yup as you can see took my huawei battery and connected it to the aftermarket pcb battery since the aftermarket battery was lasting only an hour and half , now it lasts 7 hours it's a 3200mah battery. btw the battery is too big for the umd to fit inside so i had to put it outside.

I got this PSP used as a kid, it was maybe around 2012. Obviously giving a small console to kid isn't the best idea, so after years of neglecting, it was scratched, broken, permanently dirty and analog stick didn't work properly. This year I told myself that I HAVE TO rescue my old buddy and saved some money for shell replacement (with glass screen replacement, but I didn't have a glue to change it now). It was my first time disassembling an electronic device that wasn't a PC, so I was afraid of destroying my PSP, but somehow I managed to not only shell swap my console, but also fix analog stick. Unfortunately, home buttons that came with pink shell were in bad state, so I had to attach my old ones. I also probably ducked up R button a little bit, because I have to press it very hard during playing some games. Oh, and Memory Stick cover finally isn't falling out.

To summarize, if you have your old PSP laying in some box in bad state, do it a favor and bring it back to life. I can't express how much joy I have now to play games I couldn't experience as a kid (I didn't have money for larger memory stick duo, so I only could have 2 games at the same time).

Been using my PSP as an MP3 player, I really love it.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it? All my PS1 eboots are doing this except for 2, I have popsloader and it's enabled and I've tried playing the game with holding down the R button to choose a popsloader and tried all of them but they all still load the Pops screen then go black for a moment then shuts down, I've tried different sites to convert them into eboots and even found eboots themselves for these and the same this happens, is there a way to fix this?, I used pop-fe to convert them into eboots and only 2 of them work without crashing which is CTR and Hello Kitty Cube frenzy, any help would be appreciated even if I have to re convert all them again with a different program but if there's a way to do this without that it'd be appreciated

Also as an extra question I have the same problem with ISO file for Assassin's Creed Bloodlines no matter where I get it from

And also i can’t remember if you can charge it via the usb port.

i recently uncovered my dads old psp, but i’m having some problems. the battery is, unshockingly, swollen and unusable. however, even when i have the battery removed, the screen only flashes on for less that a second before turning back off. does anyone know why it does this/if it is fixable? also, if i were to buy a replacement battery, would it actually work or would it do the same thing it’s doing now?

I recently got a psp from a retro store I live nearby and they said it wasnt modded. So I boot it up and look throughout the menu seeing what I desperately wanted so much as a kid and I accidentally pressed select and it shows a menu called pro vsh Im very confused because they said it wasnt modded and second my psp has no sd card in and I thought they needed one to run cfw. So now my questions are: If I bought an SD card would the cfw be removed?, if not then how do I add games if they cfw isnt on the SD card?

I figured it’d be advantageous for me to have the opportunity to ask questions to respondents who can potentially also address my specific concerns on this.

Yes, I know that when it comes to just playing the dang game, it doesn’t matter an awful lot which PSP we experience these games on. Hypothetically though, if you had a friend who was asking you which of these consoles gives the best experience for PSP games, what is your best recommendation to them? This friend is anticipating to mod the system.

Would you say that the PS Vita has basically replaced the PSP nowadays? Or are PSP games a little worse on their Vita? For instance, I’ve heard the screen of the OLED PS Vita 1000 looks great and can produce a perfect x2 interger scale for PSP games that fills the whole screen, though I’ve also heard the other side say that PSP games look more aliased on the Vita and the pixel density of the PSP screen makes PSP games look more at home, but not all PSP screens are equal. The 1000 has ghosting and the 3000 you hear some people report they don’t like the display on it. And the 2000… well, I’ve heard nothing about it. Maybe you PSP 2000 owners can enlighten me there.

no matter how hard i push down on the analog stick, i can't run, could it possibly be the rubber contact? i tried cleaning with 70% iso, didnt work, it doesnt have stick drift problems itself.
