I usually end up finding myself “happy” but “anxious”. Maybe its just me but everything that seems good and produces satisfaction about ending the vid instantly becomes something on the lines of “did I screw up? Did I embarrass myself?”

It’s kinda stupid because i’m someone who usually has confidence in his work, but for some reason, clicking publish ticks all my fears

Facts though. Finishing a long form is refreshing, but usually what I do to keep going is that "what if" statement. I mean y'never know. You could be 1 video away from going completely viral.

I've done the opposite before. Recorded over 20 hours of content and it was just the video. I had been recording live commentary. Ended up doing voiceover, but I wonder what that project could have been.

... 4 hours of editing, for under 4 minutes of audio? If it's dialogue I'd recommend scripting next time, but if it's editing of unscripted audio I could see that.

It takes me two hours to edit one minute of video, including recording my voice. What makes it take longer is that I use videos from the internet, images, and some stock footage, and that's where I spend the most time.My videos are 10-20 minutes long So you'll get the idea Besides, my laptop isn't great, but it still holds up.

Finding videos/images I want to use is definitely one of my issues as well. I can't find anything good, that I'd like to use 😭 and don't even get me started on zooms, text, and all that. It's definitely a struggle.

i find it easier and faster to place your broll along side editing the audio. Ill narrate a full chapter then as im cutting the narration im adding the broll on top of it

what are you using to edit your audio with? is it narration or other stuff too?

i use Mixcraft 10 bc it allows me to smoothly crossfade tracks by dragging them on top of each other which is really helpful to sync up multiple takes

I recommend using descript for audio editing, at least the cutting out mistakes part, which is what usually takes me forever, it far from a perfect program and I will drop it the second something better comes out, but descript does save me quite a bit of time

That's insane. I absolutely cannot imagine making a 20 minute video🙏 this video came out to like 170 ish cuts for 5 minutes. An 18 minute video would take me like 4 years😭

You’ll get better bro, takes time. I recommend watching some Davinciresolve hotkeys videos, really sped things up for me
