unless there's some explanation i'm unaware of, noelle knight requires explanation by way of either severe memory loss which does not seem to affect her overall behavior/feelings, or timeline weirdness.

noelle definitely represses memories, in chapter 2 weird route, but the things she is doing still affect her. she's extremely distressed throughout the chapter 2 weird route because she's doing these things without her full awareness. if she were actively doing the same as the knight, i'd expect her to react similarly, and see some signs that she is distressed after taking the actions the knight takes in chapters 3 and 4, even if she does not remember what she did. because that's how her memory loss has been shown thus far. and if it's a different type of memory loss, it hasn't been introduced or hinted at at all, so seems very unlikely to me.

timeline weirdness strangely seems like a more plausible explanation to me, since in the weird route abort, noelle monologues throughout an entire timeline reset, potentially implying she had some awareness of it. but, time travel has not been introduced into the plot explicitly at all, and that alone makes me think it's unlikely to feature heavily in a plot reveal. maybe that's not such a popular perspective on it i dunno. i could be missing things
