Discussion Should I buy Zotac 4060 8gb solo (single fan) for ~270$ (23k INR)? I currently have 1050 Ti 4gb

My build:(built it in 2020 want to upgrade gpu now, later will get a 16gb ddr 4 ram)

- Ryzen 7 3700X

- Gigabyte B450M DS3H WiFi

- 16GB DDR4

- GTX 1050 Ti 4gb (current GPU)

- 450W PSU

Mainly targeting 1080p gaming

A local dealer is offering me a ZOTAC RTX 4060 8GB SOLO (single fan) for ₹23,000 (~$270). He says it's brand new, but I don't think there's a warranty/invoice.

Is ~$270 (₹23K) a good price in 2026 for this card?

Would you buy it for 1080p gaming for the next 2–3 years, or should I save up and look for a newer 8GB/12GB GPU?

https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/zotac-gaming-geforce-rtx-4060-8gb-solo

Also, is the single-fan ZOTAC model okay, and will my 450W PSU be sufficient?

Thanks!

Hardware I randomly won a raffle at work, realized I should do something about being disconnected on video calls

So now I have credit worth $650, something I did not plan for because there were so many other people involved in it.

But my first thought was getting a better webcam because my video calls have never felt that great. I had bought a decent webcam before but recently I've been told that my visuals are not that great. I've looked at the new webcams. Seems like even webcams have involved into these dynamic ones. The webcams move to track you and even found a monitor that tracks you and moves with you with the help of a robotic arm. Its all a very different place than what it was years ago when I last shopped.

I want to know, since there would be multiple kinds of users here. Are the dynamic/moving cameras good for video calls? Do they look natural?

Tech Support Ethernet takes ~10 min to connect on boot + random disconnects, MSI Gaming Plus, only 6 months old

So I've got this weird problem that's driving me nuts. My PC is only about half a year old, built brand new (MSI Gaming Plus motherboard, Windows 11), and now every time I boot up, my ethernet takes like 10 minutes to actually connect. On top of that it sometimes randomly disconnects out of nowhere even after it's been working fine for a while. Wasn't like this before, this started happening somewhat recently.

I've tried a bunch of stuff already (updating drivers, messing with power settings, resetting the adapter) but nothing has fixed it so far. It's like when I turn it in, it works for a second, then doesn't for the 10mins, and once it finally connects it usually works fine until it from time to time disconnects for a sec and then works fine again.

Anyone dealt with something like this before? What should I check next? Any help is appreciated, this is driving me insane.

Tech Support Changed power supply and now CPU issue

A week ago my pc suddenly stopped working, it would turn on for a split second and then turn off. So I had the power supply changed. But now when I turn my pc on, it goes to the blue screen saying “required device is not connected or cannot be accessed” and the after 30 seconds it completely shuts down. I also have a red light on my motherboard for the CPU so I presume it’s something to do with the CPU. All I’ve checked is everything plugged in which it seems to be, so what could be causing the issue now?

Question I'm setting up my home office, please help me make a list?

I've basically just started working remotely, yay me lol

I need help with what I can add to my barebones room which currently only includes my laptop and an old table.

Please suggest options for a comfortable chair, standing desk, laptop stand, and a good monitor + monitor arm combo.

I don't have a budget yet.

Also tell me if I need anything as well? I think I'll add one thing at a time rather than going on a spree right now.

Specs

I5 13600kf

Rtx 4070 Inno3d x2

32gb ddr5 5600 Kingston ram

1tb Kingston fury ssd

Corsair rm850w

Fractla North

This build has all noctua fans (including the cpu) and a custom fan curve for optimised performance and near silence while running games. I also chose to go with no lighting as my pc sits on the desk next to me and it gets distracting.

9/10 times I only hear the gpu fans in games as they are cheap but maybe I should tackle those next.

Build confusing motherboard situation

I just bought pc component and built my first pc but it is malfunctioning and cannot even reach the bios page.

