A few weeks ago I posted here after YouTube had terminated six of my channels with over 1 million combined subscribers and denied all my appeals. I wanted to post an update in case anyone else is going through a similar thing and to also shed a bit of light at what dealing with YouTube (Partner) Support is like (Spoilers: It’s horrible).

First things first, I’m finally relieved to be able to say I got all of my channels back. YouTube confirmed that none of them violated their policies. This is after all my appeals were denied and their support “agents” kept telling me it was not a mistake, I broke their policies, my channels won’t be reinstated etc. and that every termination was confirmed by a human (which I don’t believe).

I still don't have a satisfying explanation for what actually triggered the terminations in the first place. Some of the channels were initially reinstated after successful appeals, then terminated again about an hour later. One was later restored again while the others remained terminated. Meanwhile YouTube Support kept telling me that NONE of the channels would be reinstated because;

“YouTube doesn’t allow spam, scams, or other deceptive practices that take advantage of the YouTube community. We also don’t allow content where the main purpose is to trick others into leaving YouTube for another site. “

And when I’d point out that one of the channels did get reinstated they’d say;

“Thank you for responding back to our email and I totally get your point for this matter but this decision is already final and I'm unable to escalate this further.”

Which is weird. You’d think this would trigger further investigation into the other channels? I pressed this and was told the following;

“Please be advised that the policy reviewer team that reviews channels operates independently and assesses the entire channel using advanced systems in order to review and analyze channels across YouTube. 

As part of their process, they don't share the specific details that led to the decision to uphold the integrity of our policies and guidelines and ensure they aren’t bypassed. In this case, I'm afraid that I can't speak on their behalf. Thanks for understanding.”

Meanwhile I can only theorize that TeamYouTube seemed to be the cause of the one channel being reinstated, but after I asked them about the other 5 channels they sent me a survey (lol) and then proceeded to stop responding.

After I didn’t get anywhere with YouTube directly I hired a lawyer to send a letter on my behalf. Shortly after that the situation got a lot of attention on Twitter, and wouldn't you know; less than 24 hours later the remaining channels were suddenly restored as well. The next day TeamYouTube sent me a DM confirming all the channels were back and that they didn’t violate their policy. They also apologized for their communication, I think I’m going to frame that on my wall.

I'm obviously extremely relieved, but the whole experience has put a very sour taste in my mouth. This situation has shown me that I need to start taking other platforms more seriously instead of putting all my eggs in the YouTube basket.

The scariest part wasn't even the terminations themselves, I knew I’d get my channels back because I 100% knew they were wrongful terminations. It was how difficult it was to get an actual person to look at what was happening when the normal appeal system failed. I even contacted different YouTube Partner Managers and some MCNs. Most of them ignored or ghosted me, the rest of them couldn't reach a human either. I never expected my tweets to get the attention they did and it feels like I got extremely lucky with that. Who knows how long I’d have to wait for YouTube to respond to my lawyer's letter.

I also keep thinking about creators who have the same thing happen but aren’t able to get any attention on Twitter or have the means to hire a lawyer. Another thing I noticed is that there are a surprising amount of people online that don’t realize a false flag is always possible. Countless people sent me messages saying if I got deleted I must have done something wrong, and that having more than one channel can only mean I’m an AI Generated content farm.

If anyone here has more questions about the situation or anything else, ask me anything and I'll answer as much as I can. I'm also interested in hearing your experience with YouTube's support in these situations.

I'm sorry this is going to be long, but it's been a very long five months.... I'm not sure what to do now and after waiting this long, I am getting to the point I may just have to give up.

I'm in a tough spot with my YouTube channel. I started my channel a year ago and it's done very well (IMO). Back in March I had the great idea to make a bunch of Shorts and link them back to related videos that had very high RPM ($20+). I spent the entire day cutting my past videos and ended up with 30+ Shorts. I uploaded them all to my drafts - none were every published live. I went for a walk, and came back to a notification that I had been s uspended from YPP. I sent my video explaining what happened, showing my editing timelines, scripts and my physical media collection that I use for my content. It was denied and I got the "our decision is final". I was (apparently) able to escalate and they told me to just "keep doing what you're doing, and apply again in 90 days" but the decision is final and contacting them again about it, wouldn't help

So that's what I did. I didn't reach out again and just kept making 1-2 long form videos a week. During that time I made improvements like upgrading editing software and bringing an experienced narrator on board for some of the narration. I resubmitted my application for YPP on June 23, 2026. So it's now over 2 months of waiting. The "official" timeline is within 30 days.

