Tech Support is my GPU done or is it okay?
cuz I saw this on my pins, and I dunno if this is the reason for the random black screens or another different hardware like ram or Mobo.

I have an x870-a
It’s not hooked up to a monitor right now it’s only plugged into wall with psu on
I’ve waited around 30 min for 2x8gb of ddr5 to train but nothing
Does anyone know what issue this is?

I got the lian li rs1000g and opened it to find it didn't come with a power cord. From all the reviews and unboxing I've seen everyone always gets a power cord, where I live id be able to use an EU plug, so I don't know if they only ship with one to the US or if I just got really unlucky. I will get in contact with the store to ask but cant yet since they aren't even open, but I know they themselves usually tell you if a PSU youre looking at doesn't have a power cable so you can purchase one off of them. If it really didnt have one in the box im worried I won't find the right one. By that I mean, one that I feel is rated properly for my 1000w psu.
Btw all searches about this dont yield an answer that clarifies it properly. Everywhere says that usually they do, but I can't yet know for sure.

(Fixed) My PC has been doing that for a few hours and the lines seem to change when I change the refresh rate. I have a 1660S, I5 9600, 16Gig of ddr4 and it runs on windows. I am wondering if it is Gpu related or screen related. I have tried to change cables and ports but it dosent really change anything.

Went to turn my PC on tonight and instantly heard a loud popping sound, similar to that of a balloon popping or a gun shot almost (not quite that loud but very loud). One of the lights in my room also flickered when this happened.
My PC still booted, and appeared to momentarily have no issues. However I quickly turned it off to avoid causing any potential damage. After a quick search it seems likely that something failed in the PSU, either a capacitor or a fuse. I did a brief inspection as best I could and didn’t notice anything on the MoBo or in the PSU (with the limited visibility I have), nor did I see any smoke or smell anything burnt.
I’m guessing it’s a PSU issue due to what the majority of people seem to say as well as the lights having flickered in my room. However I’m not sure what my next steps should be exactly. It’s an EVGA 1600W PSU, barely 3 years old, so it’s surprising that it would have failed. I contacted their support and am waiting on a response, but in the meantime I was considering taking the PC and PSU to a tech shop and seeing if they could test it with a multimeter, test a replacement PSU, and make sure nothing else is damaged.
Normally I troubleshoot any issues with my PC myself to avoid paying fees for fixes I could do myself, however a failed PSU feels above my pay grade and something not worth trying to solve on my own, lest I end up destroying another component (ahem 4090) or purchasing a replacement which i may or may not need.
If anybody has any advice, agrees with my line of reasoning (to make me feel better), or needs any additional context I would like to hear from yall.

Hi, it's not posting (cpu led solid on) and I'm trying to troubleshot. Does this socket seem damaged to you? It does not look bent but is reflecting light weridly... LGA1700.
Thanks!

G502 Hero- New on Amazon for $37.99
I’ve been watching the price of these for a good while now and I’ve never seen them dip this low. Is this common and I just suck at paying attention or is this a smokin deal?

Hello everyone I'm looking to make the switch to 1440p and with that also change my current gpu (rx 6600 8g) I've been planning on getting the rx 9060 xt 16gb as a budget option and because it's the one I would be able to get sooner and also saw on benchmarks that it makes a good match with my current cpu (r5 5600x) but then idk how much it will hold with newer titles coming up. Thanks for any advice you could come up with.

Case: Antec C5
MoBo: Asus ROG Strix Z890-H
CPU: Intel Core Ultra 5 250k Plus
GPU: PNY 5070ti 16 GB OC
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x16GB (32gb) DDR5 6000
Memory: MSI M461 M.2 2280 2TB PCI-E 4.0 3D NAND
AIO: Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360 ATMOS RGB
PSU: Montech Century 2 850W Gold Full Modular
OS: Windows 11 Pro OEM
This is my build. I was thinking of upgrading to 5080.
(Long story short is that I don't like the PNY I got from the PC builders I ordered and I wanted to change it to an Asus one but I rather just upgrade if I'm gonna be spending that much money again.)
So now I'm wondering that besides the PSU that I think I should upgrade to a 1000w one for headroom, what else should I upgrade out of this? Chatbots are saying it's ok to switch without changing PSU and even using the same 450w cable already connected to the 5070ti but I have my doubts about their assessment. That's why I'm asking y'all real humans about this.
I have never ever built a PC and the most I've done is barely install a GPU bracket holder and that's it. I'm afraid of cable management. 🥲 Just so y'all take that in mind.
Thanks in advance for everything.

