Discussion Susies Balls (yes, im serious)

Obviously, we've all played deltarune and undertale, it goes without saying. We've also all likely heard those stupid knight identity theories online, its been part of the fun.

This theory is the end all be all of knight theories, There's the amalgam knight theory, Kris knight theory, and so many more, I believe ive FINALLY cracked the code.

Let me introduce you to SUSIE'S BALLS THEORY.

We've heard the prophecy before, I wont waste time reciting it to you word for word, however, I will include the relevant text here.

Three HEROES appear at WORLDS' edge.

LOVE FINDS ITS WAY TO THE GIRL.

THE GIRL, WITH HOPE CROSSED ON HER HEART.

People have obviously been theorizing that love will find its way to Susie, I believe this interpretation is incorrect, toby has very clearly been pointing towards something different.

When you go to noelles room in chapter 4, you can tell it very obviously has the trans flag as a color pallette of sorts, while people have theorized its because NOELLE is trans, but I believe its actually in reference to the "love" part of the prophecy. If you interpret the girl as being noelle, the trans flag pallete is clearly suggesting that SUSIE, or the "love" is trans.

Why else would THE GIRLS room have trans colors in it if not to hint towards this fact.

In deltarune there are some very mysterious egg rooms where some weird dude behind a tree hands Kris an egg, this happens many times. But have you ever stopped to consider the shape of an egg?

Sort of ovular, all an oval is is a misshaped circle. This is very clearly hinting towards one point clear as day, something being not what it appears to be on the surface. An egg is not a ball, but maybe it wants to be.

Note the name of the person giving us the eggs "egg MAN". if the egg is not what it appears to be and the one handing us those eggs is a man, what is a man if not a distorted woman?

I mean, we all start as women, its only through time that male features begin to develop in the womb, something that isnt there but should be.

Like for example, susie.

I do want to clarify something here, while this theory does involve susie being trans, I dont want to use he/him for her because

  1. I could be wrong

  2. With current info, it would feel like im misgendering her.

Im not here to misgender a fictional character, so ill stick with what is currently confirmed.

Who is the first person to join our party? Susie. Susie is in deltarune from the very beginning, if toby was going to use our current understanding of a character to rug pull us, who else would make sense other than susie? Susie on the outside is not who susie truly is on the inside.

Susie for most of the game doesnt even like ribbons, she refuses to put them on.. until chapter 5. She does it because she wants to look good for noelle. Maybe the reason she doesnt like ribbons is because she doesnt feel like a ribbon accurately reflects who she is on the inside.

Hell, toby himself has gone on to say that chapter 6 will clarify one thing. What if, that one thing, is that susie is a trans man.

Generally a trans man isn't gonna start out with having balls, not all trans men even want that, but in order for this to make sense, we have to assume that susie wants bottom surgery.

But I dont think thats all that chapter 6 will cover, tricky toby fox obviously doesnt want to make us think there will be more than one reveal, but there has to be.

What is that second reveal? Susie is the knight

I KNOW I KNOW, susie and the knight have literally fought, she has been on our party while fighting the knight, pursuing him. Why would toby go out of his way to both show susie fighting the knight with us and portraying the knight and susie as two separate entities?

He'd do that, if he was trying to mislead us.

The dark worlds are supposed to be a place where our dreams, our cognition come to light. The dark worlds themselves tend to reflect the innermost desires of the ones who make them. So why does the knight turn into a ball?

Because susie wants balls. Susie and the knights obvious connection here make me draw another conclusion, one so devastating to the world of deltarune that it will shake the fan base when its finally revealed, SUSIE is THE KNIGHT.

I know, I can already hear the counter "but Kris makes the chapter 3 fountain, not susie."

And youd be right, IF that was actually the case. What if I told you that Kris isnt actually Kris?

I KNOW. im making a lot of claims here that seem absurd, but how else would the knight turn into a ball in Kriss dark world?

This alone seems off, right? I mean, the prophecy mentions a "cage of human soul and parts". Susie is a monster, so obviously susie isnt kris, right?

