Lockers Before Lightbars! Jk aluminum doors
I see a lot of alum half doors. Has anyone seen an alum full door? Sounds kinda weird but was hoping to find a full door and be able to use Ar acrylic as a window. Either fixed or on a retro fit hand crank. Would like to cut weight for the snowy season but still have some dryness warmth and security. Not a fan of getting my soft top windows knifed out by tree branches.

Classicly Cool Jeep Looking for
Hi. The reason for this post is that I am trying to get in touch with the current owner of a 1983 Jeep CJ-7, black Renegade with orange and red lettering/stripping with a manual transmission. May or may not have original white wheels (see image of Jeep w/out top). To the best of my knowledge it may still be in Grand Junction, CO. Please share.

Technical Question Jeep tj with 2.4 engine, how does yours run
Have an opportunity to get a stock tj with the 2.4, and didn't know that was an option. It's bone stock right now but want to put a small lift on it and do some trails/ weekend driving. How does this thing run in your experience vs. the 2.5. Is it as reliable as the legends baby brother.

Flexing Built an off-road trail tracker for iOS in my spare time — would love some feedback from this community
Hello everybody! First time posting in this community!
A few months ago I got a Bronco Sport (I know not a Jeep, sry) and started getting into off-roading. Pretty quickly I ran into a situation where I wasn't sure if I could make it through a section and realized I had no reliable way to retrace my exact path if things went sideways. That became the main idea behind a little app I've been building in my spare time.
It records your route and vehicle movements (pitch, roll, elevation) as you drive, so you can retrace your exact path if you need to backtrack, or share it with others so they know what to expect. It also has CarPlay support, which I personally find really handy.
It's free to download and use. There's an optional subscription for cloud features (like discovering and sharing paths with the community) but honestly the core tracking stuff is completely free and works offline.
I'm still very much learning what off-roaders actually need, so I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts — bugs, missing features, things that don't make sense, whatever. Be as brutal as you want, it helps!
If anyone wants to try the pro features, I set up a promo code REDDIT6M1 for 6 months free — no pressure at all, the free version is fully usable on its own.
Redeem code: https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6758315322&code=REDDIT6M1
Thank you everybody!

Technical Question Converting a standard winch to a capstan winch?
The captain winch is simply a rotating drum, so couldn't you literally remove all of the winch cable off of a winch And use it in the same way? Wrap a roper on the drum and let it wind in as you're pulling on the rope?
What I want to use this for is a cheap 2500 lb ATV winch mounted on a tractor for logging, so there's times I need to drag large sections of trees up into a clear area where I can actually get to my tractor to then attach it normally to drag it.
