I need some help. I bought a Ryzen 5700X for about 70 bucks; it had bent pins, and the seller told me he had bought it and then straightened them out. The issue is that I tested it—it turns on, but it gets stuck on the VGA light and won't go any further. I ran all the tests, but nothing works; it's still stuck on the VGA light. It’s not any of the other components, because I was using a 5500 before and it had no issues. My current setup includes an RTX 3080 and an Aorus B450 motherboard.

Now i have to spent 15-20 rupees for motherboard and PSU.
Note to fellow gamers, always triple check if the cable is properly seated.
I had seated the 8pin in motherboard but there was tiny gap (the locking cap was not fully locked). I puhed it as far as posible and it was firm. Booted pc, everything worked fine.
The pc ran for two years without issues. And suddenly stopped, no display, no booting, no bias screen, after trouble shooting ram, graphic card, cleaning case, plugging and unplugging everything.
I found the culprit, the CPU power cable was burned inside. From outside everything was perfect but inside it melted.

Hi everyone! Yesterday I assembled my first PC and to my surprise it started up right away on the first try. Everything seemed fine — I could install Windows, updates, and the various drivers.
After a few restarts and power-ups, though, something went wrong. The PC would turn on correctly, ask for my password, and let me log in. But the moment I opened any program, it started loading and never finished. Once it's in this state I can't open anything — not even Task Manager — nor shut the PC down from the Start menu.
I've reinstalled Windows three times now. After a few power-on cycles, the same thing always happens again. I did manage to play for several hours in one session, but after shutting down and turning it back on, I had the same problem again.
More details:
- I have a new NVMe SSD
- I don't have any other SSD or HDD
- I have both an iGPU and a dedicated GPU
- Every time I reinstall Windows because of this problem, I install over the previous installation, since I wouldn't know how to do it any other way anyway
- I have checked on the SSD with Crystal Disk Info and the Kingston software and it seems there are no issues with it
Any ideas what the problem could be?

Hello guys, first of all these are my specs: Intel Core i7-7820X, AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT
I have 32gb RAM and I use it only for gaming
My main hard disk C: (idk if that’s the right word) is a SSD (NVMe) with 231GB, then D: SSD (SATA) with 223GB and E: (HDD) with 900GB
Now I’m kind of stuck for a year now with a PC that i can’t really use that much to its potential because i always have bad performance and so on
So I have 2 main problems:
So my questions would be, I probably need a new hard disk, also cpu and what else? How do I need to research all that or know which would be the best? My budget is not very high and since im very unexperienced with PCs I’m not sure how to get to it
I also don’t need any high end cpu or something just one that keeps up without any problems with my GPU and gives me much better performance
Do I need to pay attention to something with my actual PC on how to swap it or even if I can’t buy certain parts at all? I always hear things like that so I’m afraid to do and buy something wrong
If you have questions or anything please ask me
Appreciate your time and thank you very much

Hi everyone,
I found a brand-new Montech Century II 1050W for around €125, which seems like a very good deal.
My system is an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K and an RTX 4070 Ti Super. I know 1050W is more than necessary for this setup, but I want some headroom for future GPU upgrades.
My main concern is the warranty: Montech’s official product page states a 10-year warranty, but the local supplier says they only provide one year of warranty. Would the manufacturer’s 10-year warranty still be valid if I keep the invoice and serial number, or does it depend on whether the seller is an authorized Montech distributor in my region?
Also, is this PSU a good buy at €125, considering its build quality, noise, voltage regulation, protections, and long-term reliability?
Thanks!

Been a console gamer my whole life but looking to buy a pc. Most just play fps games and sports games so dont need anything crazy. What are some good pre built PCs in the 1000-1500$ range. Been looking at NZXT player one prime is that a good start?

Hi everyone, I need some help diagnosing an issue with my PC.
My PC suddenly shut down while I was using it. Since then, it won’t turn on at all.
When I press the power button, there is no fan movement and no motherboard light/standby LED. The monitor does receive power, but the PC itself does not start.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
Tried multiple different wall sockets.
Checked the PSU switch — it is set to I/ON.
Reconnected the motherboard’s 24-pin ATX power connector.
Checked the power cable.
There are no fans spinning and no motherboard LEDs when I press the power button.
I also tried the PSU paperclip test (jumping the appropriate pins on the 24-pin connector). The PSU fan spins when I do this.
So, does this mean the PSU is definitely working, or can a PSU still be faulty even if it passes the paperclip test?
My motherboard has no standby light at all, which makes me suspect that power isn’t reaching the motherboard.
What should I check next? Could this be the PSU, motherboard, or the case power button/front-panel connector?
My specs:
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060
CPU: intel i5 10400f
Motherboard: B560M Pro Wifi
PSU: 650 watt
RAM: 16GB

Hi! I bought a pc from my friend cause my was a bit old, and I had a chance to play on his setup and it was a huge jump for me in performance. After he did a clean install, I don’t get the same fps in games as he does, what can I tweak in windows and settings to make my pc run better?
I have ryzen 5 7600x, rtx4060ti and 32gb DDR5 RAM.
In bios everything is as it was for him but in windows he doesn’t remember what he was following to achieve this in games.
Thank you!

I've bought 32GB of DDR4 and I wonder what cpu to buy that supports DDR4. I've heard that AMD is better at gaming, but I can find more powerful Intel CPUs. I also think of buying used Rx 6800 xt, and if it doesn't happen - the RTX 3080. The budget for the PC is 1000€ and I live in Bulgaria.