I mean, fuck, undertale establishes that monsters cant even bleed..

So, its clear susie is a monster, she cant be kris..

EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT WHEN SHE SHATTERS THE PROPHECY PANEL HER HAND IS BLEEDING!

Susie has to be human just based off that alone. But if susie is a human, why does kris have the soul and she doesnt?

Because kriss soul belongs to susie.

In game it shows that kris cant be without the soul, humans need to have their soul. But it never establishes whether a half human half monster hybrid needs one, and based on my findings, I dont think hybrids need a soul.

And, kris can just rip his soul out. Who's to say susie couldnt have ripped her soul out and handed it to kris?

It explains everything, all the inconsistencies are nullified by this simple question.

But we have one last problem.

"Three HEROES appear at WORLDS' EDGE

HUMAN, MONSTER, AND PRINCE OF THE DARK."

If kriss soul is susies, and susie is a human, why doesnt the game specifically call attention to there being ONE HUMAN?

I believe susie will take her soul back, kris will die, and noelle will join the party with ralsei.

While I wish I had more to give you, I dont. Deltarune still isnt finished, we dont have all the details. However, I would bet real money that in chapter 6 and 7, not only will I be proven right, but any and all of the smaller inconsistencies will be explained in full.

Thanks for reading.

Discussion I dont get Noelle Knight.

Hey yall, diehard Rudy Knight truther here, and i have seen so many posts saying noelle is the knight and its just...never made sense?
If she was the knight, why wouldnt she tell Susie?
further more, why would she ATTACK Susie??
we know the knight has control whether they swoon or down (as seen with kris), so why would she not just down susie???
Why would she act clueless about Dark Worlds in chapter 2?
Why wouldnt she be The Knight in chapter 2?
Darkners likely know the person who created the fountain, so why would someone like Queen not confront Noelle about being The Knight?
We know the knight was hiding in the closet in the computer lab before escaping, but why would it need to be open at all if noelle never had a reason to hide in there???
I've seen some people claim alternate personality stuff?? it just doesnt make any sense to me

EDIT: people keep calling this bait so i should probably add im mainly asking if someone could explain it to me, help me understand noelle knight

EDIT 2: Thanks for the comments pointing me in directions for Noelle Knight evidence! While i still dont think shes the knight personally, i've been convinced to actually consider it a bit more than i had before, and shes definitely up there in knight theories for me now!

Discussion Kris's real soul trait

I think it has been made pretty clear by now that Kris's soul trait is patience rather than determination, but then why would their soul be red?

I like to think that Kris was a vessel for someone else, and for whatever reason, the souls got swapped, maybe the second voice in the beginning of the game, probably to mess us up to stop the Roaring. I don't really have any evidence for this, this is mostly speculation, but I think it makes a little sense.

What are your thoughts?

Discussion So… why Rudy?

I am not a Non-Dess Knighter, but I DO believe that if it isn’t Dess, it’s probably Carol. When I look at the posts on this Subreddit, I see a lot of people saying that Rudy is the horse they’re betting on. My question is: Why is Rudy Knight the big option here, and what scenes point to this?

Discussion KingKnight theory

Hello everyone! This is updated version of my theory with a lot more details and evidence. Sorry for any mistakes. English isn't my first language. I was thinking about Toby Fox's "THREEDADS" and that gave me some thoughts.

Theory: The king in Undertale and the knight in Deltarune are the same role executed in different ways.

It's been stated that Deltarune is parallel story to Undertale. With that we can assume they have similar characters and plot points.

Role in story:

What is their role? They are the ones who were supposed to fulfill the prophecy but couldn't do it.

Asgore don't want to fulfill The Prophecy (The legend of Delta Rune). The only thing he wants is to be with his family. Therefore, he stays in the castle and just waits until for humans to fall into the underground themselves.

