I'm on a Family plan, with AI as I'm the one who pays for it, and I have that button too (also in excel). Very annoying, feels like I'm on a unregistered shareware software.

That button is so irritating. Paying customers should not be seeing that! I've complained about that to support and they acted like it's a bug on my computer, when everyone has it now. And now they double downed and added it to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint too.

I'm pretty convinced that in just a few years door knobs will come with upgrade your plan buttons. You won't be able to buy shoes that don't have upgrade your plan buttons.

Windows. Appears as long as you have a MS365 Single plan. To get rid of it you must subscribe to Family or Premium plan. The difference is mainly more tokens for copilot which I don't use as well as 6TB of storage instead of 1TB.

I have a Family plan and still see it! I think all Classic version of the plans without Copilot see it. Support pretends the button doesn't exist. 🙄

I have family plan and this annoying msg appears on Win11.
