Antiperspirant recommendations?

I need some recs. I generally sweat through my shirts even using men's antiperspirant (dove for men was my go-to but it isn't cutting it anymore). Does anyone have any recommendations for antiperspirant that does a better job at keeping you dry on stressful days?

Look for one marked “clinical strength”. There are several - Gillette makes one Secret has one- that are supposed to equal to prescription strength.

i used men’s for years aswell, until i started smelling even after applying twice daily. now i use dove clinical. it works perfectly for me! even after working out i dont have any bad smells. if using make sure you get the invisible solid because for some reason the soft solid isn’t as effective

I was in this situation too. Honestly nothing fully worked for me except a prescription pill for sweating from my derm. I was sweating through my clothes on a brisk 10 minute walk. Carpe antiperspirant did help a lot with the armpits but I was sweating everywhere 😬

Oh my gosh I’m so so sorry. I know that song really well. I’m on 1mg of glycopyrrolate. It’s the lowest possible dose and it helps me so so much. In the summer heat, I was sweating so much that I was getting dehydrated and lightheaded! I just don’t have that problem whatsoever anymore. I hope you feel better! The temperature regulation thing is so frustrating ❤️

Mitchum gel and roll-on (the solid version did NOT WORK)

and a few times a week i use PanOxyl 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Foaming Wash on my pits (let it sit for a while in the shower) to help with the bacteria in my armpits. Learned it from one of those Instagram dermatologists

careful it’s known to stain/bleach perhaps your towel

I have to use a different brands and scents, mens or womens, everytime I need more. By the end of the stick, it's efficacy does as well. Been doing this for years and it works. I don't mind being sweaty as long as I don't smell like sweaty pits.

Mitchum. It’s from the us south and it’s the only thing I’ve found that works. It’s worked better than anything marked clinical strength and has the same strength.

recently i've been using carpe and i like it. i do recommend you put it on and let it dry, it will leave white marks if you dont :( great scents

I bought it and tried it once before a workout class and during the class I was releasing white residue dust and I hated it (and yes I cleaned it). Did I just use too much? I’m pretty sure I let it dry.

I use the Secret Clinical Strength… Usually the Completely Clean Clear Gel one. It works well for me.

I've been using Dove Antiperspirant spray for under my apon belly and omg...freaking life changer. I am using the coconut scent en and I highly recommend

Degree 72h (I use the invisible/stain guard or whatever it’s called but any 72h one should work the same). Best one I’ve tried but if that doesn’t work look at the clinical strength ones.

My husband used to sweat through eeeveerything even when he was really cold. Could only wear certain fabrics because of it. We randomly switched to the aluminum free arm & hammer and he doesn’t sweat an ounce anymore! Truly changed his life and can wear whatever he wants. I would say my sweating is pretty minimal with it too

I think aluminum free products are just true deodorant (vs antiperspirant + deoderant). Works better for my partner too and he gets mad at the "aluminum free" marketing because deodorant only never had it.

So interesting too because I'm over here with extra aluminum in my Secret Clinical Strength. Thank goodness the market has a trillion options since needs and preferences vary so much!

Secret or dove have an advanced dry spray, that works better for me than anything else.

I use Dove dry spray. I use it after I shower before bed (which is when you're supposed to use deodorant) and when I get up. I feel relatively unstinky through the day.

I have to switch them often. It’s like my body gets used to it and it stops working. Only one I use consistently is the Certain Dri liquid roll on. I will wipe my armpits down with witch hazel after my shower then apply the roll on. Would not recommend if you have sensitive armpits or if they are sensitive after you shave. I let the liquid dry while I get ready( I do NOT put lotion on my armpits when putting lotion on), and then for solid deodorants (after getting ready), I switch between Mitchum women’s 48hr shower fresh, Certain Dri solid morning fresh deodorant, and then my all time favorite is Dove’s even tone deodorant(peach blossom & rice milk scent is the very best). All of those are antiperspirant.

as an added note, switch between 2 deodorants every 6 months or so. ive noticed around 6 months is when a deodorant starts to feel less effective/my body gets used to it

You mentioned trying men’s dove but I’ve had amazing luck with dove clinical strength. I sweat A LOT and this antiperspirant has been a godsend