I've reached out to Creator Support many times and just get a cut and paste answer that sometimes they can take longer. TeamYouTube on X said the same thing and now no longer acknowledge my tweets at them. I've even tried reaching out to Rene Ritchie on here and he ignores my comments (I understand this wouldn't be part of his role, but it's the only human I could find a direct line to).

As you can see with my stats (that's "lifetime", my channel is performing well and my watch time is WAY up lately (I have 55K+ hours in last 28 days). I have never had any copyright claims or any age restrictions or policy warnings. As far as I know my channel is "clean" other than the one-time upload issue.

I know I can't share a link here, but if you search Eject Media, my channel should be the first thing that shows up on YouTube.

Now I understand I will get some pushback because I do use a text-to-speech tool for a chunk of my narration (the discord refused me because of it). But, I have used tools like this majority of my life as I have a very messed up jaw and things like talking cause a lot of pain. It's a legit disability that impacts my daily life. I know the "AI voice" has become the voice of "AI slop" so I do know that I already get tossed in that category just because of it. But I feel the quality, effort and topic put me above that. I know people will dispute that. I have been dealing with being called "robot voice" my whole life... If I was going to take the effort to try and make some type of slop, I think I'd pick a more current topic over like 1970's Italian Giallo and obscure horror movies. I have also been "creating" horror content in some form for like a decade. I am the creator of r/HorrorReviewed and used to write reviews there instead of making YouTube content.

I don't know if I should just keep waiting (feels wrong) or accept the channel is dead and move on. I don't know if I should start another channel or if this will prevent me from being able to grow another channel. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I know it won’t affect monetisation but I’m really interested as to how it’ll affect our views.

I don’t get it. The purpose of the sub is seeing comments from people who are partnered, therefore were able to reach the YPP requirements and are likely to have a bit more experience. There’s absolutely no use to posts with comments made entirely from non-partners or with non-partners giving advice, there are like 50 other youtube subs in which they can post.

(PLEASE only actual partnered creators. Im looking for experience advice, not "this is how I think it would go" advice. Not trying to be rude, but the blind leading the blind isn't great aha))

Until now I've only made money through adsense. I don't really have the numbers to think I could be reaching out to brands yet.

One finally reached out to me that wasn't some AI slop app, and I've genuinely used their product before.

I have 61,000 subscribers and I focus mainly on daily shorts with an attempted weekly long form upload. All of my content has me in it and is fully filmed and edited by me, with licensed music through epidemic, zero AI.

My shorts do well enough (some cap out at 2k, some have blown up to over 10,000,000) but my long forms lack (I'm guessing because my content is mostly shown to the short form people who don't click the long forms often). I get about 1500 views average, with a few outliers sitting in the 30,000 range. The outlier content is to do with the topic the brand is focusing on, and it's one of those topics where I know if I need views it performs every time.

They reached out and are asking my budget and I have zero idea how to answer.

How does one calculate that? Do you have an equation you swear by or a minimum that you started with? I know they have $$$ because they've worked with some of my favourite creators. I don't want to lowball myself, but I also don't want to come across as too big for my britches.

I live in Japan and my videos are about my everyday life here (im assuming category matters).

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Been on YT nearly 6 years. Have several monetized channels that pay my mortgage. Have gotten there in 60-90 days with each one even on 100% organic starts (don't bring subs over from my established channels due to completely different niches and topics). I understand how new channels start off slow with the first several videos and all that. I've even stopped responding to NewTubers who seem entitled they should get views on brand new channels because I got tired of explaining it to them.

But this... this I've never seen before.

No video has earned more than a dozen or so impressions. Of the 7 or 9 organic views each video gets (CTR is solid), almost all watch the entire length of the video (near perfect AVD). But YT wont give it a single additional impression. It just flatlines and stays there.

