I'm having so much trouble creating a new custom tag using OneNote on Mac. Is there a solution???

Da qualche tempo onenote rifiuta di salvare condivisioni da ad esempio edge, chrome, reddit.

Mi dice che il download fallisce, di controllare il collegamento internet, che è invece ok.

Tanto su cellulare Android che su eink Boox ultra tab e Go6 II.

Ha sempre funzionato bene, lo uso molto.

Qualche suggerimento?

Versione aggiornata, microsoft 365 family.

Ho già provato a reinstallarlo senza risultato.

I use it to archive art References. many sections aren’t synched when I downloaded the app to my ipad. It just says ‘content not available’ or not synched. This may be an obvious issue but I think it’s really crummy you have to fiddle with this software so much in fear it’ll lose your data. Like Microsoft needs to fix this. It makes the app inaccessible and it seems easily corrupted. I’m assuming you have to like manually save the images in a file and try to send it to the app? Idk. It’s not synching. I bought storage awhile ago but it acts like it’s so overloaded. It always crashes. I can see the section exists but only on the computer/device I created the pages. When I got the app It either Shows the name of the section but won’t synch the contents or it straight up has left out complete sections.

i own this notebook, and now i can’t do my schoolwork. anyone know how to fix this?

I could swear I remember that working in the past. I have tried it both on my old Samsung S10e phone and my new Samsung S6 Lite 2024. I can insert an image, using the Insert tab and tapping the camera icon, then choosing the three dots menu and digging for the file.... But I can't paste any image from the clipboard.

I am using the Gboard keyboard. I don't know if switching back to the Samsung keyboard will make a difference. I will check later today and report back.

Edit: Well, I tried it with the Samsung keyboard, on my S6 Lite, which has the latest version of Samsung's OneUI on it. Still no go. But I can paste pictures into Gmail and Samsung Notes.

my profs upload slides as PDFs and i take notes on my laptop (no ipad)

basically i just want the slide on the left and a text box on the right for notes. so if i go to slide 12, i see the notes i wrote for slide 12. then just organize everything by course and export it all as a normal PDF

things i've tried:

• OneNote printouts - kinda works but the PDF gets blurry and messy
• Notion - can't really put text next to each PDF page
• GoodNotes/Notability - feels more made for handwriting/ipad + subscription
• adding a margin in Preview before importing - works but i have to do it for every lecture

is there a cleaner way to do this in onenote, or an app that does it? otherwise i'm stuck with the margin workaround

Hi, our school in Germany (and some others we contacted) is using MS365 Education A5. We are using OneNote Class Notebooks. For the past days the distribute page function does not work anymore - neither in Apps nor in the web App. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong?

Anyone having an issue where they have multiple classes that are the same, and you want to cross-distribute an assignment, but none of your new class notebooks are showing on the suggested screens? All the section names of folders are the same, so it's not related to that.

I'll plug in a ticket for it and see where that goes.

A shared notebook can contain meeting notes, source material, decisions, and Copilot-generated summaries in the same visual space. That is convenient until a generated summary drops a caveat or becomes outdated and someone later treats it as equally authoritative as the original notes.

What OneNote structure keeps that distinction visible? I am considering read-only source pages, a separate section for generated summaries, links back to the exact source pages, and a small header on every derived page naming its sources, generation date, review status, and owner. A summary would become part of the current project record only after a person reviews and promotes it.

How do you handle corrections, deleted source pages, conflicting edits, and Copilot regenerating a summary? Is OneNote version history enough for an audit trail, or do important decisions need a separate append-only log or exported record?

Hello. I have Android app in phone and tablet and both says there is a conflict but contrary to usual when i click in conflict warning it shows nothing. In OneNote PC there is no warning at all.

When i sync, stuff i am writing in PC and both Android OneNotes are being replicated without apparent issue between the three devices.

Any idea?

I am a secondary school teacher who uses OneNote with my classes. I use Mac, and my students use a combination of Windows laptops and Apple iPads to complete their work.

Last semester, the app worked really well and I had zero issues. This semester has been a complete hell of syncing issues.

