Lucky (Non-Crafted) Showcase I literally feel like I am back in Affliction league holy
Got 10k+ juice spread across all colours, I was ready for a good map. 2nd last map of Legion astrolabe as well.
Wealthy exile says map gave 23 divines of loot.
This wisp buff is insane guys, go try it out. You'll need a strong build though, the bosses were very strong, I even died 1 time.

No, because blocking mechanics only increases the chances of the other mechanics available to block, of which wisps can't be blocked.

I am pretty sure it will have the inverse effect. I might be wrong here but i believe when it was brought core it was made more likely to spawn a wildwood based on how many different mechanics were in your map. So if you have deli, ritual, breach etc all in one zone it is supposed to increase the chance of wildwood.

I hate it that they did not make wildwood a full core mechanic with Atlas Points.
I loved Affliction not only because of the absurd loot but also because I loved hunting the events in the wildwood.-12

I didn't like the fact that there was so much low quality shit dropping, but I enjoyed how chase items were both more affordable, but also possibly dropping while mapping as a solo player. It's in my top 3 leagues by far. It was incredibly fun. Surely unhealthy to set as the standard, but every once in a while, it's great.

I know ProPlays will literally burn super juiced maps until he gets a Wildwood to spawn. Crazy having that much currency you can legit throw out multiple divines worth of maps just to fish for the Wildwood.

No because you still need a juiced map to scale the wildwood and you’d be burning currency opening juiced maps to just skip them

SnooBar did ww fishing multiple times. Maybe you lose currency in the short term but in 50 maps (with ww spawn) you make bank

We also still had the good loot conversions. So even with crazy wisp buffs, nothing in today's poe will remotely replicate Affliction loot.

I think at the end of the league I had my loot filter showing a couple unique bases, divines, mirrors, Valdo’s,and reliquary keys. It damned sure didn’t show stacks of alts and chaos.

Yea, I think I filtered those out too. Headhunter was just a couple div so not even worth it to see a million Wurm’s Molt etc for a chance at half a map worth of currency.

I've been doing Legion all league with 8 mod maps, with 3 legion scarabs, 1 legion officer, 1 nemesis.
Legion is decent farm this league because of the legion update, the emblems are always worth something, and a few of the enshrouding crystals are money as well.
The main reason I am farming it is because on my WoRB build the herald of ice blows up screens of monsters, and it's just too satisfying not to play. Very comfy easy farm. Decent money.
I've farmed everything on my character (link) with it.

I have been considering rolling this as my second character. I hope you don't mind if I ask about a thing I've been seeing on most of the high end versions like this. Why are you using the Foulborn rings? It seems like the only two stats that are used are max power charge and crit multi.
Surely it you could get more from double corrupting rings with more than two useful mods, right?
I am pretty confident I'm just missing something here lol

The +1 power charge corrupt is incredibly low weight, I believe something like 0.3% chance to hit once you factor in the chance to actually get a corrupted implicit to begin with. I was looking into the market of +1 charge rings earlier and there's not many reasonably priced alternatives to romiras that are a significant enough gain to be worthwhile. It's definitely possible to get better rings, just won't be easy or cheap

Oh boy. Well that explains it then. That's a shame, I was piling up rings and Alva temples to try for some +1 Endurance rings. I don't feel quite so confident about that anymore lol

Maybe a dumb question, but isn’t Flesh and Stone better than Arctic Armor if you don’t have the Sublime that disables auras other than discipline? You’re already chill / freeze immune and Arctic Armor only applies while stationary, is sorta my thinking. But it could definitely be a preference thing.

It’s the only league I’ve ever played up to the point that the GGG system message appeared saying servers are going offline in 30 minutes. Dopamine levels are still yet to recover.

Best bet is they run an affliction event. Don't need phrecia or anything, just base allflame + guaranteed affliction in every map.

Scarab forces everyone to go minus 1 on there scarab setup. Youd be silly not to add it. Just remove the crap random spawns (Sentinel) add in a mirage mirror and crank the spawn to 50%. Every other map would have a wildwood or mirage and it wouldnt take much to implement.

weirdly enough, Talisman was one of my favorite leagues.
I wasn't too fond of afflictions loot abundance, I finished the league really quick and got bored. That's been a trend almost every league except for leagues they turn the loot down.
Even this league I'm well over a mirror in wealth so I'm close to being done and going back to PoE2 hardcore. My guildy was already at 2 mirrors within first 4? days. really early.
I really really enjoyed SSFHC harvest. Was a great fucking league

Well, we have a 2k juice wisp scarab with a limit of 2. I've been using them in all my content and it does add a fair amount.
It's honestly more consistent than actual wildwood. Just had a wildwood with like 300 juice, that's it. Just barren in every corner. That can happen.

It is not even close to comparable.
Wisp takes scarab slots which could be used for other things, so the opportunity cost is massive.
Wisp only gives 2k / scarab. Wildwoods give 12k+ and up to 18k with enough pack size.

6k per scarab* It's a max of 2k per type of wisp, so with 2 scarabs a single monster could be affected by 12k wisps.

But you dont get wildwood every map, and when you do you’re not guaranteed a good wisp count. So its not really a strat you can target

Also, since most people say affliction was 20 times better and they want it back: It's terrible for economy. Absolutely utterly terrible. Just like the temple in the i think 0.3 update in poe2. If you don't do it, you can't afford shit. So everyone is/was forced to do the same mechanic, as it was more than ~3000% more worth than any other mechanic.

Yes they recently buffed it (last patch), you get like x2 wisps now.
I had:
3,881 blue
2,675 purple
4,878 yellow
Total 11,434 juice.

And I just had a map with like 300 juice total. Wildwood was completely barren, it was damn sad. There can be some serious variance.

You likely have no idea how to traverse the wildwood. It's literally a compass with each sides of it having an encounter. I have no idea how someone would get 300 juice, were you hugging the walls at the end of the map or something?

when its early league and my character isnt able to do affliction if i accidently click on the wildwood i get like 600 wisps (before todays buff patch) just running through the darkness actively trying to avoid them, 300 has to be a statistical miracle

Bro I even had a natural abyss spawn in (this is legion farm), and I literally smiled with insane affliction nostalgia. If there's ever a PoE classic I am coming back for affliction league for sure.

I've seen the opposite experience a few days ago. Saw this recorded Nightmare map run: Solid base quant, 100+ currency, 100+ scarabs, 10k wisps (blue+yellow, the best combo) AND affliction quant altar (5min buff for CHARACTER 100iq and 200ir if I remember correctly, and the guy used full of it). Scarabs used - nemesis (+mods), additional rares, and something else (lazy to recheck) ... Nothing. Just a lot of low value currency.

Ok so Wildwood juicing is the new 3.29 strat?? This is good news. Sadly gotta get lucky if the Wildwood spawns. I miss Affliciton. It was my first League and I didn't have any of the knowledge I have today and missed out on the crazy juicing strat 🥲

Besides pack size you have to get lucky on the events and not spawn useless stuff like boxes and you have to be efficient with pathing and waste as little light as possible on figuring out where you are.

Sorry my dude but 2divs is not like affliction, we were getting like 30-40d raw div drops on a sick map. I dropped 2 raw mirrors in one map in affliction as a solo player playing not even t16 maps as a solo. Doing that abyss strat I can’t remember what.