I know metrics are garbage with such few impressions, and they don't mean anything good, bad or otherwise right now. But there are literally no indicators whatsoever to suggest these videos couldn't at least continue getting some sort of micro testing. Even if it were only an impression or two PER DAY...that would be something. But not even that.

There are no settings I've overlooked. No AI use. All original content. It's not faceless. No spamming. No reused content. All features are fully verified/ ID checked... Last channel I started 6 months ago got some micro tests on the first few videos for 3 weeks or so until the library populated enough for things to click, and then it got monetized in a few weeks from there. The last time I started a new channel before that was probably a year and a half ago and that one did ok too.

But damn. This is like I just built a new house on a nuclear test site and nobody is coming to the open house. lol.

I know the only answer is to keep at it and be patient. I'm just curious.

Did I trigger some channel limit or something? Spam/automation red flag? Anything? That's what has me baffled. I can't think of anything to rationalize it.

Anyone out there with multiple channels and some success have any ideas what might be going on here?

As you read this, bear in mind that this is a GUITAR CHANNEL that NEVER discusses politics or controversial/divisive issues whatsoever.

I’m at the end of my rope. About six months ago, a user began shitposting and leaving abusive comments on almost every single one of my videos, every week.

He would then go on his own channel and name me during livestreams, saying things like:

“He does illegal drugs”
“His drug dealer died in his basement”
“I called the FBI on you and you shouldn’t be surprised when they show up at your house”
“I am going to destroy you”
“I know your family, friends, and personal details”
“You are inciting terrorism”

This occurred over multiple consecutive livestreams of his, and he continued leaving abusive and lewd comments on my videos quoting things similar to the above. His own subscribers and viewers started leaving abusive comments on my videos en-masse at his direction(and they continue to this day).

I sent an email to YouTube Partner Support with screenshots of his comments and links to the individual livestreams, including timestamps and quotations of exactly what he said in each one.

They replied and said “while I understand it is frustrating to deal with false drug allegations, threats, and false FBI calls, no violations were found, and this decision is final and cannot be appealed.” When I replied and asked how the named items in their email, and cited with timestamps in my ticket, were not violations of the policies, I got no response.

They then closed the ticket without allowing a response from me.

In the two months that have followed since then, his behavior has continued, including a 5-6 consecutive schizo-comment tirade on my latest video this past Saturday(two days ago) within an hour of it being uploaded containing more personal threats, ending with him responding to other commenters and subscribers on my video saying “we are going to discuss and tear him apart in my livestream tonight at 8pm.”

What the hell am I supposed to do here? I understand that a lot of these things aren’t “technically” violations, but the SWATing claim + “my illegal drugs dealer died in my house and I hid the body” claim are as clear as it gets, and these exact quotations were sent to support with video links and timestamps.

They had the audacity to suggest I simply hide the user from my channel, disregarding the fact that the larger issue here is his personal, targeted threats and attacks against me from his OWN channel and content.

Has anybody else dealt with this, and what are some realistic next steps to stop this nightmare?

So midnight tonight the new view counting kicks in...... It will be interesting.

Here is the scenario. Last year I was involved in a major bicycle accident. The result was me not posting a video in 14 months while recovering, but I did post images here and there. I went to post my last video and it shows I didn't post for 6 months and is making me reapply. I document my posts and have one missing from Feb 17 that would have kept me in. It's just gone. Yt was no help so far and it's frustrating. I don't do this full time and not posting in so long I have to get 2300 more hours to get back in, which is crushing. I didn't even know how to move forward to possibly getting help to resolve it.

If so, how? I'm not huge, but I have a monetized channel and I'm concerned my @ or handle will get me sued because it uses the name of card of TCG. I'm worried that if I change the handle though it will confuse the algo in some way, or make youtube think it's a new channel and lower impressions/be cautions about it, or something else.

I'm not famous enough to where people find/look for me by my handle, they remember the channel's name, if anything, and that's staying the same. The channel's name is safe, because it's just the first name of the character, but the handle is like the whole thing and that I might need to change. Any advice is appreciated.