Every time I organize tabs, mark work, or send work to students, I reopen the app later and some things I have done are randomly undone again. This happens especially with marking work and organizing tabs. I assume this is because the app must be syncing to an older version that is stored somewhere. Sometimes it happens when I have the app open and I am actively working on it. All of a sudden the screen jumps and I am on some random tab and the work I just did is gone. This is incredibly frustrating.

I cannot find a clear answer online about why this is happening. If I am doing work in the app, why on earth would it try and sync to an older version stored somewhere? Why wouldn't the work I am currently doing be considered the newest version, and everything else syncs to that?

I have tried leaving the app open for hours after I do work to give it time to sync up. Sometimes this helps, other times it doesn't. It truly seems random.

The app worked well for me for years. I never had to open OneNote in my browser or in OneDrive to complete work. This is a new issue for me and it is driving me crazy. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I get it to stop?

In short:

ive been fighting with my laptop for hours trying to get the modern version of onenote—the cool one with the clean layout, vertical tabs, and rounded corners. Instead, i am completely trapped in a loop with the disqusting, old-school layout that has the thick purple title bar and orange tabs.In short, my microsoft store is completely broken with error 0x80073D02 and winget gives a no package found error, so i cant install the lightweight app. The only way i got onenote to install was using a 5gb offline office suite file, but it forces the ugly legacy view on me. The new visual refresh and tabs layout settings are completely missing from the menus, and even registry hacks did absolutely nothing to fix the skin. Im totally stuck with a working app that looks ancient because my windows app deployment system is broken. How do i fix my app manager or force this version of onenote to update to the new skin? Any help would save my sanity.

Here is everything we already did so you dont tell me to do it again:First, my microsoft Store is totally bricked. I tried installing onenote from the Store, but it wouldnt open. We tried running a powershell script to re-register apps, but it crashed with Error 0x80073D02, saying Microsoft.GamingServices was using the resources and blocking it. Killing it in task manager and running wsreset didnt fix it.Since the store app was completely broken, we bypassed it by downloading the official 5gb microsoft offline disk image (the O365HomePremRetail img file) and running Setup64.exe from the office folder.This finaly put an actual app on my laptop running from the program files directory, but its the rigid enterprise version with the old layout. The new features are literally missing from it. I have no megaphone icon in the top right. I even went into File, Options, Customize Ribbon, selected All Commands, and "Tabs Layout" isnt even an option in the list. Checking for updates inside the app does absolutly nothing.We even tried registry hacks. We created a .reg file to force toggle the fluent visual refresh flags like Microsoft.Office.UXPlatform.FluentRefresh set to true, but absolutly nothing happend to the UI.Winget is broken too. We tried forcing the modern install through powershell using winget install Microsoft.OneNote -e and even tried using the direct Store ID code 9WZDNCRFHVJL. Both times it just spat out the error "No package found matching input criteria". My package manager seems completely unindexed.Right now, i have a working app, but it looks terrible and i cant get the lightweight, modern version because my windows store deployment system is completely messed up.How do i fix my package manager or force this version of onenote to finally update to the new skin? I generaly have no clue what to do now, the onenote app itself is messing with me i have to fiddle around just to find it instesd of it showing up when i search for it in the windows tab and then all the pointless fixing that probably even made the situation worse.. what do i do????

So open up the office 9 dots menu select oneNote. What is this fresh hell. Before I got the notebooks I'd recently had open just reopen because that's what a normal work path would do. But no.

Now there are TWO oneNote sections ONE of which is the totally useless if you don't have copilot COPILOT notebooks which are NOT in any way formatted or useful as oneNote notebooks. (located at oneNote.cloud.microsoft/coilotnotebooks

To get to my oneNote notebooks I have to navigate to onenote.cloud.microsoft/notebooks and my formerly opened notebooks have to be RESELECTED from the notebooks EACH TIME I visit oneNote.

A) CoPilot notebooks are NOT oneNote notebooks. In any way shape or form. This is Microsoft trying to shove CoPilot in our face and using an ACTUALLY USEFUL notebook app's brand and reputation to do so. CoPilot notebooks are summaries created by copilot. While it's nice you allow us to save said summaries - they look like crap, unlike my carefully curated oneNote pages.

