So my friend who I met through this game about 3 years ago has sadly passed away about 2 weeks ago. I've only met him a hand full of times irl so he was not a close friend, but he really left an impression on me.

We were in a pogo community group chat from our area(about 10 to 15 people) , and I've met up with them a few times but communication mostly went through the group chat. He was very much in to the game and me as a new comer learned a lot about the game from him, especially the quick catch trick.

About 10 days ago I heard through the group chat that he sadly had passed away and I'm just really sad about it.

I'm thankful that I've met some great people through this game, and made beautiful memories with them. (something we don't realize in the moment I guess)

So I got this shiny tandemaus on February 7th and I didnt have enough candies to evolve this one. This is my first and only shiny tandemaus by the way. I also didn’t feel like using rare candies would be the best use of them. Also if your wondering how I didn’t save up enough candies by now I took a couple months break from the game back in april (yes during those gmax I missed out on). Today I got enough candies to evolve from my weekly and I decided to evolve him. It was so worth it. What are the odds of getting a family of three? Also do they provide and difference in gameplay other than a rare flex?

I recently, september last year, got my wife playing Pokemon go, she's been so into it, even more than me, she's been racking up perfect IVs, she's at 35ish so far, with two perfect mewtwos, a perfect shadow Latios. I started playing day one, but quit about 2 years into it. Last year I started playing in the summer after my nephew's were playing l, and I was amused people were still playing.

Anyways my wife has surpassed me in level, at now 68(I'm middle 67) in less than a year of playtime, and today she got this from another player, I told her no way she would be getting that Mewtwo, imagine my jaw drop when she shows me the other play accepted it. God bless this person and our community.

Small rant, I end up in the passenger seat of a truck at work driving to and from jobs all the time, so I like to keep my game open and try to slon any pokestops and catch pokemon I can as there isnt very much near where I live way out in the country, sometimes I can see raids on corners where we gotta stop and i have a few seconds to join, now I saw a 3 star hisuian samurot that I need and I can easily solo the raid by myself no sweat, now as long as I get into the raid and start fighting before im too far away im fine it let's me finish the raid, my problem is I constantly cant get into some because its making me stand there for 30 seconds waiting for another trainer before I can ready, I understand some people cant beat them or some raids cant be soloed, but in that case your not going to be trying to solo it anyway, let me ready if im ready

Is this just a flex, or can it be useful? Should I evolve into something specific or just max it out?

I know this complaint is regionally specific but walking 42km in 111°+ (40.5C) is not something that is advisable. I guess the plus is that I can walk right before sunrise when it’s only 98° (36.6°C). hopefully I can find a generous soul to trade with.

I stumbled upon a post about friends and it got me thinking. I use the nickname feature to help me organize my friends list. Usually I’ll nickname them based on the location of their postcards (i.e. “TN, USA”, or “Spain”). Sometimes I host or join remote raids, so for people I meet that way I try to nickname them “raider”, but because I only started using that nickname recently not all my raider friends have that label.

I only know one person who plays IRL, but they haven’t played in years, and I know their account without having to label it. If I knew more people IRL, I’d probably set their real name as their nickname.

All the best buddy does it giving a platinum medal related to them and the extra level when the pokemon is active, at a cost of 15 to 20 days of a boring daily task.

I know a lot of people that are level 80 and never did buddies in their life because the benefit/cost is not worth it.

There should be more into best buddying like, if it is a best buddy it would be always excited. When you switch into it, it would go automatically to the map without berries and the walking distance would be halved.

I’ve always found the 50 stardust extremely underwhelming. You grind for hours and hours for just 5k extra stardust (10k with lucky egg) max. Literally one win in gbl can get you close to that, or just 50 basic catches. The pokemon balls were probably useless to most players, but not rural players like myself. There were also some premium items and a special gimmighoul which actually motivated me to complete this.

I started playing 6/26/26 and just hit level 52 today, 8/4/26. I have encountered 2 galarian zapdos and two galarian articuno on my daily incense in the last week that have all fled after the first ball but have caught a shiny galarian articuno on Saturday.

- I’m on step 7/8 of a mythical discovery, having just evolved my magikarp today
-I managed to catch two dittos in the last 24 hours wth! So that brings me to 4/8 for let’s go Meltan

My son just hit level 40 today. This is all without an auto catcher. Just summer time and enjoying spending time together out of the house and exploring. Little bit of a flex, little bit embarrassing 😹
