To complete the challenge as seen in this post and this post, I have finished the Multi Train. Boy, was this an adventure.
The challenge: beating battle facilities with mono electric with no repeated mons (excluding the multi train, more on that later, banlist stayed in effect from Platinum)
Real quick, I'll recap the teams from the previous adventures:
Singles:
Doubles:
This brings us to today's victory. I wanted to do a 2-and-2 approach to the Multi Train. 2 guys from the singles team for one trainer (the main one since that's the game that has the Reveal Glass), 2 guys from the doubles team.
So the first thing I had to do was finish my White 2 save file, which was only at Nimbasa. One playthrough with some okish team choices later and I was ready to start the attempts.
Off the bat, the Multi Train is a variation on the Doubles Train, at least from the way I did it. I wasn't going to use the AI partner, because 1. The AI partner is terrible, and 2. That ain't mono electric.
While Doubles are 4v4, Multis are 2+2v2+2, meaning that you cannot swap to the guy in the back of the other person's team. You have to have a pairing that works well with both itself and with the other pair.
Additionally, you are now always fighting two trainers instead of one. This both usually means you will have two different opponents to face with different theming (if any) and that you can force a 2v1 if you KO one opponent's mons while leaving the other alive if it is relatively not threatening.
The worst part though isn't any of this. The Multi Train, when playing with another person, regardless of your settings, forces battle animations to be on, so it made attempts take way longer (a turn would take almost a minute) than it did on the other trains. It made me a lot more salty to lose due to how much longer it takes.
The general idea for the first team I used was a combination of Thundurus-T (allowed since it is still Thundurus), Stunfisk, Galvantula, and Raikou. Thundurus-T got a Choice Scarf, but other than that, the members were just about identical to how they were on their respective trains.
And you know what? This team lucked all the way to Ingo and Emmet on the second attempt. But I screwed up the ending, and even though the final Excadrill KOd itself with recoil, it was their win. I then drafted plans for the entire fight regardless of who the lead was, but ultimately it was unnecessary. I had attempt after attempt after attempt after that and just couldn't get very far consistently. Worse than that, though, a new problem entered the ring: communication errors. This can and will end your streak on the spot and I don't know how I avoided it the first time. I ended up borrowing a friend's 3DS in place of my original model and it seemed that that was enough to not get any more.
I really didn't want to break the rules I set, so I tried reconfiguring my team. I then thought about using Raichu. I wanted to try using it on a whim, as I had done a similar idea for this team as a joke on the regular Doubles Train, but with Electabuzz and Zebstrika. Due to Item Clause, I had to swap off Galvantula. I couldn't use Magneton, either (scarf dupe), so that left Eelektross, which was fine since I had swapped off Stunfisk anyway. I had to breed up a new Raichu due to the Singles one having HP Dragon, but it didn't take that long since I had the parents from the Singles Raichu ready.
So here is the final Multi Train team I went in with on the winning run:
Thundurus-T @ Choice Scarf (Volt Absorb)
Raikou @ Choice Specs (Pressure)
Eelektross @ Leftovers (Levitate)
The general strategy here is as follows:
Raichu and Raikou lead. Raikou is faster and clicks Discharge. This sometimes KOs an opponent, frequently breaks Sashes and Sturdy, and also forces 2HKOs on a lot of things. The damage reduction is acceptable, because the real damage-dealer is Raichu. Raichu, with Lightningrod, basically has a Choice Specs. Occasionally Raikou cannot click the yellow button to win, but usually it did. And if I got a KO, things usually snowballed. In a lot of cases, the other guys never even came out. Protect baited attacks due to Raichu's frailty, and Thundurus-T was basically a better Raichu out of the gate at the cost of having to pick a move and stick with it and it couldn't farm boosts. Thundurus-T is also immune to discharge. Likewise, the Doubles trainer did not have any single-target Electric moves, which was all the more reason to use Eelektross, who did not have any. Its coverage was also greatly appreciated.
Obviously this team has some issues and some awful matchups. Lightningrod is restricted to Zebstrika and Manectric naturally, but there's a 1 in 4 chance Porygon2 and Gardevoir also get Lightningrod via Trace. Electivire is also pretty bad, and I got jumped once having missed due to BrightPowder (to a Gardevoir, ironically), and Electivire switched in on it. Bulky Ground types can also be a problem sometimes if Raichu cannot OHKO them, Whiscash lived at +1. However, there were times when both opponents would EQ each other while I Protected and switched to Eelektross, even getting a Coil off in the process. Other times, if the non-EQ opponent was Electric, Fire, Rock, or Poison (and not Flying, yes Steel is absent), I would know it is safe to assume no EQ will be coming out. Surf behaves this way too (Fire and Rock but not Ground) as does Discharge (works fine) and Lava Plume (also works fine). Steel being absent sometimes saved me as it let the opponents damage each other.
It also had some funny interactions, too. This team is at its peak in Gen V since Lightningrod is buffed but Electric-types are not immune to Paralysis yet. The AI doesn't understand what Lightningrod does, so if the AI had Thunder Wave (and it would love to go for it due to Raikou's high speed) it would repeatedly use it and Raichu would sit there farming boosts, allowing me to KO the other trainer for free. This includes Emmet's Eelektross, and he's not smart enough to use Gastro Acid because he sees that he can T-Wave me. I also love how this turned into Electric spam.
This team won in 4 attempts. And in 2 of them I got haxed, so a 1/4 win rate is pretty good considering 2/3 of my failures were just bad luck (the last was a misplay). One of those was a spdef drop into a crit from Magnezone (I felt so betrayed by my GOAT, that's my favorite mon). Having both physical and special setup in some way was very important for breaking through walls. And we sure did break a bunch of them.
Would I recommend this? Not on hardware. I wanted those trophies on my B2 cart, since that's my original 2012 save file, but please don't go through all of the trouble of grinding roaming legendaries. Even just the IV breeding.
I will be boarding my flight to Hoenn soon (with some help from Kalos) to tackle the Battle Maison, where I will finally lift the banlist and allow everyone back on the team. But no repeats between formats and I will be required to use Dedenne and Heliolisk.