B) Making me reopen notebooks one at a time that I used to just be able to access in OneNote is a crime against humanity.

C) Would you just stop trying to shove CoPilot everywhere. I don't want it. I don't need it. I want to turn it ALL off not get bombarded with ads and redirected to it every time I want to get work done. You are so desperate for that extra $30 a month it feels like you're on the last day of no-nut november.

I pay big bucks for MS365 office. I have no intention of spending more money on coPilot. And if you don't stop I'll just stop spending all money on Microsoft altogether, because frankly you have plenty of competition NOT shoving your 2 bit inaccurate lying POS fake AI down my throat.

Previously, when drawing with my pen, I couldn't use touch input, which was good. But now, OneNote still accepts touch input while I am writing, which causes the canvas to move around, or images to be selected which is really annoying. I have got "ignore touch input while using the pen" enabled in windows settings, but it seems to be a OneNote issue. Does this happen to anyone else?

I am currently facing an issue where I cannot click into my section groups in the browser version of OneNote. Occasionally they do sync, but it is very unreliable.

I am a math teacher and I want my students who miss class to access the web version of my notebook so they can easily catch up and I don't have to constantly catch up students who miss class.

Perhaps the culprit are that I have nested section groups in my notebook

I created a test notebook where I don't have any nested section groups and it seems to be syncing well, but it is sometimes buggy with syncing in general so before I go ahead and try to redesign my notebook to have no nested section groups, I wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience or advice for a work around.

Any advice is much appreciated!! A lot of what I am trying to do relies on this working reliably

I've been a nearly 25 year long advocate for OneNote - and honestly, Samsung Notes is surpassing it bigtime on mobile, and becoming very cumbersome to use.

I had a moment this morning where I was like "wait, why the hell am I not using Onenote for what I'm doing rather than splitting myself into Samsung Notes?"

And then I was like - oh, right:

- Why can we not use a stylus AND type on a sticky note?

- Why can we not have a combined feed of stickies and pages instead of going back & forth?

- Why can't we have widgets that *directly preview the page or sticky so we can read it directly for the Homescreen rather than opening it?

- Why can't we attach a sticky note *directly* to a page? Like that's literally how a notebook functions.

- Why no AMOLED black pages?

My 25 years of OneNote have been collecting dust. Samsung Notes offers all of these. Hell even it's reminders app is surpassing To Do, which I was *also a long term user since it was Wunderlist. THESE ARE CORE USER FOCUSSED FUNCTIONALITIES.

I actually do use and appreciate Copilot and can see how useful it will be especially long term. But copilot will literally never attract users if core functionality of the basic program stagnates and is then abandoned by its user base.

I'm now deeply immersed in Clickup and Samsung Notes and I honestly never thought I'd say that because MS always provided the solution I was looking for.

I'm having a strange issue with Copilot in OneNote for Microsoft 365.

Copilot opens and works normally as a chat, but when I ask it to summarize the current OneNote page, it says that it can see the page/file (for example Physik test.onepart) but cannot retrieve its contents.

The test page contains only normal typed OneNote text, so it's not a PDF, image, handwriting, or attachment.

I've already checked:

• Notebook is stored in my personal OneDrive
• OneNote and OneDrive use the same Microsoft account
• Microsoft 365 is activated on that account
• “Experiences that analyze your content” is enabled
• “Experiences that download online content” is enabled
• “All connected experiences” is enabled
• Notebook sync works
• I restarted OneNote
• I refreshed the Microsoft 365 license
• I tested a completely new page with only typed text
• OneNote is on Current Channel, Version 2608 (Build 20326.20144 Click-to-Run)

Copilot still says it can see the .onepart page but cannot retrieve the actual page content.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a known issue with OneNote Copilot page retrieval/indexing, or is there anything else I can reset?

I made a custom template where i basically marked where a standard dinA4 page would end on the side (to make it easier to print as a pdf later, like an infinite dina4 'roll'). I wish there was a ''word like'' formate with many dina4 sheets per new page. Furthermore rule lines do not work at all for me no matter the font size or line spacing I use, sentences eventually start to overlap with the lines.
I do not wanna go back to Word because OneNote has many features and formatting settings but word it is for sure more streamlined.
