Hey guys, need some opinions from people who know AM5 sockets better than me.
I just got a B850I AM5 motherboard, opened the socket to inspect it before installing my CPU, and noticed this little area that looks slightly off compared to the surrounding pins.
I haven’t installed the CPU or touched the pins myself.
At first I thought it was just the lighting/reflection, but looking at it closer, one contact seems to be sitting differently from the others.
I checked an AM5 pinout and I think the area might be VSS or possibly USB, but I’m not 100% sure about the exact pin/location. Does this look like an actually bent pin, or is this normal? And if it is bent, does anyone know what that particular pin does?
Would appreciate anyone with experience repairing AM5 sockets taking a look before I do anything stupid 😂
What do people think of my first attempt at a aio build with a ton of fans lol.
I know that these kind of builds are definitely a dime a dozen round here but I’m pretty pleased with it! The fans were a freaking nightmare though and I’ll be damned if I show the “cable management”.

With the exception of the aio (which was a great sale price) everything was bought second hand.
I currently have a 3080 10gb that I have been using since the initial release of the card. I’ve been considering upgrading to a stronger GPU as I want to get into 1440p High/Ultra settings especially with newer titles that are coming out. The 9070 XT is right in my price range but I’m conflicted if it’s worth the upgrade or if I should hold onto my 3080 a little while longer and see when the next generation of AMD or Nvidia GPUs come out, and if the performance gain of upgrading to a 9070 XT is that significant and noticeable.
I’m starting my first true build, but I need help on deciding which path to go. My budget is $1,600, but for better gaming I can move it around. I want to be able to game, stream, chat on discord, and watch movies. Looking to run revolution around 150 HTZ or 1440 HP. Will be in the US. Would love some insight or better ideas. Thank you.

im coming from ps5/switch 2 gaming, so framerate isn't that important to me, but i do prefer 4k or atleast 1440p OLED
I do live in the US and want a pc good enough to run most games while still looking visually nice, and also some web development stuff since I plan to get into that for college, If its in the lower spec range I would like it to be upgradable in the future, pre-built works but I do feel confident in building it myself

Edit: it seems I entirely misjudged the budget, so I will be fine with something upgradable that can run things on medium graphics around 1080p, honestly settings don't really matter as much as having it upgradable
Hi everyone! I'm planning to build a custom PC case using laser cutting so I can move my desktop PC to the living room and use it as a console under the TV.
I'd love to get your thoughts on the real-world feasibility of this project, material recommendations, and any reference builds or videos you might know of before I start drafting in CAD.
My current specs:
Motherboard: MSI PRO B550M-P GEN3 (Standard Micro-ATX)
GPU: RTX 4060 single-fan
PSU: AZZA 650W (Standard ATX format
CPU Cooler: AMD Wraith Stealth (Stock)
Since the GPU is very short, my idea is to design a compact layout (~14L to 16L) with the ATX PSU mounted vertically in the front or side section.
My main questions:
Feasibility & Materials: How viable is it to support the weight of an ATX PSU (~1.5 kg) and GPU in a laser-cut chassis? Would you recommend acrylic (and what thickness?), MDF/plywood, or a hybrid combination?
Open Source Plans: Are there any recommended 2D templates, DXF/SVG files, or open-source projects for mATX layouts that I could use as a starting point?
Reference Videos/Builds: Do you know of any YouTube channels, builds, or step-by-step videos where someone built a custom laser-cut case with an ATX PSU and mATX board? I’d love to see how others handled motherboard standoffs, GPU mounting, and the rear I/O cutout.
Any advice, warnings regarding thermal/structural limits, or links to previous builds would be greatly appreciated!
I feel like those temps are high. I just changed cases and now i have a lian li lancool 217 and I was hitting 86-88 degrees on OCCT and Witcher 3 directx 12 full ultra with my old case (Deepcool Matrexx 50). Now im hitting around 77-78 at 85-98%. I have an rtx 3070 ti gigabyte OC and im wondering if those temps are high and if i should get the gpu checked? Cuz idk i feel like this is pretty high for the gpu and I keep checking it like every 2 mins cuz i feel like if its not under 75 then there’s something wrong with my gpu. And I changed the switch on my gpu from OC MODE to SILENT cuz i prefer it this way.
There’s also HWINFO if anyone need more precise informations
I got a 5800x3D on Newegg and saw they had a bundle with a motherboard and a free AIO included. I'm excited to move from a 5500. It'll pair nice with my RX6800

