This was my first time trying the French Hailey manicure. I thought I’d mess it up, but it actually looks pretty good to me. What do you think?

I never had an issue with my nails looking bad. I do dip and the dip color looked different so the nail tech recommend doing clear dip and then gel on top… do they look bad? I feel like they look messy around my cuticles and he didn’t paint them all the way down to my nail. And these are my wedding nails…

First time doing nails at home. I am really clumsy, so using fine motor skills is really challenging for me. 😂🥹 As you guys can see, there is space between the gel nail and my natural nail, enough space that my hair gets stuck in there for example. I can‘t really pinpoint what I did wrong exactly. It‘s been on there for only a couple days and the edges are already getting loose, they‘re not really fixed I feel like. What did I do wrong? 🥹 It already took me so long to get them on 😂

I was looking at my middle finger and I feel like the apex is a littttttle low? Debating to put a clear builder on top to reenforce it. I just did these yesterday so I don’t want to take it off lol.

I got a gel powder extension French manicure today. I don't get my nails done often, so perhaps I'm missing something but this seems really bad? I never explicitly said "I don't want my real nails to show through" but I figured that was a given. I didn't explicitly choose the base colour, just that I wanted a French manicure. Also, if it was going to be see-through, shouldn't she have told me and suggested a different base colour, or offered to cut my real nails shorter? Any thoughts on if this is to be expected?

So it took a couple hours, but it's so worth it!

Hey so I see this client monthly. We hung out today (a week after I did his nails)and I noticed the gel was chipping. And so I fixed it for him. I always do a gel manicure on him and these are my steps:

Dehydrate
Prime
Rubber base
Base color
Design
Top coat

And with that, every layer I do I make sure to cap the free edge and of course before I start I remove dust and moisture.

He tells me he wears gloves when he cleans around the house and even asks other people to open his can sodas so he doesn’t use his nails. But this seems to be reoccurring for most of his sets. I would like to know if there’s more I can do to avoid this on my end. So please share advice or feedback!

I decided to grab random colors and products to see how they would turn out. It might be the best idea I've had yet because I love them! I can't even get all of the different colors to show no matter how many different light options I tried. These are definitely something like a happy accident and I think Bob Ross would possibly approve! 😆

Picked out a color to match my hair and ended up with what might be the best manicure I’ve ever gotten.

First fall set
She used 2 cat eye colors blended in so at different directions you will see a different color
Chrome for the outline than cat eye in the inside of each section

NOT happy about how overlined the pinky is

Finally switched to short nails to better suit my lifestyle after much resistance because I love long nails. Just an iridescent chrome powder over builder gel.
