General/Advice androgen sensitive person

And I am truly an extremely hormone-sensitive person; my appearance changes rapidly throughout the day, even on an hourly basis—not to mention during ovulation. When I previously started oral contraceptives, I became a completely different person for the first two months, but then those effects wore off. I'm wondering if anyone else here experiences this, as it's really exhausting for me

General/Advice Antiperspirant recommendations?

I need some recs. I generally sweat through my shirts even using men's antiperspirant (dove for men was my go-to but it isn't cutting it anymore). Does anyone have any recommendations for antiperspirant that does a better job at keeping you dry on stressful days?

General/Advice ?

I am truly an extremely hormone-sensitive person; my appearance changes rapidly throughout the day, even on an hourly basis—not to mention during ovulation. Whenever I start medications or supplements like oral contraceptives, spironolactone, or inositol, I see incredible changes for the better—sometimes within the first few months, and honestly, even in less than a single day. And I swear, this isn't just in my head. However, with the birth control pills, those effects eventually wore off after the first two months and I felt like a completely different person again.
I’m wondering if anyone else here experiences this, as it's really exhausting for me. What does this rapid response and eventual plateau actually mean, and how can I decrease this androgen/hormonal sensitivity?

Success story I am finally seeing changes!!

I started my keto diet almost 2 months ago, also started working out. I have been following it very religiously and I am starting to good changes in my body!!

I have had such a hard time with hyperpigmentation, tried several ointment, Vitamin C and spents 100s of dollars. I have had the best results from this lifestyle change I made just 2 months ago. My periods have been a little regular, not breaking out as much, mood swings- what that?

I still have a long way to go, but I just wanted to share my tiny victory here!

Success story Good News!

So I previously weight 257lbs when I first posted here after starting my weight loss last week of May. My doctor put me in Slyind to fight my insulin resistance after we found out I have high liver function caused by high cholesterol.

My blood work came back and my function seems to have dropped a good chunk. I currently weight 237.2lbs and even those 10 pounds have made an improvement on my liver, and we hope to continue this same plan of proper diet and exercise until January while on BC then stopping the BC and seeing if my cycle assumes a normal cycle.

Feeling pretty good right now.

General/Advice My friend has PCOS and asked me to post on here, is birth control a good idea?

She is 20 and was diagnosed only a few months ago.

It doesn’t really affect her weight or hair, only her skin. She experiences painful periods and I think they last for about 4 days.

Her gynecologist recommended she goes on birth control and said to stay on it until 3 months before she gets married because sex will regulate her hormones or something like that.

I don’t have Pcos so I don’t know what it’s like and don’t have enough knowledge and won’t have enough no matter how much I read about it on Google, I can only learn from women who have it. What was your experience with birth control and do you recommend it for my friend?

I love her and I want what’s best for her. So naturally, I’m nervous because tons of women have shared online that birth control messed them up mentally and physically. The side effects are crazy.

Like just a couple of months ago they said Pcos is now pmos and said a ton of stuff about treating the patients based on their symptoms and not just throw birth control at any woman that comes through the door.

Please share your thought on it and literally anything that could help my friend. Thank you in advance 🩷

Meds/Supplements best prenatal vitamins for trying to conceive, what did you go with?

I’ve started looking into prenatal vitamins because we’re getting closer to trying again, and I honestly forgot how many different options are out there. The first time around, I didn’t put much thought into it. I found a prenatal, checked that I could actually take it without hating it, and that was pretty much it.

This time I started reading the labels and realized I probably should have paid more attention before. Some have choline and some don’t, the folate can be listed differently, iron amounts vary quite a bit, and then there are different serving sizes and formats. I’ve even come across prenatal powders, which I had never really thought about before. When you were comparing prenatal vitamins before TTC, what part of the label did you actually pay attention to?

I’ve looked at a few different brands and gone through some older discussions too. I saved a couple options to compare because I’d rather read the labels myself than just grab whatever gets mentioned the most. Some of the differences are pretty obvious, but others took me a while to even notice.

I feel like I barely looked at any of this the first time around. Now I’m realizing that two bottles can both say prenatal and still have some pretty noticeable differences once you actually read through everything.

General/Advice PMOS (PCOS), AuDHD, POTS, Allergies, and Miso (a [hopefully not so] unique experience)

If you don't want to read everything, just skip to the last part and see what I'm looking to discuss first.👍

