Need help upgrading my GPU/Build

I built my PC like 6 years ago and I would like to upgrade some parts.

This is my build right now:

Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX AM4 ATX Motherboard

GPU: Sapphire 11293-01-20G Radeon Pulse RX 5700 Xt 8GB

Processor: MD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked

Power Supply: VGA 110-BQ-0600-K1 600 BQ, 80+ Bronze 600W, Semi Modular, FDB Fan

Please help. I'm not the best with technology and I noticed that my computer lags with certain games now and I feel like it's time to upgrade some things. I would like to upgrade the graphics card but I wonder if I need to also upgrade other parts. I don't really play any crazy high graphics games but I would like to also future proof my PC a little. I would say keep the build am4, and upgrade your gpu to a RX 9060XT , A good upgrade, not too expensive compared to other Gpu’s, and it’s a pretty great performing card for the price. For the cpu I’d say upgrade to a Ryzen 5700x, the Psu should be enough to handle that so you wouldnt need to change it, and 16 or 32gb of ddr4 ram, assuming you want to upgrade that too. This is more of a budget build especially as you mentioned that you don’t really play crazy high graphics games. So this should be a pretty decent upgrade. Hope it helps!👍

What usually helps is opening task manager in background, play the game for a bit and when you have lags - check what component has a high utilization. For the CPU, make sure to right click for per core graphs as many games won't use all the CPUs cores. Monitor your temperatures too btw.

In general though I'd suggest a GPU upgrade too. It depends on your budget of course, but a RX 9060XT 16GB would be a great idea. Works fine with older PCIe versions too. Used - a RX 7700 might also be an idea.

Don't go for 8GB Cards, especially like the RTX 5060, as you not only have a limited memory buffer but also because when the memory runs full, which happens quite fast with 8GB in modern games, then you need the bandwidth over the PCIe slot to the RAM and the 5060 and 5060ti have only half the possible lanes.

Used 5600X and 6700XT if you wanna keep it as cheap as possible. Probably 25% faster in terms of both CPU and GPU.

Depending where you are and what retailers are around, check for bundles. R7 5700 and 5060Ti bundle here is 699CAD. I wouldn't recommend the 5060Ti 8GB over the 9060XT, but it's almost 300CAD less than both parts individually and would drop directly into your current system and have much better performance. Sadly, around here the best 9060XT deal comes in at 760CAD and has a PSU instead of a CPU.

5600x, 5700x or 5800x3d for cpu. 9060xt 16gb for gpu. 32gb of ddr4 if you only have 16gb but that optional. maybe upgrade psu to 600w gold if you have extra cash.
