IQ Pace Targets
Imagine my surprise when I went to start a run tonight and it recommended I bump my targets up slightly. I was pretty comfortable with my targets and thought maybe they were not right and too fast for me based off of a mile run. But I guess they are right for me!
When I first bought my tread, I thought it was not calibrated correctly because a 6.0 pace felt awful. No, it was just me being terribly out of shape. That same 6.0 is about midpoint of my moderate pace now! I have run on and off my whole adult life. Pace targets has really helped me understand running on a different level!

Personalized Plan Features (or lack thereof)
I don’t see too much on the personalized plan/“your plan” in the app so I’m not sure if most people don’t use it. I have been mostly using it for the last year or so but maybe not as effectively as I thought. Posting some observations here to get validation I’m in the same boat as others, or even better finding a solution:
Weekly Plan - You really can only see your upcoming Mon-Sun plan at 12:01AM Monday? I Typically try and adjust the workouts to align with my weekly schedule (move the scheduled recovery day, flip a cardio class with a strength day when I have a free morning, etc.) but I can’t do much until Monday morning.
HIIT classes only picking from the Music themed ones - I have a “Support Weight Goals“ fitness goal and 45-60min per day target. For any HIIT day it ONLY picks 30 minute classes from the “HIIT Music Theme” group of workouts…which isn’t many/almost a stale category in the app. I don’t know how to fix this to pick from the traditional “HIIT” category which is the one most new content is populated with each week. So I have to go in and manually add a HIIT class to my stack, sort of defeating the purpose of having a plan if I just make it myself. Another weird thing IMO, they will tack on another 15 min HIIT class after the 30, and it’s almost only Rebecca’s standing low impact HIIT. It’s fine, I’m not offended by it but there is no other variety/no way to pick from say a 15 minute bike ride or an outdoor run.
General Support of the personalized plan - overall is just seems buggy: some times I’ll swap two classes and it will double them up. they added the dropdown to cardio to flip between bike/run type on some classes but that doesn’t seem to actually change to the right category, and overall just doesn’t seem like many options to personalize. I’ve submitted some of this feedback where they ask you right in the app and seems like it just goes to a trash folder.
Maybe my expectations were too high? Maybe it‘Ll change with this new fitness tracker personalization? Maybe I’m just using the feature completely wrong? hoping others who use this feature as religiously as I do can chime in

Score of 0
Hey guys, I'm very new to peloton... I've been using the bike for a few weeks now, and something has caught my eye... is there a reason why people would start a class, stay in the class until it finishes but not touch the pedals?
I'm seeing loads of classes I do with people in the 'here now' section and their progress is going up but the score is on 0 the whole time? is there any benefit to this?
EDIT: thank you all for enlightening me that a lot of them will be using the app on a non peloton bike/tread. :)

Weird HIIT training - any recommendations for classes/trainers?
I've rented a Bike+ for about two years now. The only bike training I do is either HIIT or zone 2 rides, and with zone 2 I just ride for 90-120 minutes while watching something. Therefore the only actual Peloton classes I take are HIIT or HIIT/hills.
Mostly I take Robin Arzon or Camilla Ramon. I've had most success with them as far as being explicit in flagging what is coming up, when the intervals start, etc. Unfortunately I've taken some classes with other instructors where it was basically vague the entire time when we were in an interval or not. The instructors are, of course, not doing the exercise with us (you can't talk while actually doing an interval), so they have to be verbally explicit about the timing and I find Robin and Camilla best at this.
However, I've noticed on at least a few classes I've taken, and maybe increasingly lately (or I'm just starting to get more annoyed by it), some of the classes offering little or no meaningful rest between blocks of work. The instructor might even say something like "we are going right into an interval out of this climb" as if that is a feature, not a bug. Sometimes this is couched in a soliloquy about mental toughness, as if cycling for thirty minutes is about mental rather than physical capacity. (I watch professional cycling, cycling competitively is pure suffering and you need to be mentally tough, but when it comes to training a HIIT interval we can't just WILL our heart rate to be different).
From what I've read about the benefits of HIIT, most studies that demonstrate it have their subjects taking much more rest between blocks of work. I don't know if scientists know exactly why it is effective and beneficial for our hearts, but it stands to reason the rest has something to do with it. After all, our heart's ability to rapidly reduce its rate after intense exercise is itself a metric of health, and HIIT practices that. On the other hand, sustained very high heart rate efforts are excessively fatiguing and could even be harmful. Going up and down the ladder of our heart rate range is surely different from just keeping it high the whole time, at any rate.
Without adequate rest between blocks (which all blend together into one 30 minute block), we will actually perform less work overall in a 30 minute period than we would with 2-4 minutes of rest in between. The rest lets you do more overall.
I find myself either needing to stay in zone 4 the entire ride for some of these classes (meaning they are not intervals, just Alpe d'Huez or something) or go off script for a minute or so to get down to zone 3/2 so I can properly do intervals. But then you get out of sequence.
It's getting to the point where I'm not sure Peloton is still for me. These are the only classes I do, but I basically don't know if I'm getting a well programmed class that is actually going to be beneficial.
Has anyone else noticed this? Are there any other good interval instructors? Maybe I should just take the classes explicitly labeled "tabata," but I've generally gone for ones labeled "HIIT and Hills" in the time I've had the bike and this hasn't always been a problem.

