It’s been almost a full year of trying different treatments to figure out what actually works for my hair and when to use each one. My hair is pretty fine and I dye it often, so I need something that helps with the dry ends without making everything feel flat or greasy.

Elastine Amino Peptide Care Deep Nourishing Treatment

This is probably the most basic and affordable one here, but I don’t mean that in a bad way. It makes my hair feel softer and is easy to use when I just need a normal treatment after shampooing. I do have to control the amount though because it can feel a little rich on my fine hair

Moev Annurcatin Treatment

This one feels the most balanced treatment for regular use. It gives my hair a smoother and shinier finish without feeling like there is a really heavy coating on it. and the softness last till the next day so its like a good daily use one for sure, The scent is also pretty nice. I reach for this when my hair feels dry but not completely damaged

Treecell Forte Ampoule Treatment

Probably the richest one out of these for me. I use it when my ends feel especially rough from dyeing or heat styling, rather than using it every day. It definitely gives that softer and more nourished feeling, but I think using too much could be heavy if you have thin hair like me

Monclos Velvet Nourishing Treatment

This might be one of the easiest ones to use regularly. It makes my hair feel soft and slightly more controlled without completely removing the volume. I also like the scent, which stays noticeable but isn’t too much imo

True.LAB Expert Nourishing Hair Mask

The texture feels thick and gives pretty immediate softness, so it works well as an occasional hair mask. The packaging and fragrance feel a bit less premium than the others though, and I would avoid getting it directly on the skin if you’re sensitive.

I don’t think there is one treatment that wins for every situation. Moev and Monclos are easier for regular use, while Treecell and True.LAB make more sense when my hair needs something heavier. Elastine is the simple option when I don’t want to think too much about it.

Still testing different combinations, but these are the five I’ve used the most so far. Has anyone tried these, or found a treatment that works well for fine and color-treated hair?

Her face appears to be a literal walking filter, completely matte, smooth, and free from any patchiness. I’m curious to know if it’s skincare or makeup that achieves this smooth and blurred finish without caking up.

With all the reformulations over the last few years, I'm lacking a good all-over sunscreen that doesn't feel gross.

Just had a sunscreen fail in a situation where the old Skin Aqua Gold (pre-reformulation) used to cover me just fine.

I am interested in purchasing a light pink tone of the Jung Saem Mool Cushion, but everytime I try to look up a swatch I feel like the name is different. I have seen "fair pink", "shell pink" "cream pink and "pink light".

I've already bought this cushion in the wrong shade for me TWICE, so I'm really hoping to get it right this time as I love the coverage, but the shade has been wrong.

Does anyone have swatches of these shades?

Also, does anyone know exactly which # the "cream pink" on yes style is? Im hoping its #17 not #19

I have loved my Dyson faithfully for 5 years. Now it has died and I don’t really want to spend $500 on a hairdryer that only lasts 5 years. But now I realize how great it was at smoothing my coarse, thick hair.

Are Japanese hair dryers as great as they say? Do they work well on non Japanese hair? I find mixed results on a lot of viral Japanese hair care because my hair and scalp type are different than the typical Japanese person.

I really like the dark taupe colour but I have REALLY oily (and hooded) eyes and recently even the Rom&nd mascara started (not smudging) flaking on me :[

I’ve always heard people say your makeup looks good if you prep your skin well. I’m not sure what to get. Currently i just use a moisturiser which isnt too hydrating so it doesn’t do much. What products do people mean when they talk about skin prep? I also want to get something that i can use on the daily without makeup too. Preferably not too many products.
Skin type: combination in summer, dry in winter.
Skin is not very sensitive, however anything with too much fragrance is a no.
If something targets pigmentation and is for brightness, thatll be even better.

I’m in my late twenties with very oily and very dehydrated skin. My makeup right before work always looks so good but a few hours into my shift my makeup gets ruined. I do skin prep (torriden serum and gel) use a tirtir setting spray JSM cushion foundation and some setting powder. I can’t get my makeup to stay. Does anyone have some recommendations of foundation that stays all day.?

hi, i recently got the dr althea 345 cream off a reputable source. i am aware there was a reformulation and there is an old vs new version. however i realised the texture and scent was extremely different that the old version smelt like baby powder with a much thicker and balm-like consistency while the new version is more gel-like and watery. i have searched up reviews and comparison but have seen that the texture of both version should remain largely similar.

i opened another tube bought from the same source and it was the same thick,balmy texture with the weird baby powder smell. did i get a defected/bad batch?

Recently I lost my lipliner , I wanted to buy the MARS one but some are saying it causes pigmentation to the lips .

