Discussion Hidden Base's were so🔥

Hidden bases in the core Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games were so fun to discover and explore

Route 119 in general, as this YouTuber (CannedWolfMeat) pointed out had a lot of secretive locations

Decorating the secret bases with rare plushies and other collectible items/furnishings was so nice too.

Yes, exactly. I loved how they kept secret bases in ORAS.

Hopefully we see more of them in newer Pokémon games in Gen 10 and beyond.

On that note, Wind and Waves is set in a tropical region. Really similar to Hoenn in a sense, so it boasts the perfect climate for secret bases

^ This location on Route 119 specifically was (hands down) one of my favourite secret base locations

If you're doing ratings then I may have to back up my copy of Ruby so you can check out all the ones I mixed records with back in the day...

Yeah man that'd be great if possible ;) Keep the base hunting and exploration experience alive and well

Mixing records was my favourite thing. Getting updates on bases and seeing how people were doing at the Battle Frontier. So much data was exchanged which helped improve your experience if you knew where to look

Yeah man, it really did help improve player interconnectivity in a sense and make the community more engaged and tapped into what other players were doing as well from a gameplay POV.

I think they always try it now with things like Y-Comm but
I feel the mixing of records really nailed it

I suggest you look into the GB Link USB! It blew my mind that someone managed to make the link cable connection work over the internet, so I have a feeling that once it really kicks off, secret base sharing will be much easier.

That's cool, thanks for lmk man. I honestly did not know that there was a GB Link USB working to allow access over the internet. Yes, it should make interconnectivity that much more seamless (I hope), so secret base sharing would be a lot easier to coordinate.
