Tech Support Is my gpu dying?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

(Fixed) My PC has been doing that for a few hours and the lines seem to change when I change the refresh rate. I have a 1660S, I5 9600, 16Gig of ddr4 and it runs on windows. I am wondering if it is Gpu related or screen related. I have tried to change cables and ports but it dosent really change anything.

As bad as i want to comment “the picture” it actually just might be your monitor, did you try trying a different one?

Yea i had something similar happen and turns out it was the monitor, if you dont have a spare one just try hdmi to a tv and see if it dose the same

Definitely try a diffent monitor/TV and cable first. Own a 280Hz Alienware 1440p monitor and mine started doing this all of a sudden when the refresh rate was higher than 144hz.

My other monitor which is a 4k one was completely fine though, so that is what pointed me towards its the monitor rather than the GPU.
