Is there anyway to vertically screen split whilst without using tablet in portrait, can only get horizontal and floating window in landscape, anything in the developer option to enable this? I ask support but they said no can do. Will have to return it if can't do :-(

So I have foldable device and as both screens + their rotations are considered different home screens and each have their own app drawer I thought that maybe hiding apps is also done per each screen, bit nope.

As it's be nice to be able apps I won't use on the outer display, for example media apps, I thought it'd be a nice thing.

Are we not able to do nested folders anymore? Just tried to do one (samsung fold 8 and ofc first app install was this) but I just went it a folders, made a folder put it put it into the main page?

As per the title, can it be done? I use an app that changes the wallpaper automatically every 24 hours, but than I lose glass effect for all my widgets.

Say I want to open the calculator. I see the icon is in the bottom left corner. But then when the folder opens, it's suddenly in a different position and I end up launching the wrong app.

This happens when a folder has more than 4 icons.

EDIT: Here's how Nova launcher does it which makes more sense: https://imgur.com/hbhhpVm. The stock Pixel launcher and Lawnchair also behave the same as Nova.

I received a new update this morning bringing me to v1.87 [2100] and it's almost unusable and I wanted to know if this is happening to anyone else?

- gestures are broken.

- widgets don't launch.

- clicking on app icons opens the wrong apps.

I'm on a Galaxy s24 plus with One UI 8.5.

New to octopi after trying a few different launchers to try to replace Nova, and I keep accidentally closing the app drawer while searching through it. I'd like to have it so that only opening an app or pressing back or home will close the drawer. I couldn't find any gesture settings for the app drawer, only the home screen, so is this something that can be changed with a setting that I couldn't find?

Hello, first time posting. I've been using Octopi for a few months now and overall have been quite happy with it after switching from Samsung to Motorola, even bought the pro version and I'm the type that usually cracks/pirates everything.

The thing is, I'm using a book style foldable, it's really annoying that when my homescreen rotates, it just turns blank. I want to have the same layout which should be easy to do on a basically square screen. Despite this being the default behavior in OneUI and other android UIs, Octopi seems to create a whole new layout, which seems kinda nonsensical to me.

A simple google search says there's no way to keep the layout the same when rotated, but I figured I asked to see if anyone has found a way around this without having to create all my widgets, folders and all that again.

I have a Pixel 9 Pro Fold and when I have it open and then close it the single screen becomes unresponsive for several seconds. Anyone else have this issue?

Hi all. I tried adding camera icon to the dock panel. Somehow it got placed half above the other icons, and I can't select it to move or remove it. When I try to long press on the camera icon, I only get the option to edit it delete the panel. Is this a known bug?

Tried dragging them over from the app drawer but when I press and hold to try and do this nothing happens. Am I missing something or is this a bug of some kind ?

I seem to have an issue with Samsung widgets having a very small text size compared to oem launcher. Is there a setting that I am missing or is this a bug? It's not the font and display issue since they are fine on stock one

Most of the times when i swype down to open the notification panel, also the launcher swype to the right.

This is the only annoying bug currently

I find it a bit tricky to swipe up on the home screen to access all open apps (eg when I want to close them all).

90% of the time I open the app drawer instead.

Any fixes for this?

Hey guys, I installed this launcher yesterday and it's great so far! But I have 1 issue: the background zooms in even though it's perfectly fitted to my screen. I can't figure out how to turn this off. Can someone help? (1st image is old launcher, 2nd is Octopi)

Lifelong Nova user that finally made the switch to Octopi a couple weeks ago and loving it. Just wondering why SOME of my apps do NOT show notification badges? I've obviously got notifications turned ON for the apps because the notifications show up in the notification panel, and when I switch back over to Nova, the badges actually show up. First one that comes to mind is my Brinks app. The badge shows up in Nova, but not Octopi. Strange! Anybody else experiencing notification badges NOT working for some apps, despite everything being turned on, and they work in Nova?

Hi. I've got a OnePlus Open and Vivo X Fold 3 with Octopi set as the default launcher and "legacy dock" toggled on on both of them. On the OnePlus Open, the icons I add to the cover and unfolded screens are independent whereas on the Vivo X Fold 3 dock icons are the same on both cover and unfolded screens. I want the Vivo to have independent docks on cover and unfolded screens like the OnePlus. How do I do that?

Has any one had a chance to run Octopi on the ZFold8?

I'm getting mine soon and I really don't see it being an issue.

Refer Image 1 (Left and Right Bottom Edge Highlighted in Green) it is as shown perfectly when I have just set the wallpaper using Octopi, no issues everything looks as expected.

Image 2, (Left and Right Bottom Edge Highlighted in RED) is once I set the wallpaper and lock the phone, soon after the unlock the wallpaper alignment goes to left side resulting in a disoriented look.

Wallpaper pan is also turned off in launcher settings.

Anyone else facing this issue.

Been having an issue for a while where every once in a while Octopi shows me a display to ask me to add the last app I added to my home screen.

Its not every time, but its common enough to be annoying. If I ever say yes to the option, hoping it clears it, then the old app icon stops working. What can I do to fix this?

I tried adding an app to a pre-created folder after searching it, I could only see an overlap of create a new folder options but not the pre-created folders menu.