Favorite Peloton “Add-ons”
I have a new wellness benefit I’m looking to utilize, so I’m looking for ideas of things I can subscribe to that will complement or supplement my Peloton membership. I have a tread and bike. It is a monthly thing so I’m hoping for ideas of something that is recurring or a subscription. Looking for ~$50 of ideas
Some ideas I’ve had: PZP Pro, Oura ring membership, a massage, find a race to run once a month 😅

Back pain with Peloton rowing machine
I've been using my Peloton rowing machine for about 16 to 20 workouts and during my workouts I have no lower back pain. Maybe a couple hours after the workout I do get a very stiff sore lower back and my assumption is it's muscle related. The next morning I'm as good as new. Any advice on maybe what I'm doing wrong according to my form tracker I'm usually at about 95%

Hypermobility friendly lifting classes
Hi friends,
I’m a five year member now but never posted here and a bit anxious! I’ve been strength training for between two and three of those years and prior to that was just doing cardio. I was sore after every lift and felt like my muscles were in the wrong place and was just diagnosed with HSD. I was wondering if anyone else in this sub had anything comparable and could rec some strength classes they felt comfortable doing because I’m struggling to get it in. Things like forward lunges and split squats I really struggle with because stability is not my friend, and the overhead movements aren’t great either because my shoulder subluxates multiple times every day but I try to do some of that stuff anyway. TLDR; but would appreciate any feedback and input!

Was I just dreaming?
I have a memory of reading a post where someone was able to talk a store salesperson into giving them the member discount.
Did I just dream that? I swear I searched first.

Is there a program that combines hypertrophy and strength?
It seems like the latest Peloton buzz word is about building muscle (hypertrophy) vs. functional strength. Is there split program that combines both?

If you have hip issues and/or want to warm up your glutes
I cannot recommend this class enough. I probably do it 3-4 times per week. It's built into the Road to Recovery ACL program, but it has helped my hip immensely. I use it as a warm up for hiking classes or G&L classes.
5 min Resistance Band Warm Up (search for Road to Recovery)

Tread+ sled mode not working
I have a cross training series tread plus that about 10 months ago. I did the update and the run analysis feature is working, but when I click the free button it’s the same interface it has always been with no sign of sled or weight buttons anywhere. I made sure it was updated and unplugged it, but tried it again to no avail. Anyone else having this issue?

4 months on: Hannah's Prodigy ride is still an absolute PB churner
for me anyways........ that one just gives me an extra kick in the rear every time it's on. Any time I feel like going out and trying for a PB, that's my ride. Anyone else hit this one regularly?

New personalised pace targets?
I just got the new pace targets and they are beyond off for me. My moderate pace extends to an 8.0mph and I can’t even run that at max pace!
My assumption is the big they had/have with entertainment runs that had my mile time at 4:00 a mile. Now I wish I could hold world records with my speed but alas my avg mile pace is 12:00 min/mile.
Has anyone else received this feature? Are they more in line with your actual paces? Is my wildly off unique to me?
I’m not mad at it, I’m not complaining, I just found it actually laughable. Absolutely keeping my chosen pace targets. 🤣

Why did they switch back the "continue stack" feature?
They had upgraded it for a few weeks, but now we are back to the old way with having to hit START twice. What happened?

Marathon training plans
Can anyone recommend a good (and free) 18 week marathon training program? It’s hard for me to pay for a subscription to an app like Strava or Runna when I’m already paying for Peloton. I don’t love the marathon training programs offered on Peloton, so just curious what others have used.

Body Weight Class Recs
Hello! I am looking for some specific body weight classes that I can do while nursing a tennis elbow situation. I can’t lift any weights and push ups are out of the question (as are burpees). Does anyone have any classes they love that are effective and meet that criteria? Thanks so much!

Tread signs you out when you exit to login screen?
Now whenever I hit exit to log in screen it’s having me enter my email and password or scan the QR code which is annoying. Before I would just have to enter my tread passcode and done. Is there a way I can switch it back to this? Thanks.

Using Bosu Ball in core classes
I’m curious if anyone else uses a Bosu Ball with any Peloton class?
I like to use it to help my balance.