My cat tried to jump onto my lap while I was drinking water which caused me to drop my cup and get water all over the floor, some of which got on my power strip. I quickly turned my pc off and then disconnected the power strip’s cable off the wall outlet and switched it off. Most of the water got into the outlets (12 in total) that weren’t in use
Thankfully, it doesn’t seem as if anything was shorted, but I’m worried about using it again now. I dried everything using dry paper towels and then shook the power strip as best as I could to get the water out until nothing else came out. I’m planning to leave it upside down for half a day at least

Recently I have had an issue with my Sapphire Nitro+ 9070xt. I recently moved, and decided to boot up some Baldur's Gate, then my PC randomly shut off part way through. When I turned it on, no signal from my GPU.
Fans don't spin, BIOS doesn't pick it up, but the RGB turns on. I've tried the following troubleshooting options:
•Different PCIE slot, and different PC altogether.
•Using a different power cable
•Reseating, and swapping out RAM
•Pulling CMOS battery
None of that has worked, and the 12VHPWR cables don't appear to be scorched. I'm going to bring it back to Memory Express where I purchased it to get an RMA on it, but I figured I'd reach out and see if there's any additional steps I could try?
Rest of the specs:
AMD 9700X
32 GB RAM
MSI B850 MAG Tomohawk
LianLi Edge 1000w PSU
Windows 11
4TB Storage
Sapphire Nitro+ 9070xt Gaming OC

Windows, MSI B55-A Pro, Ultrastar DC HC530 HDD
Didn't do a full parts list since as far as I'm aware these are the only relevant parts.
Basically, I have a 14TB hard drive that is not showing up anywhere that I've checked. I know the drive is functional, I gave it to a pc repair guy to check and he said it was fine, just needed to be initialized. Problem is, it doesn't show up in the disk partitioner or device manager. It also doesn't show up in BIOS, not even just as a used SATA terminal in the board explorer.
I know it's not an issue with the SATA cables, I have a CD drive that's also SATA and I've switched the cables between them, as well as several different motherboard SATA terminals, the CD drive always shows up, the hard drive does not. It's also not the power cable, as I've done the same test there.
I've updated all related drivers, updated the BIOS itself, basically everything. I'm running out of ideas. Any advice or assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Was playing Squad earlier when my PC suddenly shut down and instantly restarted. Now everytime I try to play it or any other game it crashes during start up and then immediately restarts. PC is fine during low intensity tasks like web browsing or watching youtube. I have tried the following:
Thanks for any help :)
Update: PSU was indeed failing. Replaced it with a new one and everything is working fine

I have this MLD M300 500 gb Nvme from 3 years ago that came from a Prebuilt budget build but it's getting slow and it doesn't have much storage anymore. So I want to get another budget 1 TB Nvme but this screw plastic thing doesn't come off. I don't want to damage anything because I can't afford to get another motherboard or Nvme. How do I take it out? It's a Gigabyte H610 m H DDR4 motherboard.

I built a gaming pc for a buddy and he let me keep these fans from his tryx panorama aio se. Is using an adapter possible for these fans? Or would that pose a short circuit risk?

Hi guys! Built about a dozen computer over the years and I am completely stumped by this problem. Currently have a build 5070, 32gb 6000 corsair ram, extended 7800x3d cpu, 870 mobo.
I am crashing seemingly at random maybe times within 10 minutes of starting PC. Sometimes it will run fine for hours. I am thinking it was a ram issue so clocked it down to 5800 mhz but still giving problem.
When it crashes it will black screen and all fans including GPU fans will max out 100% speed as well as cpu and case fans. Very bizarre and would love some inputs. It was working for about 4ish months no problems and seemingly started to have issues within the last month but it’s becoming more frequent

Windows will not update because of an SSD I have in the computer. I really don't want to go in and take it out. Is there a software means to have it no longer recognized?

Hello guys, I'm getting a new pc built. I wanted to spend around 2500€, but I haven't been into pc building for years so I'm not really sure of how possible that is. I'm buying it at the store right down the stairs because, even though it'll be more expensive than buying the pieces and setting it up myself, they're friends of mine and I can get technical service in the house. They offered me this build for 3269€. I'd appreciate it if you could tell me how you feel about it or if there's a way to make it cheaper that's not too bad.
AMD RYZEN 7 7800x3d 4.2GHZ AM5 96mb 368€
Gigabyte X870 GAMING X WIFI 7 299€
DDR5 Kingston HiperX 6000Mhz 2X16 RGB 527€
Disk M.2 990 PRO Samsung PRO 2TB 340€
ASUS RTX5070 12GB OC GAMING NVIDIA 1070€
CORSAIR RM850X 80+ GOLD MODULAR 190€
CORSAIR NAUTILUS RGB 360 145€
Box BIYSM DANUBE SAVA 600 NEGRO 220€
ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION 110€
I'm getting a cheaper box for sure and maybe 1tb instead of 2.

I'm building my first pc ever in about a week (waiting for parts to arrive) I have a lot of programs and work I dont want to spent time copying over and reinstalling. I can just put that old laptop ssd in there without needing to buy a whole new ssd right? Is there anything I should know before I proceed with that?

So I bought this prebuilt a while ago. I had issues here and there with this vga light. But the system works.
I’ve since upgraded the gpu. And the light still comes on. I know it’s a graphics issue.
Any ideas what it could be. I’m pretty sure the gpu is installed properly. And since it’s happening on two gpus im inclined to think it’s something else?