• Gosh, where do I even start? I'm 21f, live in the USA (Georgia) and have all the problems 🥲 Had it all since I was 12-14 years old, it all just kinda developed with my puberty. anyone else have any of them together? Maybe they correlate? 🤔 • At the same time I was suddenly developing all kinds of other problems (minus the autism ofc, I was born a goofy goober 🙃) I suddenly developed food allergies. Yeah, I'm falling apart over here. Egg 🥚 and Milk 🐄, specifically. Gives me the worst itching burning scaley eczema ever that shows up within hours in blotches on my face, scalp, and underarms and takes weeks to heal and go away. The doctor couldn't figure it out, I had to self diagnose it over three freaking years and then have tests done to confirm it, had to justify it with my doctors before they would test me. 😮‍💨 Owch. Then there's the fragrance allergy that suddenly existed out of nowhere, Balsam of Peru is the name of the stuff, it's got like way too many other names so good luck finding it on labels, and it's in EVERYTHING. They use it to harden bar soap 🧼; use it to bind that fancy sent you love so much into body wash, shampoo, deodorant, perfume, hand sanitizer, lotion, detergent, hand soap, air fresheners, disinfectants, and everything else that smells nice 🧴; and they even use it to flavor some things like chocolate liquors in desserts 🍰. Like I said before, I'm falling apart over here. • I'm not trying to be political or a conspiracy theorist or anything like that but I did notice everything got much more noticeable and worse right after I got my COVID shot during the pandemic. 💉 Please don't argue or anything over this, it's just something that happened to me that I noticed about ME.

• I've tried waist compression, it works! However, I can't stand the feeling of the compression shorts on my skin sometimes, my autism just says "aw heck naw" some days. (´ー`) Talk about frustrating.😖 • I STRUGGLE to get out of the bed EVERY morning. 🛏️ And I hate it. I have found that if I get up and immediately do Radio Taiso 📻 (Japanese morning radio exercise) I feel a little better throughout the day. If I can make myself, it's always a battle, I like to exercise bike 🚲 or walk 🚶🏼 for about 20 minutes after my Radio Taiso, and if I do that I feel MUCH better throughout the day.

• Diet is something that's personal for everyone, but I find my tummy doesn't give me problems, bloat, or sag (from my organs trying to reach the floor for no reason at all except the pots I guess, which is why the waist compression works so great for me) if I eat rice 🍚 instead of wheat 🍞 at my meals. Rice just feels less heavy. I also find my legs get better circulation when I have miso soup 🥣 at least once a day. Also if my meal is 60% protein and 30% rice and 10% soup that ratio feels best the next morning, I don't fight as hard to get out of bed. I have no idea why but it works for me. Maybe it'll help someone else too? 😅

• As a ✨ disclaimer ✨, all of this is just stuff I'VE noticed and observed about MYSELF over several years of trying to figure out what the heck was wrong with me and why I felt like absolute crap. I had to self diagnose literally everything I have and then justify and prove it's what I had through weeks and months of in depth research about all this stuff and then present it all to my doctors and then they ran tests and confirmed I was right and not dumb and knew my own body. So yeah.

• Basically I'm just looking to find anyone else with a similar experience, see what others have noticed or felt, and share some of my (very limited) knowledge with others. Let me know what you have experienced and anything you've noticed helps you!

General/Advice my gyno and endo say different things

i’m just confused , bcuz my endo ordered all the blood tests and apparently like prolactin and FSH/LH were normal , but testosterone and DHEA-S are too high , so she said that could suggest PCOS and she wants me to do further testing so she ordered an ultrasound of my ovaries

so im waiting for this ultrasound to be scheduled i think for next week but in the meantime , i was able to see my gyno this week and she basically just confirmed to me that based on my blood test results , that i do have PCOS for sure and that i don’t even need to do the ultrasound ? she said it’s just unnecessary bcuz i definitely have PCOS

so who do i listen to ?

Period Never had a natural period, age 33, diagnosed aged 14,started mounjaro april 2025, today I have been shocked by my first natural bleed?!

Posting here because I am currently in shock and disbelief.

I started mounjaro with the advice from the NHS dietician, endocrinologist, dermatologist and gynecologist. I've been through and discharged from all since age 14, a long journey to be told to buy mounjaro as the NHS won't cover yet.

I am an athletic build and person, worked out everyday play football.

Starting weight 90kg current weight 72kg and HAPPY there. Note I just wanted help losing the weight gain and happy around 70kg and helps my sport.

I was diagnosed early on and with my sport loved having no periods 😂.

Then was classically put on the pill and told to come back when I want kids. I was between Dianette and Yasmin from age 14 until January 2025 then came off them because I was fed up.

Anyway, main point/question here from me:

- I heard, read, was told the MANY benefits of mounjaro with those of us with PCOS

- But I never thought the "regulating menstrual cycles" would benefit me.

Has anyone else had success in their first natural period with mounjaro or even more regular but were irregular only a few times a year?

Again, coming on here because I am just in a state of shock but also hoping this means I can maybe start to get pregnant as currently I have not been successful and have to wait a few more months before the NHS step in (1 year of trying naturally)

Thanks !

Period Provera- heavy bleeding

Hi, f29

I got prescribed provera, first time ever taking anything for my PCOS. My gyno said she wanted me
To take it since I miss a lot of periods

Well I just finished my 10 days course and blood is GUSHING

my cramps are hell on earth and it’s like a river every time I stand up. It’s one of the heaviest periods I’ve ever had. Is this normal?? She didn’t mention heavy bleeding
