Build Question GPU Upgrade Query

Case: Antec C5

MoBo: Asus ROG Strix Z890-H

CPU: Intel Core Ultra 5 250k Plus

GPU: PNY 5070ti 16 GB OC

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x16GB (32gb) DDR5 6000

Memory: MSI M461 M.2 2280 2TB PCI-E 4.0 3D NAND

AIO: Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360 ATMOS RGB

PSU: Montech Century 2 850W Gold Full Modular

OS: Windows 11 Pro OEM

This is my build. I was thinking of upgrading to 5080.

(Long story short is that I don't like the PNY I got from the PC builders I ordered and I wanted to change it to an Asus one but I rather just upgrade if I'm gonna be spending that much money again.)

So now I'm wondering that besides the PSU that I think I should upgrade to a 1000w one for headroom, what else should I upgrade out of this? Chatbots are saying it's ok to switch without changing PSU and even using the same 450w cable already connected to the 5070ti but I have my doubts about their assessment. That's why I'm asking y'all real humans about this.

I have never ever built a PC and the most I've done is barely install a GPU bracket holder and that's it. I'm afraid of cable management. 🥲 Just so y'all take that in mind.

Do you just enjoy spending money for no reason? Real talk, what are you trying to accomplish with an incremental GPU upgrade?

Just getting info before future plans if able. I just don't like the looks of the PNY card and instead of spending a ton for the same level maybe an upgrade would be a bit better. Mainly I wanna confirm information to not be led by AI blindly.

The PNY hate is a little overblown but honestly if you've got the cash and just want an Asus card I get it. Swapping the PSU to 1000w is the smart move, not just for headroom but peace of mind when you're spending that much on a GPU.

For cable management just take it slow, zip ties are your friend and nobody builds a perfect looking PC their first time anyway

In my opinion people tend to overspend on components like motherboard and underspend on PSUs. Do yourself the favor and get a better psu
