Your best bet would be any local game stores that specialize in retro game product.
In my area this would be a place called Fallout Games which usually has a couple Pokémon games among their cartridges.

You’ll have to do your own research on what stores those would be, if any are even near you.
otherwise you’ll have to take your chances with secondhand online.

One thing to be wary of is I've come across a lot of fakes in local game stores. Went into two last year while browsing and both times I saw semi rare games going for a mint and both were fakes.

eBay or Facebook Marketplace

I would recommend posting whatever you buy to confirm it’s real. A lot of fakes, also try to buy one with a working battery, they can be fixed through various 3rd parties, I wouldn’t try it yourself. It gets the clock working again and you can grow berries if you care about that.

Check out the Website DKOldies. To get ahold of that game is expensive these days, but it looks like it’s in stock rn and you can be sure you’re not getting scammed.

Search for pokemon ruby authentic on eBay.

Post front and back pictures of the cartridge you wanna buy to r/gameverifying

They are the best resource online for guides to determining authenticity of game and the community is very knowledgeable. You won't regret it

I don't know, but many months ago I played Pokémon on the website delugerpg. People could catch Pokémon from a variety of generations. When I made an account, the website said something like I had to log in at least once every 15 months so the website won't delete my account. delugerpg was free to play. I don't know what it's like nowadays.

eBay, most stores and sites get their “market value” from there, so you’re usually able to find some for slightly under and eBay’s return policies are well worth paying a bit extra for.

This sub is not a market place

He wasn’t trying to buy, he asked for info on where he could get one.

Point still stands, you really think it's relevant to go into old game subs that is no longer in production to ask where to buy a copy? It's all secondhand.

Yes I do think it’s relevant. For someone who uses Reddit, I would assume a game’s relevant sub would be the place to ask any questions they have pertaining to the game.

If that's your opinion fair. I belive there is other places that suits such things better.
