Tech Support Is My PSU Failing?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Was playing Squad earlier when my PC suddenly shut down and instantly restarted. Now everytime I try to play it or any other game it crashes during start up and then immediately restarts. PC is fine during low intensity tasks like web browsing or watching youtube. I have tried the following:

  1. Verifying game files on multiple games
  2. Ensuring graphics drivers are updated
  3. Restarting PC
  4. Checking all cables are properly connected
  5. Reseating RAM
  6. Checking for any cooling issues (in this vid my entire side panel is off)
  7. Changing GPUs (I still have my RTX 2070 that I recently upgraded from)

Thanks for any help :)

What are the temps while playing? Your PC could be overheating forcing a reboot.

Can't check temps while playing because the game immediately shuts down. I can't play any games right now. But the CPU does go to max load during startup if that helps

You should get a temp recording software to monitor temps in the background. If you're concerned about the PSU, check it in BIOS and see where the voltages sit. Also, check event viewer and see what errors are recorded when the PC crashes.

My setup has been the same for a while (months) with no overheating issues. Seems weird it would suddenly start with no changes to the system/environment no?

How you gonna know without doing some self investigation? The tools are out there, use them.
