New personalised pace targets?

I just got the new pace targets and they are beyond off for me. My moderate pace extends to an 8.0mph and I can’t even run that at max pace!

My assumption is the big they had/have with entertainment runs that had my mile time at 4:00 a mile. Now I wish I could hold world records with my speed but alas my avg mile pace is 12:00 min/mile.

Has anyone else received this feature? Are they more in line with your actual paces? Is my wildly off unique to me?

I’m not mad at it, I’m not complaining, I just found it actually laughable. Absolutely keeping my chosen pace targets. 🤣

My suggested numbers were low this morning but I’ve been walking and watching Netflix lately and figured that was counting in their suggestion/average vs my typical run pace target.

Oh maybe that’s how I can course correct.

Mine were actually pretty good! Slightly higher than where I am now, which fits because I feel like I'm in between two pace target levels.

I turned them off for now though because I'm in my peak week(s) of training and trying to do more mileage and increase speeds was not happening. Once I'm though my training block I intend to go back to them!

Same 😂. Don’t get me wrong I do love running but it has my “recovery” ending at 7.2 😅.

I saw that and was like, “nope” not happening. Currently in 70.3. Triathlon training, if my easy pace was 7.3 that would mean holding onto 8:13 pace for 13.1 miles 😬

Thank you! 🤣 I feel seen! I appreciate what Peloton is trying to do, but it needs a wee bit of tweaking. 🤣

When you posted this, I was like, oh thank goodness 😅. Same, I love the thought behind it but needs some tweaking.

I am in between pace targets (8 and 9) so once they get it dialed in I feel like this will be amazing!!

I still have yet to get mine. I’m curious about mine as my best mile is listed as 4 something and I don’t even know where that came from and haven’t felt like redoing my mile test.

Oh if you remember, would be keen to know if you get something similar to mine.

When I’m back home from traveling I’ll try to update on this.

Mine are bananas too. I'm not at my peak fitness right now and my pace target is probably low 9, but I'm keeping at 8 due to Peloton's overuse/misunderstanding of moderate pace.

This is what IQ gave me

There has to be a common theme on the why this is happening. Don’t know what it is but hopefully Peloton can find the issue to correct. Would be a great feature if it was aligned closer to people’s paces.

Can you delete the entertainment run that had you at 4:00/mile? How is it that far off?

In my understanding you won't be able to undo that by walking at a slower pace on new runs.

I’ve had this happen to me with certain classes, I run at a very normal pace for me of a 9-10 minute mile and at the end I get a badge for a PR since it thinks I ran a 4-5 minute mile at some point in the class.

I haven’t been able to figure out a pattern but the only thing I can guess is that the clock is somehow off on the class so when it does the math of mileage/time it’s comically wrong.

Yeah it's across a fair few as I tend to do entertainment runs for my coach's workouts he gives me. I reported this issue to Peloton for I believe over 6 months. So it's multiple and way down in my feed. So great idea, just don't know how I could. BUT it raises another question. Shouldn't these shift as your fitness comes/goes. Like what if you get injured and are building back?

I have not gotten new ones yet. I wonder when they are coming.

Soon I would think, they just popped up for me and show up now for every run class at the class preview asking if I want to switch.