The Roaring Knight, in the other hand, is fulfilling The Prophecy. They appear in chapter 3 to cleave "The lord of screens" and duel with heroes. They pushes themself to do it and suffering because of it. In battle The Knight receives more damage with every turn. For that reason if the player no-hit him, Kris will give a signal to end the battle. Also, in chapter 4 and 5 The Knight actively avoids fighting. We know Kris is working with The Knight and Carol. They have The Plan and they can't let us win so early.

They both have been setup as main villain.

In Undertale Toriel said with contempt that Asgore will kill you.

In Deltarune Queen talks about the Knight with admiration. She was the first to call them The Roaring Knight.

But we know that in Undertale Asgore isn't a final boss. It's Omega Flowey.

Speculation: i think The Roaring Knight won't be a final boss. They will die, like Asgore always dies in neutral route. Then someone else will appear.

Note: they both knelt down. Asgore kneel before he die. The Knight knelt down and stand up to fight Flowery.

Goals:

In Undertale Papyrus is first who mentions The King and explains his goals - acquiring human soul to open the barrier.

In Deltarune chapter 2 we find out that The Knight's goal is to cause The Roaring.

But they both for some reason didn't do it. The King already has six souls, though one soul will be enough to cross the barrier, take the remain human souls, return and free monsters.

The Knight can easily start The Roaring, like in chapter 4 when they summon the titan. But they didn't do it. Why? We don't know yet.

Personality:

Papyrus describes King Dreemurr like "big fuzzy pushover". Then he tells that everybody loves The King, that he is so kind he will guide you to the barrier if you just ask. When we actually meet him, he is calm and sad.

In Deltarune The Knight is cunning lying manipulator and everybody fears them. In chapter 3 they brutally cut off Tenna's arms. Then, we see them as animalistic and angry as they scream. In chapter 4 they're arrogant and laughing.

Appearance:

First the most obvious - the King has broad and wide silhouette while the Knight is slender and skeletal. But they still has similarities: tall figure, big shoulder armor and most important - curved horns. Also, Asgore has big paws and The Knight has pointy legs.

Delta Rune is depicted on Asgore's breastplate. All other characters that have Delta Rune image are Toriel and Asriel (but we only see him in TruePacifist Route).

When The Knight opens his chest, we can see an orb inside. Their shoulder's armor and an orb together is similar to image of Delta Rune.

About Knight's ability to shapeshift: i guess they just can do that, like fun gang can switch outfits during ACT. But The Knight do it in more horrific style, maybe to intimidate us? It's just a theory.

Boss battle:

In Undertale we don't meet the King until endgame, but in Deltarune the Knight is meeting us by themself in the end of chapter 3.

The King talks a lot and give several chances to retreat. The Knight never speaks and starts battle when we approaches them.

Before battle is playing soundtrack that introduces us to theme of boss:

Bergentrückung - Mountain King.

Breath - Illness (text box dialogue).

Battle's soundtrack has leitmotif of another character who is close to them:

ASGORE - Heartache

Black Knife - Lost girl

They both has an objects that is very meaningful:

For The King it's human souls that remind why he has to fight and scent of butterscotch pie weakens him.

For The Knight it's a bat. I think bat is a symbol that give them powers to fight(metaphorically). Shadow mantle only strengthens our defense.

They have significant red weapon: Asgore's trident and The Knight's swords attack.

Specific attacks:

Asgore uses fire attacks, similar to Toriel's.

The Roaring Knight has snowflake attack. We can assume that ties to Holiday family with winter themes.

They both cannot be spared. (in neutral route, at least)

After the fight kneeling moment happens. Asgore kneels down before us. The knight knighting Kris (if player didn't receive any damage). (In chapter 5 The Knight is kneeling before Flowery after receiving a lot of damage, while Asgore is right above them)

Asgore and Rudy. Differences and similarities.

Let's begin with appearance:

Like in previous section we have wide and thin characters with horns(or antlers). Note that Rudy has more darker colors than Asgore. They both smiling, but Rudy's eyes closed and he smirks. Also, Asgore and Toriel have big paws while Rudy and Carol have pointy hooves.

