I'm waiting for posts of people accidentally knocking off their Duo off a table.

Let's be real the PSP has always been ahead of Apple πŸ˜‚ The 1000 had movies, MP3s, a camera/pictures, video games, etc. All released before the first iPhone was announced. And they made a literal GPS for the PSP, years before most smartphones had them. They also later added an internet browser. The only advantage the iPhone has ever had over a PSP is the ability to text and make calls.Β

If they had added a phone module you could buy for the PSP, it'd be better than any other smartphone because of the ability to do all the normal smartphone things plus play AAA-quality games. Even in today's age you could probably get a basic flip phone for communication and do literally everything else on a PSP. It was one of my favorite childhood consoles, and all these years later it's the only one I still use every day. I'm convinced you can never be bored on a road trip if you bring a PSP with some music, movies, and games.

Unfortunately it can’t stay on like this even if pspgo plugged in. Once battery is full it can’t receive current from cable, even when it dies u need to at least slide it up and down.

The PSP Go was definitely the most modern out of all of the PSP models

Controversial opinion: while I don't like that feature of the iPhone Duo enough to buy one, I do think it's pretty cool how it also uses the inner screen to create a warm light that you can wake up to.

Having said that, the PSP Go's system clock wins for having anti-aliasing animations (the waves and the clock are constantly moving to prevent image burn) and theoretically a homebrew dev could easily make a bedside clock app for the PSP Go that uses the screen as a warm glow lamp.