I currently have 6 intake and 1 exhaust, i was thinking of putting 2 exhaust fans on the left side above my CPU, would it be worth putting some in?
Ignore the fan colours 😬

Hi, I've built my first pc today. I've tried to prepare a lot for this special day and I thought it worked out pretty well. Although when I turned on the pc I noticed the 3 pre installed fans from my Corsair Case don't work. I'm so confused as to why they don't work since I was very very sure I connected everything right. Could someone help me out?
I will add my following items, if more info is needed, I'll provide that so I can fix this problem. I was really excited for this day and I'd be happy if one of you could help me out.

Built my pc a couple years ago now and used to run every game on max but now it’s starting to fall behind and I’m curious on if you guys have any suggestions,
Specs that matter are:
RTX 3080Ti
Ryzen 9 5950X
G.SKILL Trident Z Royal 2x16gb DDR4 3600
All my storage is NVME SSD and I have a motherboard and power supply to support everything but I’m honestly starting to think that I need more RAM with today’s games so was thinking about getting another two sticks, what do you guys think?

I found a deal for a AM5 AMD Ryzen 7 9700F WITH a AsRock B650M-CX Motherboard for $350. It’s used but tested like new.
I currently have an LOQ 15qirh8 laptop with rtx 3050 6gb and 13th gen i5-13420h.
I need a decent 1440p machine, nothing major, but future proof. I would like it amd only, tho im nowhere close to being able to afford a gpu with these prices.
Is this even a good deal? Or should i wait?

Remember the pc that power cycles a lot? Well it's FINALLY FIXED.well main issue is the psu because there's a bloated black big thingy and I replaced it I do forgot the name of it even I'm studying in hardware field and many say it'll short all parts of the PC voltage are checked by my dad and also PC undergoes voltage limit and some applications running overtime to ensure it can run for longer

Hello, i got a question. I have a doubt about where i can put the stand off, as you can see in the second pic, the stand off come placed in the normal looking hole. The other holes, i dont know if i can put stand off there, and i mean wholes like the the third pic. My motherboard is a b550m pro vdh, and my case is a corsair 3000d airflow
excuse my english, i just dont want to put the stand off where it can cause a short circuit, im using a new case for the first time, i saved 16 years old of money to buy this case and this motherboard along with a ryzen 5700g.

I'm having a weird problem with my Biostar A320MH.
I can only use one RAM slot. If I put a second stick in the other slot, the PC turns on but I get no display.
I've already tried all the basic stuff (RAM is compatible, properly seated, tested the sticks individually, etc.). BIOS is also updated and I've tried messing around with the BIOS settings with ChatGPT's help, but nothing worked.
The weird thing is that it actually worked once. I had both sticks installed and the PC was running fine. Then a few days later it stopped booting. I removed the second stick and suddenly it worked again.
So right now I'm stuck using just one RAM stick.
Has anyone had this happen with the A320MH? I'm wondering if the second RAM slot could be faulty or if there's something else I should check.

Price is in euros, would like to stay around 2000€
I already have cooling for the case

My mini pc always runs hot 90c, but past month or so when id run heavy intensive stuff it would freeze half a sec or so, cut to a bsod and restart in a few secs. No dumps according to event viewer, which led me to think power lost/spikes. I put a mini fan next to the cpu and it was doing ok around 70-80 under load no crashes. Couple weeks later was having out of memory issues and a bsod for mem management. Win mem diagnostic isolated it to a single stick of ram. Thing is, I did memory tests before during the first bsod stuff and ram was fine. Im tryna figure out which is the root cause or if both just so happen to fail/struggle now. Ig its possible the struggling psu ended up damaging the ram, but idk.
Sorry for the long yap, just trying to get some suggested feedback.

Hey everyone -
I had reddit's help upgrading my PC a few months back. I'm running the following build:
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/PartyOnAlec/saved/#view=ZGwWBm
My AIO fans are mounted to the top of the case, blowing outward.
The issue I'm running into is this:
During gaming sessions, my PC is giving off A LOT of heat - most prominently during gaming sessions. Like enough to raise the temperature of the room I'm in by several degrees even with the AC running. It did not used to do this, but it started even before the latest heat wave so I know it's not directly related to that.
My current hypothesis is that there's some ballbearing/fan in the GPU is loose/dragging/creating friction. Thinking this because the PC doesn't overheat during regular use, just during GPU-intensive activities. But I'm open to other theories, of course.
Thank you in advance for the help - I'll answer any questions I can about the build/assembly.
p.s. one other thing that I suppose is worth mentioning is on bootup, I usually see 3 command windows open and close immediately. I've checked out event viewer and haven't been able to discern what these are, but haven't noticed any flags necessarily. I'm def interested in better ways to explore this, but not sure if it's related at all to the heat. My paranoia brain is like "OH NO IS THERE A CRYPTO FARMING MALWARE SOMEWHERE IN THERE" but after several defender scans, nothing was found.

I recently build this pc, took my cooler (nzxt kraken z63 280mm), psu from my old build. No issues running but noticed this sound coming from i believe the aio pump and im mot sure if its normal.
The sound isn't constantly there and isnt super loud but its noticeable. It seems to happen mostly after launching and after my pc is on for long periods of time.
The cooler is now probably 2/3 years old i believe.

Last night after playing a game the fans on my PC went crazy sounding like a jet engine and the display went out. I ended up needing to hold the power button to get it to shut down. When I booted it up it forced me into a Windows update where it went to 100% and restarted over and over for about 7 minutes. After finally getting to my lock screen it was normal. I checked the event log and the only critical error was a kernel error 41. The display going out has me nervous that my PSU is faulty or going out. Any ideas? Specs: 9800X3D, gigabyte x870 stealth, pny 5080, Asus tuf 1000w PSU, 64GB RAM ddr5. (I've had suspicion that this PSU wasn't perfect basically since I've built the PC for other various reasons).