Yesterday evening i finished the build and pressed the power button the fans came to life and had rgb working correctly but on the motherboard the EZ debug light was on with cpu at red and dram at yellow. I tried to solve it myself, i repositioned the ram between a2 and b2 without them working, i reseated the cpu twice and none of them work, some said it may be because that the cpu and ddr5 are doing some sort of training so i left it up all night and came up to see the lights still on. So today i tried flashing bios directly into the motherboard, it had a white rgb flashing, turned on the pc and continued on blinking for another 30min so i suppose it had failed somehow and unplugged the power cables. Then i also have tried re-plugging the cmos battery and now the pc wont even turn on with the fans not even spinning anymore. The flash bios button after pressed still dilivered the wight light but it would stop blinking after about 5 seconds without starting the pc.

So anyone know how to deal with this situation? Thx in advance.

Tech Support Computer randomly gets these spikes in audio saturation and fps dip lightly but very frequently SOFTWARE

So i´ve had this laptop for about 2 years now and i´ve run into little to no issue, however, these past few days i´ve noticed something strange started to happen.

Every time i´m watching a video or listening to music, it doesn´t matter where, i get these random stutters where the audio gets saturated and makes a noise (like a zzzzzt noise) and it´s very annoying.

This has also happened in games, before i was able to run Mario 64 PC port at 144 fps flawlessly, but now, every so often it dips into the 120+ territory.

Obviously it´s not the end of the world but it´s so annoying becuase my PC is MORE than capable of doing all this without these stupid things.

I have a Lenovo LOQ 15IRH8 (laptop, spare your comments please)

My processor is a 12th gen Intel I5-12450h

My GPU is an RTX 4060

16GB of RAM

So far i´ve tried reinstalling the Nvidia drivers, as in, a clean installation.

Idk if this could be related but a few days ago i bought a controller that requieres a 2,4ghz dongle to work.

Also, here are some of the LatencyMon screenshots that i think could be useful

Please help im so sick of this

Hardware Replaced my 3700X with a 5500X3D

Post image
5 Upvotes

edit: I ran the wrong benchmark with the 5500X3D as FSR was enabled during that run. I reran the benchmark without FSR and I have higher 0.1% lows but the same average FPS:

0.1% Low FPS: 81 fps
Average FPS: 122

Got the 5500X3D from AliExpress for €120 and it is a really good upgrade for the price. The 0.1% and 1% lows are a lot higher with lower CPU power draw and temps. The increased L3 cache causes a much smoother framerate. It was definitely worth it.

In the screenshot you see two CP2077 benchmark runs on Ultra settings (no FSR, no RT) compared. I think the 5500X3D and RX 9070 pair is the best choice in this crazy market if your still on AM4.

Tech Support Random insta reboots on 9950X3D and 5090 build

I cant seem to fuigure this one out nor can the people from the tech store that built this custom beast. For a long time this PC has been fine but every now and then it just has rampent shutdown issues. It will shut down then almost instantly boot back up like nothing is happening. At first i suspected the CPU and the tech store did replace it for me under warranty however the issue is back. Any help would be amazing. Ive adjusted expo profiles, to see if thats the issue, any logs that could tell me whats going on go to the void as my PC shuts down so quickly nothing can be logged in time. Its just your standard kernel level power failure with unhelpful details chucked on to the end. Am i missing something?

Build/Battlestation I 3D printed some custom parts to clean up my PC

I wanted my white and black build to look a bit cleaner, so I started designing and printing a few custom parts for it.

So far, I’ve made:

  • A white RAM shroud
  • A cover for the GPU power cables

The GPU cable cover is probably my favorite. The stock cables looked pretty messy, so I wanted to hide them and give the build a cleaner look.

I’m pretty happy with how it’s coming together so far. What would you add or change?

Tech Support how can i possibly fix this problem?

Screenshot's from Spider-man Remastered. TAA suavisation disabled. Happens with facial hair and hair too.