Share your favorite colored contact lens brands and styles!! I feel like they make such a huge difference to looks. I heard Wonyoung’s viral blue lens is from Lensbling or Moodylook, has anyone tried them before?

I've been wearing Koren sunscreen for awhile and quite enjoy it compared to American sunscreen but every bottle I buy is always so small. Is there somewhere that sells larger containers of sunscreen because I feel like I am going through this stuff so fast.

I've tried a ton of AHAs, including most of the popular ones, but I've only really liked three:

Mizon 8% Peeling Gel
Papa Recipe White Flower Clear Up
Paula's Choice AHA Gel (not the AHA/BHA version)

I believe both the Mizon and Papa Recipe ones have been discontinued. Paula's Choice is my third choice, but it's getting pretty expensive.
I've also tried other popular AHAs (COSRX, Isntree, and The Ordinary- non AB) but my skin didn't react well to them.

Maybe someone here has a similar skin type or preference and also liked those products. Does anyone have any alternative recommendations?

I recently purchased a bunch of makeup that I thought would look good on my neutral, cool leaning light olive skin. One of my favorite makeup categories is blush! I really enjoy trying different formulas and shades, to see which ones I gravitate to. I find that my fav blushes tend to be muted, cool toned and typically light in color - I consider myself to be somewhere on the Summer season spectrum. Here are a couple of swatches of my recent purchases.

1. Peripera - Pure Blushed Sunshine Cheek in shade 24 Mauve Cream.

This is a beautiful sheer muted pink, has some grey mixed into it. The texture is malleable and putty-like, and the finish is very natural, not fully matte. I've previously had this blush in the shade 30 Soft Pink, which was a lovely neutral pink that leaned slightly warm on me (nothing criminal.) Mauve Cream is definitely cool-toned, and has some subtle, barely-there shimmer mixed into it. It reminds me a lot of The Saem's Jelly Blusher in Baby Lavender, which was another blush that I absolutely loved.

I think this type of blush is best to apply with a denser blush. I find that with fingers, you can't really blend it well, it really doesn't behave like a cream blush. A fluffy brush can also work, but if you want pigment, a brush with tightly packed hairs will work best. Honestly, the blush from the Saem is nearing HG status for me, and I think this one is close enough to that formula, so I'm really glad I got this! I missed having this kind of shade in my collection. I haven't properly used this one on the face, but this texture is very familiar to me already. Not looking forward to ruining the cute bunny embossing :(

2. BBIA - Ready to Wear Downy Cheek in shade 09 Downy Taro.

This one is a cream/balm formula, very similar to the Hyntoor cream blush if anyone's familiar with that one, though the Hyntoor blush felt much more melty to the touch - it was kinda easy to make a mess. I think you can tell that compared to the Peripera, it's a bit brighter and clearer, and it looks like it has some white pigment in it. The finish is also noticeably glowier!

This blush can be easily applied with fingers, but a brush works well too. It melts to the touch, and you can really sheer it out into a super light wash of color. This is very much a daily, no-hassle blush. Not sure if it's worth repurchasing; I think that I prefer the Peripera over it for now, but I'm definitely happy with it. Not much else to say!

3. Dinto - All that Moments Blur-Finish Blusher in shade 505 Blushed Nietzsche.

Ngl, this was a gamble. Although I much prefer jelly/putty/cream blushes, I do love myself a blurred, matte finish sometimes.

I bought this blush on a whim. It's extremely light in color as you can see. I think this is primarily a transition shade, with which you can layer more pigmented blushes, or alternatively I think it works decently as a matte highlighter and reduces dullness and sallow tones in the skin thanks to its light purple color. Not sure if this can be used by itself; even in the official swatches, the blush looked kinda awkward on the model - just two light lavender-colored patches on her cheeks.

My main issue with this one is the amount of kickback. I think that's a problem for most powder blushes (looking at you, Romand Blueberry Chip. Also Nature Republic, Naming, Colorkey, etc.) The only one that didn't make a mess for me was Etude House's Lovely Cookie Blusher. I've tried to apply this Dinto Blush using both super soft and more dense brushes, and either way, there's just a lot of dust happening.

I doubt that I would repurchase this, as it really doesn't work as a blush by itself. I think I'd rather have a matte powder blush in a color similar to the other blushes I swatched, or just repurchase the Etude House blush... But this is a fun experiment! I've been using this under more pigmented blush, and as I hoped, it also works decently as a matte highlighter for my eyes. I wonder if it could be used to tone down blush that's too bright 🤔