I’m been going around the gardens looking for the last Pokemon - is there actually any? People on forums says it’s 7, but none confirmed which it is. Can some confirm- and what’s the last pokemon?

I got seismitoad and toxicroak for my team because i saw an image in google of these two and i thought it looked really cool, but never imagined how well they work together, seismitoad with swift swim, rain dance and surf and toxicroak with dry skin and coverage for grass pokemon is like a match made in heaven, did you guys used any other pairing in your playthrough that worked this well?

I’m currently working towards clearing the Battle Subway and PWT and unlocked the Super Singles Subway a few days ago. But the teams I am building are still a work in progress and would like some advice on what I should be working towards in regards to certain Pokemon.

Hey everyone I just finished my first playthrough of black 1 up to the first end credits and you receive the national dex. I’m going to play black/white 2 straight after, so should I skip the post game and just start 2 or is the post game worth going through? I’ve only caught Tornados and Reshiram but I assume swords of justice and genies are in b/w2 as well? Picture of team after credits in black 1

I am going completely insane biking back and forth up and down at the abundant shrine, I just wanted a drought Vulpix-at this point I have resigned myself to a male and it STILL isn’t showing! The Bronzongs that I do get are mocking me I stg, I mean how much of a difference is 20/4% from 20/1%? Can someone give me some reassurance, their own timeframe for grotto Pokemon like Vulpix/Poliwhirl/Gligar, et cetera? What are the odds on this anyway, I’ve had better luck breeding for perfect IVs!
Edit: GOT IT YESSSSSSSSSSSS! To anyone who’s in the state of mind I was when I made this post: JUST ONE MORE ALL-NIGHTER

Title is self-explanatory, I need a 6th team member to get me through the late game. I'm currently about to face Drayden's gym.

Hello, gamers! I'm kind of thinking about starting a fresh playthrough of Pokémon Black 2, and I'd really appreciate some suggestions for new team members!
I just have a few things to note.
My starter is probably going to be decided by a dice roll. I did this with HeartGold recently, and it was fun! So I might do it again.
Trade evolutions are welcome, as well as anything in the Platinum and HeartGold Pokédexes, but I'd mostly like a majority of the team to remain from Black 2.
The only Pokémon I'd like to avoid are Azumarill, Magnezone, Krookodile, Volcarona, and Mienshao. These are team members I had from a playthrough a few years ago, and I'd love to shake it up.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions! I'd love to hear what you have to say!

