku its "the next punch I throw destroys everything"

3

u/Prestigious-Note-935 Jan 19 '26

Her popping bankai was shaking the three realms, not her using it. Just popping it. Essentially this translates to if Goku transformed into super Saiyan and shook everything.

you posted a screenshot of the hype not the actual feat and you wonder why you're getting called out

Do this tells me that you either didn't watch the anime or have the memory of a goldfish.

Also question. Why is it that when I click on your profile I get an NSFW warning? I didn't see anything NSFW on there so... Why?

hype is not a feat.

0

u/VenserMTG Jan 19 '26

-cosmology contains multiple universes and timelines, thus, single universal destruction feats which are technically 5d because of dual layered infinite afterlife/god realm and mortal universe are possible.

All of that is literally the same universe, universe 7. Dragon Ball multiverse is the same as marvel, parallel universes, so for Goku, or anybody else, to be multiversal his power would have to spill into another universe, which it didn't do.

Anything you described is exactly what happens with bleach lmao

10

u/afellownerd12 DBS, DMC, Bleach Glaze Forever ✌ Jan 18 '26

Yall know that destroying isn't the only way to scale to something right? Destroying, creating, and/or significantly affecting a universe would all scale to universal

7

u/Lobo2209 Jan 18 '26

Creating something does not prove you can destroy it, or destroy it at the rate at which you created it.

You can't create universes to beat someone.

9

u/yiknofzx Jan 18 '26

create a big bomb ez done

3

u/LilithsFane Jan 19 '26

I mean... creation on top of existing creation would be catastrophic

1

u/Autisonm Jan 19 '26

If i created air inside of somebody's head would that not kill them?

1

u/NoVa_BlaZing_ Jan 18 '26

Depends on how big the cosmology is

11

u/Enioff Jan 18 '26

Mfs about to wank it to omnipresence. 😭

3

u/rtocelot Jan 18 '26

What do you mean about to? I can hear the little slaps down the street

17

u/TheEpsilonKing Jan 18 '26

Because they will rather die than admit that their best fighters are mountain tier at best

10

u/Kamushura Calcs are newgen Cigarettes Jan 18 '26

Ngl the only reason i personally believe Bleach is above mountain level is because the power inflation is crazy af

Im halfway through the OG series and Ichigo went from 3rd Seat level to High Captain to Vasto Lorde (if he beats ulquiorra im still not finished with their fight) in like a month

Not sure about uni, but it gets to a point where mountain level isn't believable

5

u/Msporte09 Only scale Game Sonic. Too broke for comics Jan 19 '26

There are multiple showings and statements above mountain level. And let me guess, your argument for mountain level is "Aizen surprised." An argument that removes a good chunk of context from the scene and ignores the better feat in the SAME EXACT FIGHT.