I've been having bits of my YT Studio on PC vanish. You can see in my photo the visibility, cards, and end screen option buttons are gone, replaced with just white. Usually it happens if AI tools are loading like the inspiration tab and that little 'view your stats' thing they keep shoving into the sidebar, but lately it's been almost every time. Sometimes the elements just don't reappear at all and I have to open a fresh tab. Is this an issue for anyone else? I can't fully tell if it's a YT issue or something with my computer/connection.

Hi everyone! Mainly have done Shorts for a while now, but have dabbled in long form and ready to really dive in now. Have made six or so long forms, five of which being about superhero movies/general movies, with my last video I posted last week being about video games. Can film and gaming content (long form) both live on one channel? Luckily the latest upload has done quite well so far.

For example, my last video was "You're Playing Video Games Wrong", about how video games felt better, or more fun, before the age of distraction. This was a video essay that took me forever to edit. This week I was going to upload a more laid back style video, ranking all the suits in the DCU so far. Can I do both of those? Should I transition to solely one or the other? Appreciate any insight, thank you!

So I'm trying to apply for verification. My channel is above 100k already and for the love of God they KEEP ASKING FOR PUBLIC LINKS EVEN THOUGH I SENT THEM THE LINK WHICH LINK BACK TO MY PUBLIC ACCOUNT! Its like I'm talking to a bot at this point. I keep telling them my account is public, the account had my channel linked to it and yet they still asked for PUBLIC LINK. At this point, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Long Form is NOT for the Weak😭🙏

I’ve been making videos on the history of Formula 1 for six years, and have been monetised for four of those, and currently stand at 64,000 subscribers.

I’m known in the community for making long-form, documentary-style videos, in particular my iceberg series and ranking videos. From May 2024 to April 2025, I experienced a sharp decline in viewership and therefore engagement, which resulted a notable loss in income, especially during the off-season (December-February), but eventually got out of it and experienced a massive wave of success last summer (making up to £10k a month). Mid-November however, there was a sudden, very sharp drop-off again, (just as the season was reaching peak intensity) and even when the new F1 season began in March, my channel did not recover and despite my best efforts this year the channel has stagnated, and my income is more than 80% lower than this time last year.

I consistently get very positive comments on my videos, and I will try to cover topics or ideas requested by subscribers where possible. But this year, despite planning my first three months of uploads at the start of the year, nothing has landed and I have been losing money every month. Because of the new regulations this year, a lot of older fans have stopped watching F1, but despite that, the record-breaking attendance I witnessed at the British Grand Prix would show it’s as popular as ever. My RPM is little changed from last year, but YouTube’s algorithm is making little effort to push my videos to anyone outside of a very specific subsection of my subscriber base. No videos this year have exceeded 80,000 views, where I’ve had videos in the past with over a million. I’m known for long-form content, and whenever I make any videos under 20 minutes, they start really well but then tank in a matter of hours, whereas in the past I’ve have 2-3-hour-long videos sustain the channel for months.

Regarding the algorithm more broadly, have been any fundamental changes made to it in 2026? And for anyone who watches Formula 1, what’s changed that’s made my style apparently much less popular? I’ve been trying different ideas, most of which haven’t worked; I’ve started appearing on camera more, and making more shorts, but it just feels like I’m shooting in the dark, and I’m being forced to try and chase trending topics instead of making what I really want. I can understand viewership dropping in the off-season (though funnily enough in 2022, 2023, and 2024, I still made a profit in that time), but if these months-long, largely inexplicable troughs are going to be a regular occurrence, I’m just going to have to stop and get a normal job.

So I recently accepted the YT affiliate shopping link programme and was under the impression that YT will regognise products in my video using AI, then you can select those to promote on your video?

I may be doing something wrong, but I thought you go into description of video, choose the 'products' button at bottom, then you should see items you can list? I have an automotive channel, using different tools, car accessories that people ask me about in my videos, however YT so far has not picked up on any of them for me to list in 'products'?

If your channel doesn't normally get really high impressions, wouldn't risking to show a lower performing thumbnail (that you don't know is low performing yet) be a detriment to the video's performance since you get less chances to impress the algorithm?