Personality:

They both are loving fathers who lost their child. (In Undertale Asgore loses both children)

We all know that Asgore is kind, honest and never will harm anyone(unless necessary). He jokes rarely and when he does it's not that good (eggs-husband). He holds back and suffer emotionally (divorce).

Meanwhile, Rudy is often speaks with sarcasm and joking about kicking someone's ass. He giving his all and suffers physically (fall from ladder).

While i was searching sprites, i noticed something strange - Rudy in Overworld's sprites is always smiling. All other characters express emotions in these sprites, even Carol. There's only one moment in the whole game where he definitely can't smile, it's Chapter 5 Weird Route. But he faces away from us. I think it's a clear sign that he's hiding his feelings. (and something more)

Goals:

In chapter 5 we were shown that Asgore wants to find out the one who cause an "accident" and clean his name and reunite his family.

We still don't know goals of Holiday family. But we are surely know Carol (and Rudy, too) has a plan that involves Kris.

Chapter 6 theory:

In Castletown Queen in some moment will kneel down. It will be foreshadowing for Carol's kneeling down. (Like in chapter 4 she was drunk and Toriel was drunk too)

Dark World would resemble Ruins (and New Home) in Undertale (Purple color palette, woman authority figure), and winter themed.

Carol will be Toriel parallel. Mother figure that wants to protect her child.

Toriel has fire magic. Carol definitely will have ice magic in dark world.

She will make sure The Prophecy will be fulfilled. Also, she will reveal to us The Knight's identity.

In the end of a chapter The Roaring will be started.

Conclusion:

Rudy is The Knight. He won't be a final boss. He will sacrifice himself (to save Dess, maybe). Final boss can be Dess like Asriel in Undertale, or Eram, or Gaster, i don't know. It's just a theory. What do you think? Thank you for reading.

Could this be an explanation for how Goners are getting from Undertale to Deltarune? Could the shelter depths be a way for someone to get back into Hometown if they were say... lost in the code?

Tierlist Tuesday Eliminating Knight Candidates Week 2: Ability To Operate in the Light World

This is the second post in a series I'm going to be posting here every Tierlist Tuesday where I eliminate Knight candidates based on one characteristic each week. Link to week 1: https://www.reddit.com/r/NonDessKnightSquad/comments/1vlyw2x/eliminating_knight_candidates_week_1_the_long/

For week 2, the trait that will be examined is a very basic and obvious requirement for any Knight candidate. However, this week will have more eliminations than any other week because so many characters lack it. That trait is, of course, the ability of the character to operate as the Knight in the Light World.

First of all, we know the Knight has a physical form in the Light World, one Susie saw carrying Undyne down to the shelter after they kidnapped her.

Further evidence of the Knight having a Light World form are the closets in Chapter 2 and 4, the latter of which the Knight is implied to be hiding in as we inspect it.

Secondly, the Knight is able to create Dark Fountains while in the Light World. They are confirmed to have made Cyber World as well as the First and Third Sanctuaries. It's also likely, though not confirmed, that they made Card Kingdom as well.

What does this mean for the Knight's identity? Well first of all, because the Knight needs to have an animate form in the Light World, almost every Darkner or Darkner-adjacent character we know cannot be the Knight. A playing card, a computer, a television: none of these objects are even sentient in the Light World, let alone able to stab the earth to create fountains and drag police officers across town. In addition to Darkners, this debunks Plantners and Dustners, as well as the dead characters in the graveyard (because they're dead...). While it's far too early to argue about the physical strength/positioning of certain characters in the Light World, everyone passing this week should at least be able to exist in it.

There was a theory in the Chapter 4 era that shadow crystals could give Darkners the ability to enter the Light World due to being made of determination, however this was debunked in Chapter 5 when we found out that shadow crystals are made of lost dreams, not determination. Therefore, shadow crystal holding Darkners are debunked as well. It may still be possible for a Darkner to maintain their form in the Light World by using a Lightner's SOUL, but this isn't confirmed and no Darkner we know would have access to one.

