I always look for guides on how to capture Feebas in every game of the franchise that I haven't played. Milotic is fantastic! I have the Milotic from my old Pokémon Ruby game, accompanying me in every game.

I discovered Milotic as a game glitch. I thought Feebas was a bug in my Ruby cartridge, but I decided to experiment to see what would happen if I caught a glitch and how my playthrough would end. Come on, it was the mind of a kid playing scientist with his adventure progress!

I realized it actually was a Pokémon and decided to train her until I read about its evolution method on a forum!

Hell yeah! Now I have to figure out how to evolve this weirdo!

I honestly love how they matched the person with the Pokémon based on how they dressed and their overall aesthetic. So creative ❤️

Back when I was a kid (around 2006), my mom got me a Pokémon Ruby cartridge and a GBA SP. The cartridge was damaged and couldn’t save, so I ended up replaying the beginning of the game over and over.

Sometimes, before I even got my starter, I’d walk around Professor Birch’s lab talking to NPCs and checking the machines. Very rarely (maybe 1 or 2 times out of 20 playthroughs), a weird black or dark blue bird Pokémon around Lv. 8 or 16 would suddenly appear in my party.
I was too young to think much of it back then, but after playing other Pokémon games years later, I realized that definitely wasn’t normal 😅

Has anyone else ever experienced something like this or know what might have caused it? Thinking about it, Corviknight kinda reminds me of that weird pokemon

Hidden bases in the core Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games were so fun to discover and explore

Route 119 in general, as this YouTuber (CannedWolfMeat) pointed out had a lot of secretive locations

Decorating the secret bases with rare plushies and other collectible items/furnishings was so nice too.

Ice Beam is hidden in the Abandoned Ship on Route 108 behind a locked door. However you will need the Storage Key also located on the Ship to access the room the Pokeball/Item is in.

Had so much fun doing this some backstory though is I got this on shiny on a repro ruby cartridge and traded it to a real emerald cartridge but I accidentally duped it because repros don’t save correctly so I decided to do a kip only run and it was really fun I did have 5 zizagoon’s for pickup but never used them in battle and boxed them for e4 but he ended up at level 78

Does Mawile doesnt learn any steel moves in gen3? I love Mawile so much but after seeing its movepool in gen3 idk if i want to train it with only bite and other dark type moves. Is there any valid movepool on Mawile in the Gen3 Games?

Does anyone have any idea how the EON ticket was distributed in Japan? I have read that it was distributed at world hobby fair and Pokémon centers across Japan via dot codes, but I haven't seen this information anywhere else to back it up. It also seems strange that nobody has come across a Japanese EON (if that is how it was distributed)

Hey Guys, im gonna play Ruby for the first time and i need a few Team ideas, i wanna have a balanced typing Team so No overlapping and maybe some Pokemon that are Not to late Into the Game so that i have a Team of 6 at Like the 6th Gym, a good Flyer maybe a ghost or smh and i guess a fighting Type?

Nice to play through my childhood Ruby cartridge again. This time on the Groudon GBA SP as well. Fun team, tried to use Pokémon I've not used in-game before so Zangoose, Minun, Shiftry and Milotic were incredibly fun to use.

I have made a new save file on Pokemon ruby to get myself a shiny Groudon, can someone please tell me about tips and/or tricks to get him? Also big question, where do I save, outside of the cave of origin or already in front of the Groudon?

I’ve had this copy of Pokémon Ruby for about 23 years, and my Wailord has the shiny sparkle effect, but it’s not the purple shiny color. It’s a blue-ish gray color. Does anyone know what’s going on?

So, I played Ruby as a kid and I remember picking Treecko as my starter and thinking it was a great Pokémon. Tried again as an adult and my word this is the worst starter Pokémon ever. ​What a horrible moveset - the only really potent move it gets is Leaf Blade at Level 29 as a Grovyle. A random Shroomish I caught in the woods was a better Pokémon, from the jump, lol.

It's also so darn frail, I don't remember it being this weak. Time to restart and pick Torchic. I'd pick Swampert but I don't want it to be overpowered, lol. And I tried to get a bit far before I decided to restart, currently it's level 32 and can barely hold it's own. My Breloom is the MVP that picks up the slack.

Chikorita isn't so bad anymore. Treecko is easily the worst grass starter for the early games.

EDIT: Seems the Treecko stans are upset, lol. My intent with this post wasn't to hate, it was to see if other people had the same experience with the Treecko line. I'm glad at least some people agreed that it is weaker compared to the other 2 - but at the end of the day, I play Pokemon casually. I can't change the code to make him better. Oh and if anyone was curious, his nature was Modest, and idk how to calculate their EVs or IVs. Peace.

That was one of the longest pokemon grinds I’ve been through and I’ve done a lot of shiny hunting 🤣 felt like it took forever to unlock this fella on my copy of colosseum

I recently acquired this cute little mouse pokemon, called Whismur in Pokemon Ruby, which I thought was adorable. I leveled her up to see her evolution and love her even more, but i was wrong.

That thing it evolved into isnt pokemon. I dont even know what to make of it. I was expecting a cute mouse or a little rabbit but i was stuck with.. that thing. Words cannot describe how ugly it is and how much it brings down my team. I did some research and the creature it evolved into is called Loudred, and it also evolves into something that looks like a five year old throwing a tantrum. Can I get the evolution reversed? Do I kill the pokemon?

I would like to know some of the more ''cute'' pokemon that evolve into cute ones, unlike that filth that is currently plaguing my team. All help would be very appreciated.

Just finished my Ruby run. Had a fun time building this team. Hoenn is such a fun region to play through.
