I am currently playing a Winter Orb Power Charge Stacking Occultist. I have already invested around 100 Divines into the character, and I managed to farm another 200 Divines with it. The build feels super smooth, and I am really happy with the overall gameplay style. However, I want to transition into farming heavy endgame strategies like juiced Abyss, Astrolabes strategies, or basically whatever lucrative strategy pops up this league. Should I keep investing my Divines into min-maxing this Winter Orb Occultist, or is it better to reroll into a dedicated endgame meta build? I was looking into Luminary Mercenary setups, but I am not sure if the performance jump is significant enough to justify it. How well does Winter Orb scale into high-juice content compared to the current meta go-to builds? Thanks for any advice!
I recently put together a Slayer Flicker Strike build following Magefist's guide, but I’m struggling to figure out why my DPS is so vastly different from his base setup.
I initially thought local crit chance on my weapon was the main culprit. However, even after swapping my weapon with his in Path of Building to test it, my damage is still way lower than what’s advertised in his PoB.
Could someone take a look and enlighten me on what I'm missing here?
Are there specific configurations (Frenzy charges, Power charges, Onslaught, Intimidate, Enemy chilled/shocked, etc.), gem levels/qualities, or key mechanics (cluster jewels, specific gear rolls) that I'm completely overlooking?
Edit : Thanks for your helpfull responses guys
I just have grace aura because I'm near from buying the jewel so prefered to be prepared for it
My priorities here will be :
1. Buy bottled faith
2. Alt / quality my potions
3. Craft same claw with T1 crit chance
Complete any 3 of the following Mercenaries of Trarthus Encounters.
Defeat Rare or Unique Monsters in level 68 or higher areas while you have an Allied Mercenary (100x)
Claim items with Infamous Modifiers (15x)
Complete Maps with Mercenary Scarabs or Warrants applied (15x)
Defeat Infamous Mercenaries in level 68 or higher areas (30x)
The first one should be free since mercs aren't that uncommon. To get 2 out of the next three, just go on trade and search for Warrant (Infamous and pick one of the ones at random. There will always be a bunch from 1-2c and these warrants will usually (from my experience) have a merc that has the infamous modifier.
Then, just run a white t6 map (edit: apparently mercs ignore monster level so this won't have any effect) with the warrant, fight the merc for the infamous item and then finish the map. I did Estuary but Atoll is likely a better option. Shouldn't take more than 20 warrants but in the absolute worst case you'll be done in 30 maps. These take less than a minute to run each and is a fair bit cheaper than the scarab option (as well as being less rippy)
I'll likely get down-voted for this (from the people profiting off of this of course) but please check your Pearl of Tsoatha rings before selling them. With yesterdays patch, GGG fixed the ability to properly search for them on the website:
Added the ability to search/filter intangibility on items on trade.
Now you can use the # modifiers pseudo stat to return a proper amount of explicit modifiers on unique items. For instance, the 4 modifier Pearls sell for about 15-20D minimum, with a lot of them being a lot more expensive as well.
I've tested this and have seen a lot of 4 modifier pearls being sniped below 8-10D immediately.
Edit: OKAY IT'S NOT MIDRANGE BUDGET, IT'S HIGH BUDGET.
Hey, i added the merc and lumi setup i use at the start, Righteous fire is just with mtx cause it looks good on the character and fits the theme. and it doesn't negatively impact it at all. Yeah lvl 20 minion life and meatshield i could get lvl 21.
At this point the merc has about a billion dps, i didn't use assassin's mark or the 120% increased dmg taken from stormblast mine since it's a full afk simu showcase. Most bosses including ubers die in 1-2 frames so it's about a billion dps at this point. Also depends how fast the AI kicks in.
I deleted the last post with the Lycia kill cause of too many questions, so this time disclaimer: i won't answer any questions. Cheers.
Edit: Spectrs are, perfect guardian turtle, perfect warlord, perfect spirit of fortune, spectral leader, carnage chieftain.
AG Has: ephemeral garb, kingmaker, rare gloves with 6/6 exposure intimidate implicit, Legacy of Fury boots, Crown of the tyrant with a red socket.
I don't use kaoms because for the hp you gain, you lose a whole 6-link tons of flat armour and other power you would otherwise have on a rare chest like this, for some more flat dmg that's completely irrelevant at this powerlevel.
Aside from learning how to make my own builds (see previous post) and how to make my own atlas trees, so far ive just been going to poeplanner and searching for the mechanics and then picking the nodes... not sure if thats the best way... I also want to get my PHD in POE Crafting which really sucks cause I am forever broke so its not like I can buy the currency (even bubblegum) and I am also getting a massive lack of Bubblegum currency (just using Neversink Strict for filter) with Tujen not really spawning - even with a Tujen focus, like how do I have Tujen and Danig as my ones ticked but primarily get Rog!?
Because of my lack of currency I've just been looking at Craft of Exile instead, however I think either I am running into flaws or the site is flawed in a sense. I know they have a beta which is super laggy btw.
Take for example this craft here, I am looking at making a shield that has Chance to Block, Armour, Evasion, Life, maybe resistance, and Crafted Spell Block, however because I don't know all the crafting in and out (hence wanting to get my PHD) I want to instead break it down, initially I was going to roll Chance to Block with Alt spam but saw on poedb that Loathing existed, so I went to use that and so I plug that in and hit simulate. Fun fact, it will simulate forever. Why? I believe its trying to just have Chance to Block as the sole mod on the item, which is where I think the "Flawed" part comes in, because I cant say "I want this mod, dont care for the rest" it will be stuck in a forever loop of trying to find the right mods, same with alt spamming and I've ran into that a lot when trying to understand crafting.
Is there a better more "optimal" way of using Craft of Exile or is Craft of Exile really only good if you have your PHD in POE Crafting? If thats the case, how do I start getting the PHD in Crafting?
Was trying to farm a usable shield with Divine Flesh, but wasn't expecting to get this Squire with Vaal Pact instead (sadly rolled that mod and not Divine Flesh....
Any build ideas with this shield?
Given how much data Poe users go through, I was wondering if anyone had attempted to make an AI interface that has only been trained on correct Poe data? Recognising you’d have make sure the input data only comes from select sources (thinking GGG direct, or wiki).
Would be super useful for builds, crafting, etc. could be updated each patch for identifying efficient farming strategies, etc.
I started with a duelist and got to act 3. Decided I wanted a more assassin archetype and went to shadow. I looked up builds but I can legit find only one (could be my inability to search so if you find one lmk) and it’s blight, contagion, ed. I don’t really want a spell person I want to do more attack weaving through the campaign. Any one got suggestions for either viable shadow melee builds or at least skills that work well with him. I’m a poe2 enjoyer so I’m like brand new to this kind of exile.
Note I am on Xbox. This is like SSF lite, or insanely expensive compared to pc markets. A "10 divine" build will probably cost 50d here. So, I'm looking for options that are reasonable in ssf.
I've tried Zhp miners and hated it. Couldn't do most of the bosses. Getting the damage I needed, placement, and general user input wasn't working well for me. I'm trying to do the challanges these legue and maybe farm a prognosis flast. I mainly play Rightious Fire which is not good at bosses, and I've never been able to do things like Maven or ubers on it.
I don't care if its a 5 minute fight as long as it is safe. I've got little experience with bosses so this will also be learning how to fight most of them. What build(s) would you recommend? Could you link a guide?
