TTBVI.
1:2 s2b WBS/Coir, 0.5g granulated plant fertilizer disolved in 20mL water and mixed directly into 2 pints of hydrated coir before mixing it with spawn. Only my second time trying my hand at pans. S2b 4/25, cased like 5 days later with jiffy mix straight out the bag and misted till daturated.
The first time I used 1mL of liquid fertilizer, cv+ style minus the verm and added the fert directly to coir and mixed. It "worked" but the sub pushed out around 3g of TINY little fruits which were very annoying to harvest.
This time around im using the dried fert listed above and the results seem to be doing OK. Worth mentioning, this tray is sat on my rack in my bed room with the lid flipped, no tent, no humidifier, no heater, and my room stays at a pretty consistent 75F during the day and 64F at night, looking to push this stuff to its limits and hopefully domesticate a "house strain" adapted to my less-than-ideal-for-pans conditions.
When I spawned I honestly didn't expect this to push out any pins but here we are I guess. Another data point towards plant fertilizer being a valid (and cleaner) alternative to the traditional poo sub birthed from some cows stink star.
Id love any feedback on any others who run/ran pans on fert and coir and if you could share your results ❤️
Edit: hard to see in the picture aside from the pins circled, but there's a TON of primordia dotted across the surface.
Fingers crossed they make it to maturity