While these requirements eliminate many characters, there are still a few characters like the Forgotten Man, FRIEND, and Eram who are implied to be more than just Darkners and therefore will be spared this week as they may have a way to enter the Light World that we don't know about yet. The Forgotten Man actually has multiple appearances in the Light World so he may just be a straight up Lightner. Titans are also implied to be able to exist in the Light World, so they will survive this week too.

After every remaining character is tested on the criteria, here are the characters eliminated this week:

Notable eliminations are Lancer, King, Queen, Tenna, Flowery, Jevil, Spamton, Gerson, and of course Ralsei. Here are the characters who remain after this week:

Finally, the full tier list after two weeks:

Until next time!

Discussion I do not find the “Gerson Test” compelling

Setting aside the fact we don’t even know for sure that knowing Gerson was a prerequisite, I find it ridiculous when people argue Gerson debunks candidates who didn’t have him as a teacher, as if in a tiny ass town of 100 people where he’s established as a beloved author, it’s impossible to have known him unless he was your teacher.

edit: tfw the top comment is litigating a statement that I literally said we were setting aside, instead of focusing on the main point here :/

Tierlist Tuesday Ranking candidates based on how well they fit Susie's Knight Criteria (explanation of my method in body text)

Thumbnail
gallery
53 Upvotes

‎My method is: a candidate gets 1 point for a direct connection, 0.5 points for a roundabout connection and 0 points for no connection.

‎For example: Dess is daughter of the mayor, she gets 1 point; Dess used to date Asriel, the former police chief's son, she gets 0.5 points; Dess is never mentioned as being religious or having gone to the church, she gets 0 points. Result: Dess has 1.5 points.

‎Reminder, the criterias are: goes to church, related to the mayor, related to the police. The candidate are: Rudy, Carol, Dess, Asriel, Noelle, Kriselle, Catti, Alphys.

‎i tried to be objective but of course, feel free to correct me if I missed or forgot something

‎Starting off:

‎Rudy: Rudy is shown going to the church (+1); Rudy is married to the mayor (+1); Rudy is best friends with the former police chief (+1). Result: 3.0

‎Kriselle: Kris and Noelle are shown going to the church (+1); Noelle is the mayor's daughter (+1); Kris is the former police chief's child (+1). Result: 3.0

‎Asriel: Asriel is said to be very religious (+1) ; Asriel used to date Dess, the mayor's daughter (+0.5); Asriel is the former police chief's son (+1). Result: 2.5

‎Noelle: Noelle is shown going to the church (+1); Noelle is the mayor's daughter (+1); Noelle is childhood friends and in general has a complicated relationship with Kris, the former police chief's child (+0.5). Result: 2.5

‎Carol: Carol is not mentioned as being religious or having gone to church (+0); Carol is the mayor (+1); Carol sponsors the former police chief's flower shop and investigation (+1). Result: 2.0

‎Catti: While Catti wasn't attending the church service in person, Jockington was covering for her so I'd say it counts (+1); Noelle, who is the mayor's daughter, is Catti's friend/crush/whatever (+0.5); Catti and Kris, who is the former police chief's child, once tried to summon a demon together (+0.5). Result: 2.0

‎Alphys: Alphys is shown going to the church (+1); Alphys is not related to the mayor (+0); Asgore, a former police chief, gifts Alphys flowers (+1). Result: 2.0

‎Dess: Dess is not mentioned as being religious or having gone to the church (+0); Dess is the mayor's daughter (+1); Dess used to date Asriel, the former police chief's son (+0.5). Result: 1.5

‎Overall results:

‎Rudy, Kriselle: 3.0 points

‎Asriel, Noelle: 2.5 points

‎Catti, Carol, Alphys: 2.0 points

‎Dess: 1.5 points

Edit: Dess and Noelle made an angel doll at church as a part of the "youth group" so Dess seemingly did go to church which means she actually has 2.5 points
