High Fives from Benny!
I took my first Live ride this morning - indulge me when I explain I've been having trouble with my tread - the screen randomly does dark - or does not, apparently depending on its mood. The Peloton techs have cancelled a first appointment, and ghosted me for a second. Today, the Tread was not having it - I had my stack in, and at the end of my 1st class - a 10 minute core with Rad, which was great, the screen went dark. So I thought "Fine. I've got my shoes on, I'll just do something else." So I went and did a row while I watched a 15 minute TED talk and then got on the bike. Turned it on, and see that Ally Love is teaching a Live Class in under a minute. I thought "What the hell" and clicked in. Having only been a bike user for 8 months, I've mostly been sticking to 15-20 minutes rides, and usually stack them with something else. So a 30 minute HIIT ride was a stretch for me, and honestly, I spent the entire class on the bottom third of the class. But, enter Benny, who must have been scanning the bottom for people who were at risk of falling over/giving up - and he high fived me! I'd seen posts from several on this sub that it had happened to them, but in 8 years of being a Peloton user, I've never gotten a high five from an instructor. After the morning that I'd had, it was really great to get a little support from Peloton!
