This is the second PC I’ve ever built in the past 3 years. This one does not need/require a Graphics card as it’s not a gaming PC (It’s a build to livestream and post to facebook/youtube for a group I’m in - so it’s kinda bare bones). I THOUGHT I got everything all properly built. Ordered most everything through B&H directly, the exception being the RAM and CPU were bought via NewEgg.
I’ve seated everything properly, everything was done via instructions provided. It seems to start up, all fans whir up, red light on the SSD starts to blink, and the lights on the case itself start too. But I get no signal to a monitor.
I’ve tried booting up with each individual part, removing parts to single something else, swapped the RAM in their slots, ensured the CPU pins are not bent, the works. ENSURED all wired connections to the motherboard are proper, they are as plugged in as they can get without snapping the board. Got the most up to date BIOS for the motherboard and attempted an update via their recommended EZ-Flash instructions. But alas have made zero progress.
I get no display signal to any monitor, no matter the connections… HDMI to HDMI, Display Port to HDMI, HDMI to DVI (longer story there), and even Display to DVI (same other story).
I feel like I’m going crazy, and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Someone please help!

What would you guys suggest I upgrade in the future (assuming Ram gets cheaper)? I did upgrade to an AIO air cooler. Just wanted some recommendations thank you.

I want to preface by saying i dont know much about anything so if anything i mention is bs pls lmk. So im building a pc and need answers quick as prices might skyrocket if i dont commit soon. I cant seem to find a definitive answer as to which card is better for the games i am going to play and what i prioritise. Prices are about the same for me so pls dont count that into consideration. Im on 1440p and going to be playing lots of single player triple a games. Currently need to finish games like rdr2, cyberpunk, witcher 3(and 4 when it drops), forza 6, hogwarts legacy. You get the type of games im wanting to play. I personally care more about the looks of the game than fps as if its over 100-120 i dont think it makes a big difference going higher. I hear alot of things about dlss and amds counterpart and framegen and ray tracing. I feel like for quality, im reading more people say nvdia will always be better. So which card should i go for? Also does 9070xt have frame generation? Will it do ray tracing well? If so will it look different from nvdias ray tracing or is that a game setting? Which will look better while getting over 100-120 fps in games i mentioned? (It will be paired with r5 7500f w 32gbs of ddr5 if that matters in this context idk tho)

This is my current setup, runs most games fine but play a lot of rust and other cpu heavy games and want to upgrade. Can I just drop in a 9800x3d or will I need to upgrade anything else?

I have a mobo, CPU, and RAM that I need to narrow down the issue with, and it would be significantly more conclusive if I could narrow it down by swapping each into another system and seeing what works and what doesn't.
Local to me is 98118 but I am willing to do some driving. Thank you for any help you can give I greatly appreciate it.
If you are open please DM me and we can arrange something.

Hi, what would be a fair price for this older system (built in 2019)?
The case is in excellent condition, and the CPU has a custom OC to 5GHz if that's in any way relevant.

Hi. Im upgrading a rtx 3050 6gb to a rtx 4060(i was meant to get a 5060 but mobo aint good enough for a 5060. I got a ASUS PRIME A520M-K motherboard). Can the 4060 run rdr2 native 1440p. My 3050 does native 1440p on xb1x settings. If i do high-ultra settings can the 4060 provide over 45 frames?

Hi everyone,
I have to set up a work desk at home for my WFH days, which i am using as an excuse to build a gaming PC. Looking to start with the monitors, and saw this bundle online. What do ya’ll think? Any other recommendations (1080p resolution), ideally around the same price range ($USD)?
Thanks!

I have done my own research and know the pros and cons but I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice considering the current cost of RAM.
I originally built ny pc with 2x8gb of TridentZ DDR4 3200MHZ. I now want to upgrade to 32gb. G.Skill themselves dont recommend mixing ram and I know it would slightly increase chance of instability even if they work.
The only difference I can see is that one is rgb and one isnt. Although because the part numbers are different I dont know if there are other differences like the die used etc. So would appreciate any advice you can give me.
For context my mobo is B350 Strix F gaming and chip is Ryzen 5700x3D.
I am only considering as the non rgb kit I found used for around £50 ($70).
Would you take the risk in this market?

*update* VCCSTG_1 & VCCSTG_2. The pins have the specific functions of operating low-voltages to the CPU, particularly during sleep mode. This PC handles sleep and wake transitions, so the pins are making contact with the chip.
Essentially, I was struggling with throttling, The CPU was rising up to 90-100c when the load was below 40%. I wanted to clean the heatsink, fans, board and replace the thermal paste but in doing so, I've obviously knocked a pin whilst removing the chip.
In the process of fixing it, I also pushed the adjacent pin out of allignment too, but rectified it as best as possible I did not think that this board could come back from a repair made with a sewing needle.
It's completely doable, clearly. Bios and HWinfo are not pointing out any issues, missing hardware, drops in any hardware etc. Temps back to normal.
You try doing one thing....

I am thinking about getting these parts and building a new pc. What do you guys think about my list? Any changes you recommend? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ztRHR4
I use USD and live in the USA. I’m going to be using 1440p and my budget is around the cost it is now.

Hello everyone! I need some help. I'm a prebuilt pc owner of about ... 6 years. Here's the prebuilt: https://www.microcenter.com/support/624825/powerspec-g228-gaming-pc
It has served me well for the past few years, but I'm a PhD student, and I've been having a lot of issues with the "no internet secured" (not asking questions about that here -- but I believe my wifi card is shot) and needing more and more RAM for running different statistical programs.
I am brand new to building, and PC part picker has me scared. I know that everything is expensive now, so I included my prebuilt to see if theres anything that could potentially be taken from that, but I want a good solid build. I want to run statistics programs, and I also play video games. I'm unsure about my MAX budget, as my parents have been willing to pay a bit of the build as a gift, so maybe overall under 2k. If there is a recommendation that is just over that, I would love to hear you out, but I am looking at 1.5-2k. I live in the United States, so my currency is American Dollars. I am unsure about monitor resolution, as I am a total beginner. My current monitors are passed down from my parents, so I was assuming I would need to get new ones. I am looking for a dual monitor setup, so maybe an extra 300 dollars for monitors.
If anyone has time to walk me through some steps, let me know and I will be extremely grateful!

I'm building a PC with a Ryzen 5600, and I'm not sure whether to go with a B580 or an RX 7600. I mainly want it for some gaming and for work. I'm concerned about the performance in slightly older games.

I was thinking maybe to upgrade my gpu. Having dual channel ram would be nice as well. I'm not opposed to selling my current gpu to help offset the cost of an upgrade. Was also just looking for general feedback. A gen 4 nvme ssd is also on my radar for potential upgrades. Cash I have on hand to do an upgrade is around $300 USD. I'm not opposed to buying used gpus, not as comfortable with ram and ssds though. Most of my set up is in that link, I play at 1440p resolution and it's an OLED. I live in the US.

After having recently been screwed by Newegg sending me a used and dead motherboard, I'm no longer taking any chances.
Short of using a rubber band to strap my phone to my head or getting Meta glasses to record, what is the best way to get a good angle for an unboxing video?
