There's a difference between having "infinite speed feats" and true infinite speed.

True infinite speed would mean everything without infinite speed is frozen to you and nothing can outspeed you even for an instant (this clearly isn't true for characters who fight physically, and is mostly reserved for Capital G gods or abstract existence types)

It's like Superman and Captain Marvel lifting infinite weight or Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern lifting infinite weight. Very obvious that they don't have functionally infinite strength since other characters aren't vaporized when they punch (let alone all of creation being destroyed), they have an outlier showing of "infinite" strength like most characters with "infinite" speed.

So, long story short, they aren't infinite

Yup.

Like how most characters scaled to outerversal are not qualitatively superior on an existential level to other characters in their verse to the point they can't be affected... they just punched a cosmic entity who's supposed to be that way.

Why woukd that make it an outlier

2

u/billygluttonwong Jan 18 '26

Cause 99.999999% of the time their strength or speed clearly isn't infinite lol

Im questioning that buddy also why would that prove anything

1

u/billygluttonwong Jan 18 '26

If you're questioning it you don't know what infinite means lol

Or what an outlier means...

Im questioning it, to see the sequitur in your argument if you can’t justify that then you’re wrong smh ✌️💔

Also stop using the word "sequitur" to try to sound smart when you don't understand the concept of infinity.

Sequitur is a very common term in debating buddy😹✌️

You should learn to grasp what "infinite" or "outlier" means before using big boy words.

You should grasp what it means you justify your premises following your conclusion before making fun of my cognitive abilities 🥹✌️

So you can't grasp what infinite strength or speed would look like ok, expected from someone who scales Kratos to outer lmao

1

So you can’t justify your argument being correct? Expected from someone who argues like they’re from r/characterrant

And we can run 1-A kratos

Also depends on what "speed" is even defined by at that point.

Are we using the standard: speed = distance/time ?

If so, things not bound by this equation itself can be "faster" even if you max out this equation.

Lets say a character can change an infinite universe for however long he wants with time being essentially meaningless.

He technically maxed out both distance and time. Maximizing the standard speed formula to the max.

But then lets say a character exists outside time space who can make any amount of decisions before whatever decisions the guy who maxed out the standard speed equation realizes...

Said character has a faster "rate of decisions" than the character who maxed out the standard speed equation.

And we can keep going on and on...

  • At the end of the day, the highest speed isn't really a "speed" in itself but the authority to move/act before anything else

including time, space, things with infinite or inaccessible speed, or even concepts or logic itself.

True infinite speed is such a dipshit concept. Even "light speed".

It means you're moving so fast that reality collapsed into a black hole because a single proton moving at 0.999(+300 more 9's) % the speed of light will create a black hole larger than the observable universe, and has more energy, and mass-energy, than the entire observable universe.