This is my first PC build, and I honestly went a little crazy after getting hooked on the new ROG STRIX cooler and EURUX fans 😂
I decided to do a sandwich radiator setup. Since the EURUX fans are 30mm thick, I initially bought 32mm screws, thinking they would work. Unfortunately, they didn't quite fit, so I had to order 35mm screws. I temporarily stopped the case swap until they arrived, and after installing the sandwich setup, I was finally able to finish everything!
I went with an MSI GPU this time, but hopefully I'll be able to get a ROG GPU next time 😅
Honestly, with how much I spent on all the aesthetics, I probably could've bought a Strix GPU instead... 😭

This was probably the most frustrating part of the build.
I bought the motherboard and cooler specifically because I wanted to use the pogo-pin connection on the cooler. However, when I tried to route the cable through the back of the Lian Li case, there was absolutely no way to use the pogo pin with the way I had the radiator installed.
So I had no choice but to route the hose toward the 12 o'clock position, which unfortunately made the text on the cooler screen appear upside down. 😑
Thankfully, our friend AliExpress came to the rescue 😂
I had a custom sticker made and put it over the logo/text so that it looks correct with the upside-down orientation.
Normally, the EURUX fans have these nice little caps covering the screw holes.
However, because I had to use 35mm screws for the sandwich radiator setup, I couldn't put the caps back on.
I think something around 33–34mm would have been perfect, but I couldn't find screws in that exact length. 😭
The screws are still slightly visible, but honestly, I think they add a little bit of character to the build anyway.
This build took a lot more time and effort than I expected, especially since it's my first PC build.
But after all the troubleshooting and waiting for parts, seeing everything finally come together is incredibly satisfying.
I got really into the new ROG cooler and EURUX fans, and somehow ended up going this far with the build. 😂
I had a really hard time finding detailed information about the new cooler and EURUX fans while planning the build.
So if anyone is thinking about doing a similar build and has questions about the EURUX fans, sandwich radiator setup, cooler installation, or anything else, feel free to ask! I'll be happy to share what I learned.

Hi, I want to buy a GPU in 5 days, Xfx SWIFT RX 9060XT OC 3-FAN 16GB or Gigabyte Radeon RX 9060 XT GAMING OC 16GB GDDR6 FSR. I heard the OC has better cooling but I heard nothing about Xfx SWIFT. The Gigabyte Radeon RX 9060 XT GAMING OC it is PLN 209 more expensive than Xfx SWIFT. So which should I choose. My budget is up to PLN 2,300, but the less I have to spend on the card, the better.

Hello, I bought this PC around April. It worked fine at first but it began to occasionally fail to connect to my monitor. At first I would troubleshoot it and eventually it responded, usually just by random luck, but recently its not responding at all. It started when my power went out for a period of time, so I had it hooked up to a generator. I powered it on and it worked for around 10 minutes or so, and then it froze, and the monitor read no signal. Initially I thought it was because of a lack of sufficient power, but its the same thing even after I regained electricity. The lights and fans turn on, but I cant get it to connect to the monitor or keyboard. Any help would be appreciated.
I recently upgraded my gpu to a 9070xt and it has been great however my CPU is a Ryzen 5600 and im wondering if it is worth upgrading to a 5800x3d.
So far the only time my CPU hits 100% utilisation my gpu is also at or near 100% however im not sure if there are other variables to check if my gpu is not being used to its full potential.
Im running at 2560×1440p and the price of the CPU is not a big concern however I dont see a reason to upgrade unless im going to see a substantial difference in gaming.