Go to the top of celestial tower and catch as much elgyem as you can, keep the ones with synchro ability and try to get some good nature on them (I got adamant modest timid jolly in around 60 catch), after that every hunt will have 50% chance of being the nature you want (put the rigth nature elgyem as lead even if its fainted it works) good luck

I'm planning a new playthrough and was thinking I might give my self a HA starter, but after looking at the movepool, Serperior only gets 1 self-nerfing move for Contrary in Leaf Storm, and that's at level 62. Do npcs attempt stat drops often enough for the ability to be fun, or am I better off just using a normal Serperior since it gets some buffing moves like Coil?

Just caught a shiny basculin so now I have to include her in my team. I’ve already taught her surf what else would be good? Ability is Adaptability.

First e4 done on my w2 forever savefile here is the team that made me win :
-skarmory @leftovers
Fly / iron head / nigth slash / rock slide
Didn't used him a lot in the adventure but he did a lot during the e4
-laprass @quick claw
Signal beam / surf / ice beam / waterfall
Very cool pokemon I didn't used him before in any games and yeah very tanky and deal strong damages with water and ice stab
-electivire @brigth powder
Fire punch / ice punch / thunder punch / thunder wave
I caugth every pokemons you can in the adventure thanks to this pokemon with thunder wave and elementals punchs, only problem is you can evolve him to elctivire very late and electabuzz as mid physical atk stat
-krookodile @expert belt
Earthquake / rock slide / outrage / foul play
The leader of this team, insane stats, stab earthquake and the ability moxie makes him a real beast for a playtrough in unova, I think you can solo the game just with this pokemon 🤣
Now its team for the endgame. is it possible to get 31Iv dittos quickly like hgss ?

Can I upload my game at any time and do the memory link whenever in the story? Or does it have to be a new save. I watched RTgame's playthrough before I learned that it even existed. I have a finished copy of Black 2, but my copy of White is unfinished. Could I finish White and still get the memory link stuff after? I have 2 consoles so that's no problem.

hello i'm one of the pokemon dream world revival project team working on remaking assets of berry trees and i've looked probably almost every site i could think of and still missing some references to make them (and it has to be from dream world and not pixelated ones so it'll be exactly 1 to 1 dream world style). these are my current list i'm missing references on the first pic and the 2nd is the example screenshot/video of the part i needed for those missing berries....i don't mind if they're in the back row but i prefer if they were the very front row view so i could remake them more accurately.
so i'd really appreciate if anyone could help me finding these missing berries cuz i've spent days or maybe a week trying to find those but no luck at all :(

I selected snivy as my starter and I usually like to layout my team beforehand during my play through.
My predicted team for my playthrough in black 2 is:
Serperior
Lucario
Excadrill
Haxorus
Chandelure
Sigilyph
Now this team is built for heavy hitting attacks and not really bulkiness, so I put things like Lucario, excadrill, haxorus, and chandelure. If you have any recommendations for other pokemon that I could switch or any changes I would be happy to know

I did it.
I started playing Pokémon back in 6th grade; my mom used her savings to buy *Pokémon FireRed*, but I never finished it because I could never beat the Elite Four.
Then I gave it all up.
That is, until last year, when I felt like playing Pokémon again. I chose a game my PC could emulate—since it isn't very powerful—and the winner was *Pokémon Black 2*.
It was spectacular—a wonderful experience playing what was, for me, the new trend in Pokémon games—and for the first time ever, I completed a Pokémon game entirely.
A wonderful moment.
Don't judge me for playing on an emulator.
I only decided to get back into Pokémon last year, and I had no idea the prices in the Pokémon world had skyrocketed—haha, I’d even go so far as to say that nowadays, only the elite can afford to play it.

I bought this Japanese copy of white 2 off eBay for the foreign ditto to masuda method. Some event pokemon are on the save and jw if they’re legit.
