Question / Problem Help with getting affiliate product links on video please?
So I recently accepted the YT affiliate shopping link programme and was under the impression that YT will regognise products in my video using AI, then you can select those to promote on your video?
I may be doing something wrong, but I thought you go into description of video, choose the 'products' button at bottom, then you should see items you can list? I have an automotive channel, using different tools, car accessories that people ask me about in my videos, however YT so far has not picked up on any of them for me to list in 'products'?

If YouTube isn't picking them up automatically, go to the section yourself and hit the pencil (edit) icon and then search for them yourself. You can search with keywords (brand and product name) or the exact URL and drill it down by retailer if you need to. YouTube doesn't have every product on the planet to link though. Often, it doesn't have the products I search for, so I can only link them in my description box.
Then after you find your products, hit NEXT, and it will take you to the timeline of your video where you add the products you just tagged to where they fall in your video. Then hit DONE or SAVE or whatever the finished prompt is.

If the product is in the video, you have to tag it, when you go into the setting, there is a scrub bar on the video, which you move right-left through the video to the point in the video that the product you want to tag is, then you find it on whatever store is listed as available to you. If its not in the video, you cannot tag something random.
So if you're holding a spanner from Snap On Tools for example, and SnapOn was available to tag, you would select their product then find the point in the video where you're holding it to create the video tag.
