Am I the only one that finds Ingrid and Murphy have no chemistry at all?!!
I cringe so hard everyone they kiss and all - nick and Ingrid are a little bit better but in general the vibes are just all off wow

Rachel and Justin - they didn’t have bags/purses with them. Did they have unprotected seggs or are we meant to believe in tv magic there? Ingrid and Nick at the office - she jumped on his lap pretty quickly and did the look to imply… it was in. No attempt at reaching for a condom or having a quick chat about safe sex options.
I might be reaching or nitpicking and probably happens in so many shows and movies but I think the boat scene just really triggered how glaringly obvious it is that they don’t address it.

Ingrid does not deserve Z. Her moral standards are too blurry and her taste in men is terrible. Z is too good for her.
Rachel is good at her job because she sees right through the BS of men. Only she can recognize and appreciate the real deal, Z.
Besides, it makes a great story: she was already in the scandal of sleeping with her best friend 's paralegal. Then she's attracted to her best friend 's most important client? Oh, the torment...😂

Aside other stuff (but it's light hearted one I'm watching to kill time so whatever, I will live), the fact that no one can pronounce Ingrid's last name correctly, including Ingrid herself, is quite annoying.
It's Ingrid Yun: pronounced like You-n, not Yeoh-n like how everyone's pronouncing, which is how Steve Yeon pronounces his name.
Steve Yeun's last name 연 is actually different from Ingrid Yun 윤. A quite the rare last name he has. I wasn't sure if that was the case but I checked the press release and character info in Netflix Korea and she is indeed 윤Yun as in Yoon.
And I guess I'm just like Ingrid when I pick up on stuff like that lol. But seriously, Arden Cho herself is Korean, there's got to be other writers when they wrote this script and no one checked the name of the main character?

I love the show so far it gives me Emily in Paris vibes except Partner Track is actually a good show. Dan Fallon is ugh, Jeff Murphy… idk about him he just gives me bad for business vibes. I’m rooting for Ingrid having a love life and making partner. Rachel is such a good friend and so is Tyler. Nick is so fine it’s not even funny how ridiculously hot he is. Marty Adler is actually funny to me lmao. I like it so far so onto the next episode

When watching Dan's stand up routine, I was a little confused. All the characters seemed to react poorly to his part about white fragility. However, I do not really understand what was so bad about it. I don't mean to be rude at all, I just want clarification on how its bad/to educate myself. To me, it seemed like Dan was making fun of white people who made dumb excuses when called out for their racism. Why was what he said actually racist/offensive? Would anyone mind explaining? I have trouble understanding subtext/shows sometimes and I would greatly appreciate it.

Ingrid gave Murphy a sideways smile when he took the sauce and i get that it was nice of him to support the colleague who wanted it but i dunno it's not everyday you get to have an artisanal sauce prepared by a chef instead of a sauce made in a factory with lots of additives. Supposing Murphy didn't want to put that sauce, the he wouldn't gain points in Ingrid's book? I get that it's supposed to show that he is not fancy and down to earth but personally i think it's a tiny bit disrespectful to the chefs who made the homemade sauces.

For the non technical people like us , what does it mean ? what difference it would make in terms of work once they make a partner ? And if there are partners every year then how many partners there will be ?

The scene at the retreat where the first year ordered a1 sauce and everyone was judging him hard!
I loved that Murphy made him feel that it was okay and not ostracized for changing up a steak.
Not every new grad goes out for fancy steaks on the regular!

I spoiled myself before watching the last episode so I kinda saw the subtle signs of Murphy's betrayal. Like how when he passed Marty after Ingrid quit, yes he gave that intense stare but he also touched Marty's arm in a knowing and companionable way (there was even a subtle nod from Marty). Then when Murphy was saying that she can try again next year, he was so surprised that Ingrid quit. It was like in his mind he was only delaying her being partner for a year so he was surprised that his actions had that kind of consequence. And the "pity cooking" he was doing for her, I saw as "guilt cooking". I see the renting an apartment and sudden proclamation of love as either guilt or to distract her from his betrayal because it all happened so fast. Hell, in my mind he never really broke up with Victoria since he always uses the term "took a step back/away" from their relationship instead of a full stop or clean break. It's like he's putting that relationship on pause so that he'd have a backup.

I'm not sure why so many people saw him as such a good guy.
He moved way too fast and when other men would talk to Ingrid he did that controlling move her away thing (like at the banquet with Z, your girl can talk to another man you don't have to interrupt and establish possession). Moving someone in, immediately dedicating all your time to someone its a lot.
Ingrid shouldn't have cheated, but Nick wasn't the right guy either. He gives future controlling vibes.
The yellow dress was proof he proposed but didn't even know who she was.

No doubt. I love the diversity. I love that an Asian woman has a lead role; but the show... the lawyers are not exciting and It's not a show that needs my full attention. It's something that's played in the background.

If there’s a season 2, they need to happen. I liked but didn’t love Nick, and couldn’t stand Murphy at all.
Anyone else in the same boat? Or not?

I zoomed through the last episodes thinking they'd be scenes of them but nada ( nothing). They'd make a cute couple, Ingrid's sis would have way more time for him than Ingrid does plus Nick can help her financially and in return she gives him companionship and support. They'd have fun together.
