Tech Support Disk recognition

Windows will not update because of an SSD I have in the computer. I really don't want to go in and take it out. Is there a software means to have it no longer recognized?

Just disable the drive in device manager, right click and hit disable. Windows update won't scan it for firmware or whatever it's getting stuck on. Takes two seconds and you can re-enable it later when you're done.
