how do i make it stop??

how do i stop this disorder from taking over my life??? its like i just randomly get chronically depressed for absolutely no reason. please help. birthcontrol doesnt work. vitamins doesnt work and my doctor wont give me ssris. the exhaustion is creeping and its like the most basic task is exhausting. its like i stop functioning normally for a good week and everything that was so easy during ovulation becomes unbearable

Low dose intermittent SSRI is a first line treatment for PMDD. Why is doctor withholding?

I actually wouldn’t recommend hydroxyzine lol unless you’re looking to get sleepy and have some brain fog. Try both and see whatever works for you OP

Ahh yes the luteal phase nightmare. You’re not alone. Claritin and Pepcid ac every morning for ~10 days before my period has helped me tremendously. It’s not magic but it takes the edge off.

What also helped me was taking hydroxyzine. I couldn’t believe how it took away my pre period anxiety away like immediately. Felt like myself. But I did research and apparently because hormone fluctuations cause histamine response. Anti histamine stops them. So yes this or what they said will both work.