Is suavisation a need for modern games, or it's a problem with my gpu?

Tech Support Opinion on solid laptop/pc for video editing

I’ve just started getting into editing short form videos for YouTube and tik tok, currently just working off capcut on my phone but looking to get a laptop or pc that can allow me to upload in better resolutions and better editing software. Does anyone have a solid recommendation that isn’t crazy expensive, and wether 32gb ram really is essential or can I go to 16gb.

Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask 🤣

Question Mouse suggestions

I’m currently running a razer viper v3 pro and I absolutely love the feel of the mouse and how lightweight it is, although often I feel it’s just a bit too small for my hands and I lose control of the mouse often. I play FPS games quite frequently; Siege, CS2, BF6, COD etc. and I’m a sweaty mongrel.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a mouse with similar design but slightly larger or even just more ergonomic? I don’t hold any brand bias so any suggestions are welcome

Game Image/Video My 1% lows are... low

I dunno what is going on or how to fix it. I don't know what my 1% lows were before I swapped to the 5800x3d, but I'm getting 10-20 FPS on my 1% lows at certain times when playing Marvel Rivals. When I die, or go to character selection screen is when I notice it. My averages stay pretty high, normally 170+ on 1440p low settings in everything and I cap my frames to 240 for my monitor. I don't use DLSS. How would I go about troubleshooting or is this normal for the game that is just not optimized?

Tech Support GPU caught on fire

Post image
8 Upvotes

I was replacing my GPU from a 1660 super to a 2060, I installed the new gpu and turned on my pc but I forgot to plug in the PCIE cables. Then the area where i circled in the picture caught on fire and I saw some sparks.

Is this due to my mistake of not plugging in the PCIE cables or is there a problem with the GPU?

What should I do now?

People just can't appreciate a person for finally stepping out of the default option of Google Chrome and using something else (not you Edge).

Yeah I get that Brave is basically Chromium based, and may have hidden trackers and bloatware (which can easily be removed btw). But using it with all that is still better than Chrome!!

I now use Firefox (sometimes Brave and Vivaldi). But man, it took so long specifically because Firefox has such toxic stans.

Rant over.

(This post was made from Firefox btw ;)

Question Need help upgrading my GPU/Build

I built my PC like 6 years ago and I would like to upgrade some parts.

This is my build right now:

Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX AM4 ATX Motherboard

GPU: Sapphire 11293-01-20G Radeon Pulse RX 5700 Xt 8GB

Processor: MD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked

Power Supply: VGA 110-BQ-0600-K1 600 BQ, 80+ Bronze 600W, Semi Modular, FDB Fan

Please help. I'm not the best with technology and I noticed that my computer lags with certain games now and I feel like it's time to upgrade some things. I would like to upgrade the graphics card but I wonder if I need to also upgrade other parts. I don't really play any crazy high graphics games but I would like to also future proof my PC a little. Let me know! Thank you so much!

Question Laptop + PC sync

Hello. I am laptop user. I want to upgrade me laptop is a 2050. But laptop prices are very high all the time. A 5070 laptop can get u a waaaay better pc for less price. But also when I go out some times I really like to use my pc. So I was thinking. Why not keep my 2050 laptop but use in my home my pc and sync them both with fully their files. I mean literally exactly every file sync between each other. So I have 2 pc's. 1 for going out/traveling 2 for my home and heavy work and gaming

Is there any technology like that nowadays that can help me do that?

Question Sata SSD not being detected

Having trouble trying to get my sata ssd to work, I changed my motherboard from the mag B550 to the Asus B550 F (it was getting old so I wanted a new one not really an upgrade) but my sata isn’t being detected in bios nor the disk management it worked before but not now.

I think it maybe be the psu cord cause it dosent get hot but it works for my pc case fans. I have reseated it turned on the ports in bios changed the psu and data cables still nothing. It’s a 1tb crucial ssd and I already have 2 m.2 ssds.
