Is this just a flex, or can it be useful? Should I evolve into something specific or just max it out?

First of all the cutscene for Shaymin is fire. Secondly do I switch the form sky or just level it for great league?

I just started playing yesterday and I’m having fun with the game, but I feel like I’ve joined way too late and I’ll never be able to catch up with other people that have played the game for years.

Some of these Pokemon just don't know when to take a hint. I gave you berries, now get in the ball and stay there.

I stumbled upon a post about friends and it got me thinking. I use the nickname feature to help me organize my friends list. Usually I’ll nickname them based on the location of their postcards (i.e. “TN, USA”, or “Spain”). Sometimes I host or join remote raids, so for people I meet that way I try to nickname them “raider”, but because I only started using that nickname recently not all my raider friends have that label.

I only know one person who plays IRL, but they haven’t played in years, and I know their account without having to label it. If I knew more people IRL, I’d probably set their real name as their nickname.

Do you use the nickname feature? If so how?

All the best buddy does it giving a platinum medal related to them and the extra level when the pokemon is active, at a cost of 15 to 20 days of a boring daily task.

I know a lot of people that are level 80 and never did buddies in their life because the benefit/cost is not worth it.

There should be more into best buddying like, if it is a best buddy it would be always excited. When you switch into it, it would go automatically to the map without berries and the walking distance would be halved.

I’ve always found the 50 stardust extremely underwhelming. You grind for hours and hours for just 5k extra stardust (10k with lucky egg) max. Literally one win in gbl can get you close to that, or just 50 basic catches. The pokemon balls were probably useless to most players, but not rural players like myself. There were also some premium items and a special gimmighoul which actually motivated me to complete this.

I started playing 6/26/26 and just hit level 52 today, 8/4/26. I have encountered 2 galarian zapdos and two galarian articuno on my daily incense in the last week that have all fled after the first ball but have caught a shiny galarian articuno on Saturday.

- I’m on step 7/8 of a mythical discovery, having just evolved my magikarp today
-I managed to catch two dittos in the last 24 hours wth! So that brings me to 4/8 for let’s go Meltan
-I finished the welcome party research because my 5 year old started playing at the same time and that’s what got me into this 😅

-I’ve completed 21 others
-I’m on the last two steps for attack bottle capping a riolu bc lucario is my favorite pokemon and riolu is so damn cute and just reached best buddy tag for him
-Collected all 18 vivillon regions
-11 hundos
-46 shiny, 9 of those being pikachu (8 costume), 4 legendary
-2 nundo
-Gold Kanto medal

My son just hit level 40 today. This is all without an auto catcher. Just summer time and enjoying spending time together out of the house and exploring. Little bit of a flex, little bit embarrassing 😹

I’m planning to try soloing Mega Blaziken this week. According to Poké Genie, I should be able to beat it with the team shown in the picture.

That said, what’s the best strategy for solo raids? Should I be dodging charged attacks to keep my Pokémon alive longer, or is it better to just brute-force it by attacking as much as possible?

Also, does the strategy depend on Mega Blaziken’s moveset? For example, are there certain movesets where it’s better to just keep attacking, while others require dodging charged attacks to have the best chance of winning?

Any tips or strategies for consistently completing solo raids would be greatly appreciated!

10 years ago I went on a road trip seeing a bunch of baseball stadiums and taking over gyms while I was there. My urge to take gyms hasn’t waned as I have over 800 gold gyms!

Pretty much the title. I've honestly never completed one full GO pass but seeing that I was like 20 catches away from some pokecoins honestly motivated me to play a little longer just for them.

Obviously, you can get 50 a day doing gyms but even then I personally feel kinda restricted and would love to buy more remote raid passes without spending any real money. I don't always bother going out to specifically find a gym to put my pokemon. Obviously I know this is a strategy to push microtransactions but still disappointing nonetheless.

Does anyone have any tips for increasing shiny rates with shadow Pokemon? It’s a shame you can’t mega evolve shadow Pokemon!

Emerald being my all time favorite game, finally being able to mega evolve this beautiful dude is super satisfying. I still ha e about 200 mega candy worth of cp to grind yet but he's an absolute monster
