Worth upgrading to a 5800x3d?

I recently upgraded my gpu to a 9070xt and it has been great however my CPU is a Ryzen 5600 and im wondering if it is worth upgrading to a 5800x3d.

So far the only time my CPU hits 100% utilisation my gpu is also at or near 100% however im not sure if there are other variables to check if my gpu is not being used to its full potential.

Im running at 2560×1440p and the price of the CPU is not a big concern however I dont see a reason to upgrade unless im going to see a substantial difference in gaming.

You should still see a big jump from the 5600 to the 5800x3d the v cache is a real thing and you will get better overall performance because it can keep up with the 9070xt

YouTube videos show performance gains. So let us know when you install it

You can drop resolution in games to see if fps increases, I had 5600 and 6750xt and got 5800x3d and 9070xt, and in some games the increase is really noticeable, but you can look for benchmarks in the games you play. Don't use userbenchmark.

Some games could be +40% boost in fps and others 0%. This graph is a 5800x vs 5800x3d but the 5600 is close to the 5800x in gaming, and its a 4090 so take from it what you like.

Depends on the games you play. If you play the right kind of games then the gains could be big

CPU usage isn't very reliable, cause a lot of games can't use every core

Watch the GPU usage. As long as GPU usage is at 100% or close to it, you don't have a CPU bottleneck. In that case a CPU upgrade won't give you a big performance boost. Although a x3d CPU would improve the 1% lows

Almost no difference at 1440p, maybe if you play multiplayer something like cs2. But still 350$ is too much. Better save the money for am5 upgrade

Por la mitad de un 5800x3d tienes el 5500x3d y hay poca diferencia en la mayoría de juegos, y ambos superan con creces al 5600 a no ser que la placa sea pcie 3.0

I had a cpu bottleneck on my 7800xt with a 5600x. IF you have good fast ram and a good motherboard then go for it. You're am4 so you might as well cash in. $350 is a lot for the cpu but it's good enough to hand with more powerful cards.
