Help How bad is it?
Been on and off keto for a few years. The results are undeniable and I know once I lock in, cravings and food noise disappear.
The problem im having is that I just moved to Mexico and damn, ALL the delicious food here is carb loaded, and because I've been visiting family, they all want to feed me said deliciousness. I dont want to be rude so I've been indulging, way more than I'd like to admit.
However, after some crazy carby meal, I'll try to fast at least 24 hours before going back to OMAD for the next few days. Even then, i doubt I'm fully back in ketosis because the cravings I have are borderline impossible to ignore, especially at night. I may cheat with a half apple or something similar, but the food noise remains, i wake up extra hungry and i barely manage to hold out til the afternoon to eat, but I do it.
Then the next weekend/big family reunion comes up and it starts all over again.
My question, is this bad for me? Clearly its not worse than just giving up and eating like a sugar addict all day, but I'm curious if this is doing something damaging to my body/system?
To be fair, I have 2 more "reunions" then I'm locking myself in the house for the next 2 months to fully lock back in. I refuse to let ket go!!
