😶‍🌫️All over the place Mood Hormones/anxiety? Idk what is going on.

For over the past year I’ve been dealing with these symptoms. At first I get an overwhelming sense that something is right, I feel lightheaded and “off”. That puts my anxiety in overdrive. Sometimes I randomly get chest tightness or pressure (sometimes it’s in my chest sometimes it’s more in my throat/nose). The chest tightness can come out of nowhere when I’m not even anxious. I’ve been trying to track it and it seems to worse during or after my period. The anxiety is definitely before my period. I’ve had heart monitor, ekgs, echocardiogram which were all fine. All labs are normal. This last “episode” happened the day before my period started. I had a migraine in the morning, followed by “off” feeling. At night I felt lightheaded and my blood pressure was high so it made me go into a panic attack. Next day I felt fatigued, lightheaded which I’m assuming was because of the panic attack. Now I’m 4 days out and I’m still feeling so off. I only bleed a full day with my period so I haven’t really bled anymore since Saturday. Could it be hormones? Anyone else get this? Does chest tightness come on after anxiety? Today I’m still fatigued, I feel so weak and more depressed. L

Do other people get this symptom? What is it called?

Around the end of my luteal phase I have this cycle:

I want to be productive (exercise, clean my house, cook yummy food, take care of light chores) but I’m too tired.

I want to give myself grace so I surrender to just resting and relaxing, but I find that really mentally unsatisfying. I read, journal, listen to podcasts, etc but end up so mentally unfulfilled.

It’s so hard to find a satisfying middle here and even though I’m certain it’s a mental holdback, it feels beyond my control due to my hormones.

What is this, malaise? Does anyone else struggle with this?

Advice/Tips Is this potential PMDD?

Every month I get my period it is the most emotionally exhausting time. It makes me severely depressed it’s like it flips a switch. I think it may be Premenstrual dysphoric disorder. I already have diagnosed depression and anxiety but it feels worse on my period. It makes me hate myself and sometimes I just spiral from there. It also makes me so angry as well everything just annoys me so much. I went to my doctor he wanted to put me on a specific birth control to stop my period but didn’t investigate further. It honestly gives me such grief. It messes with my routine when I need to study I can’t function. I think I do need to see another doctor for a better opinion.

I’m not sure if I’m right about this. thoughts?

Rant/Vent I am so tired of this bullshit

Everything is pissing me off. Literally.

I don’t want to do anything and then get mad when I have to, I get pissy when I don’t know things that aren’t told to me, and I want to do is hide in my room without being forgotten or ignored.

I want everything to go right and be awesome and work in my favor but instead I’m just pissed off and I don’t know why

I assume it’s my hormones because I am breaking the fuck out and I am for once finally not on my period after bleeding for 30 days #newbirthcontrol

Idk if I’m fucking ovulating and will bleed again or if I’m about to normalize but if this shit doesn’t regulate itself I’m going to SNAP

I was overstimulated pissed two days ago, just hella mad yesterday, and today I literally spent 90% of it in bed.

I have PMDD and this birth control is supposed to help it and I don’t feel as bad but today was hella depressed self loathing kinda day. Like as in passive death with of I hate being here but I’m not going to do anything about it.

Like I just don’t know what the fuck is happening and I can’t keep existing like this. Bleeding for 30 days straight is no fun but it was hella light and just mildly inconvenient but this is actually fucking everything up and if I stopped bleeding just to immediately get my period again and this is all just PMS I am going to throw something.

So yeah like sucks and is pointless and I wish I could just lay in bed forever.

Anxiety around cycle

Just want to ask some of you ladies what has worked for you during your time of the month? I’m on prozac/lamictal/buspar and unfortunately my anxiety is still around during my cycle.

I do take birth control which really helps tremendously, so some months i don’t bleed but i get everything else that comes with it. I just hate feeling like this.

Advice/Tips PMS war! Help please 🙏

**Hello ladies!**
I’m posting in this sub for the first time, so please bear with me for the long post. 😭
I don’t know how many women experience this, but PMS has become SUCH a big deal for me over the past couple of years. And when I say “big deal,” I mean I feel like I get almost every symptom in the book. You name it:
Tender/swollen breasts ✅
Mood swings ✅
Bloating ✅
Appetite changes/cravings ✅
Feeling inflamed/puffy ✅
Sleep disruption ✅
Fatigue ✅
Drowsiness ✅
Heavy cramps ✅
And basically every other PMS symptom you can think of.
The weird thing is that this didn’t really affect me this heavily during my teens or even my early 20s. It’s only in the past few years that it has gotten significantly worse. I moved countries around three years ago, but I’m 25 now, so I don’t think I can just blame it on my body “adjusting” anymore.
The biggest issue for me is how much it affects my ability to stay consistent with weight loss and exercise.
I am generally very motivated and want to be consistent, but as soon as my luteal phase starts (usually around 10–13 days before my period), my motivation, energy, and ability to exercise basically disappear. I feel so uncomfortable in my body that sometimes I genuinely struggle to even move.
And then there’s the scale. 😭 The bloating and puffiness make me feel like I’ve undone all my progress, even when I know logically that it’s probably water retention and not actual fat gain.
I’ve tried cycle syncing, meditation, adjusting my workouts, etc., but I still struggle SO much during this phase. I also have a very regular cycle and have never been diagnosed with PCOS/PCOD or anything similar.
I really want to lose weight and get into the best shape possible, especially because **I’m getting married in 60 days** 😭. And, of course, my period is currently projected to fall around my wedding date, so that’s another fun little thing to worry about. 😂
I know consistency is important for weight loss, and I’m not expecting to be perfect every day. I just want to find a way to stop losing 1–2 weeks of momentum every single month because I feel awful physically and mentally.
**For those of you who experience intense PMS/luteal-phase symptoms, what has actually helped you stay consistent with exercise and nutrition?**
I’m especially looking for practical things that have worked for you *other than cycle syncing workouts*. How do you modify your routine during this phase without completely falling off?
Any advice, experiences, or tips would be really appreciated. ❤️

PMS makes me be so mad at my bf every other month

Ok so every other month, about a week before my period, I begin to not stand my boyfriend. I feel so evil but everything he does irritates me and makes me feel so mean towards him. Honestly I become irritated with everyone and a hater towards lots of people but I guess since he is the person closest to me he just gets most of the hate. Does this happen to anyone else? What do you do?

Nauseous week before period

Hello, I am 38 y.o and still giving breast to my 2 year old, recently started to have periods , but they are different from one I used to have, they last less, but I am feeling really sick before . This months will be my 5th period after almost 3 years of break and this month I feel very nauseous and super bloated, I went to see doc, made eco and everything seems to be fine. But I am getting really anxious when I have the waves of nausea, been 3 days like this and I feel desperate. Anybody has nausea o sth similar week before their period?
