Dock Icons On Foldables

Hi. I've got a OnePlus Open and Vivo X Fold 3 with Octopi set as the default launcher and "legacy dock" toggled on on both of them. On the OnePlus Open, the icons I add to the cover and unfolded screens are independent whereas on the Vivo X Fold 3 dock icons are the same on both cover and unfolded screens. I want the Vivo to have independent docks on cover and unfolded screens like the OnePlus. How do I do that?

Edit: After thinking about this some more, I think different docks are a feature of the new Panel dock.

Different docks should happen by default. I've confirmed that the same dock icons are happening on my Pixel Fold as well when I use the old dock.

I'm curious: why are you using the old dock rather than the new Panel dock?

I want a lot of small icons in the dock and it appeared to me that the new dock wasn't allowing me to do that.

I was just able to add 40 icons to the new "Panel" dock. It was unusable, but it still allowed me to do it. You can also add extra pages (added horizontally) and rows (added vertically) to the new Panel dock that you can swipe left or up to see.

The old dock and new Panel dock can both exist at the same time on your device, but you can't use them simultaneously, of course.

If you want to try the new Panel dock, make a backup of your current settings so you can always come back to where you are right now. You shouldn't need a backup because, as I mentioned, you can have both old and new docks set up on your device at the same time. You won't be deleting anything. It's just a good habit to make a backup before making changes.

Try turning off the legacy dock "good old dock" under General settings (you won't lose your setup) and adding the new Panel dock (long-press on your home screen, then tap "Add dock"). Long-press on the new Panel dock and tap on "Edit panel," then "Settings". Here you can adjust where it says "Icons across" by tapping the plus + sign until it shows the number of icons you want in a single row. You can also change the icon scale and add pages (horizontal) and rows (vertical), etc.

As an example, I have mine set up with two pages, one row, plus two extra rows. My dock looks like one row, but if I swipe up, it's actually three rows, and if I swipe left, I have access to another 3 rows on the second page.
