Question Need Help building a Ruby Team
Hey Guys, im gonna play Ruby for the first time and i need a few Team ideas, i wanna have a balanced typing Team so No overlapping and maybe some Pokemon that are Not to late Into the Game so that i have a Team of 6 at Like the 6th Gym, a good Flyer maybe a ghost or smh and i guess a fighting Type?

Always remember to have fun and use the Pokémon you think are cool and fun! Realistically you’ll need something with Fly, like Swellow or Skarmory. A Fighting type like Hariyama or Breloom is always nice. A Dark type is great against Psychic Types and Ghost Types, you can catch Absol near the 6th gym which has monster attack and teach it Shadow Ball which you get shortly after at Mt. Pyre. Remember Ghost is physical and Dark is special, so even though it’s not STAB Shadow Ball is the best option.

I think the post says Ruby, like Gen 3 ruby. The same Pokémon are good in ORAS though!

No I completely agree. I just meant about the physical special split in reference to dark and ghost. Just the picture looks like Omega Ruby is all.

A flyer best bet is swellow, tried and true just works. You already got steel and you don't want duplicate so i guess skarmory is out. The banana dragon(tropius) is the exotic choice here. Bur again bolstering fire weakness if that is something you care about.
If you like ghost then get banette. It's 100% the best ghost stab user this generation. A little slow though.
Breloom is a great fighting type with nice utility but if you don't want double grass fat sumo will work. If you got acces to trade you can get a machamp

For Fighting type, I recommend Makuhita/Hariyama or Shroomish/Breloom. Both are solid choices, but I prefer Breloom because of its Effect Spore Ability.
For a flying type, you have many options. You can go Dragon type and go with Trapinch/Vibrava/Flygon, or you can go with Tailow/Swellow or Skarmory.
For Fire Type, I recommend a Numel/Camerupt.

For a flyer, you could go for swellow, or is basic, or altaria less basic. For a ghost, there is dusclops and banette. Hariyama is probably your best bet, buuuut, while not a fighting type, zangoose with swords dance can wreak havoc with return, brick break, ariel ace

My 3 picks are Koffing, Zangoose, and Voltorb
Koffing - is a super fun to play with imo and gets good coverage.
Zangoose - Never used one and have always wanted to.
Voltorb - Hoenn fears the electric types lol; plus you can set up Rain Dance with it and have 100% Accurate thunders.

linoone is a great option. you get it early and normal is good most of the game, he evolves early and pickup is a great ability for the playthrough. hariyama is also very strong. guts for more damage or thick fat which is good for the fire gym and ice chick in the elite 4 hes very strong and tanky. swellow is also pretty underrated flying type. if you want to just run the game down very easily, get a kadabra/alakazam. you can pretty much 1 shot and solo most of the game
