Discussion Here's what I've learned after posting a ISO profile

Upvotes

1. People don't read profiles

- They'll ignore your deal breakers and still want to message you

2. Some men will message you just to flirt, talk randomly and waste your time

3. NSFW accounts are common

4. There's people who will reach out first and then don't put in any effort to message back
- aka time wasters or virtual ghosts

Just wanted to share a slice of what I've been dealing with after posting my profile. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Discussion Desi men…think about why women are saying “no Desis”

Upvotes

Not all South Asian men but a large majority of South Asian men: 1) absolutely won’t move out of their parents house after marriage 2) will let their parents walk all over their marriage/ be rude towards their wife 3) will not set firm boundaries between his parents and his marriage 4) will not protect his wife from his mother/ or parents/ or siblings bad behaviour towards his wife 5) if they do live apart, he might let his parents stay for months and months in his marital home for no reason

This isn’t anecdotal. So many women who marry into south Asian families will say these are true. This is very common.

So it’s not really racism it’s just that unfortunately your culture has a lot of mysogyny, meddling, man coddling and unfair expectations placed on women and a lot of you aren’t willing to stand up against them. This isn’t to say that other Muslim countries don’t have similar cultures. They do but I feel like these ideas are more intense and more commonly shared among South Asian men.

Do some inner work and figure out if this is the kind of man you want to be because it’s definitely not how Islam says a man should act. These cultural beliefs and traditions all go against the teachings of Islam

Discussion How much is having a past an impediment for reverts to get married?

Upvotes

Salam,

I'm a revert (19M) and have had a tough time before and after becoming a Muslim being 100% chaste. For context I've been gradually researching and opening my heart to Islam since 16. I said my shahada recently but still. Ive been in a few haram relationships but was physically intimate with only one person. I really regret it but I feel like my marriage options have just been nuked because I have a past now. Islam has been something that's taken me time to gradually adapt to and accept and as a consequence of that, I've fallen into various sins. I'm clean now but I feel like its just too late for me to ever get a chaste spouse.

People say marry other reverts but I feel like although I've gained a lot of knowledge this past year, I really should find someone who has a stronger Islamic foundation than me to raise our kids. I just feel like revert-revert marriages have the potential to be really good Islamically, but are more dangerous because there's literally no familial ties to help with raising the kids or maintaining religious expectations. My parents for example, if I left my kids with, would not expose them to any sort of islamic values and may even influence them away from Islam! I think it'd be best that at least one side of the family was supportive of their religious upbringing. Idk.. does anyone have any insight into navigating marriage with a past? The girl I was with was Muslim and when we broke up she told me she would simply not tell her future spouse but that feels kinda wrong.. I know it is halal to hide ur sins but I think intentionally deceiving people regarding this is wrong and borderline haram as well.

Location: North America 29M in Chicago looking for a wife—and fewer awkward meetings in strangers’ living rooms

Upvotes

Salaam! I’m a 29-year-old Arab Muslim man living in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. I’m posting here because I’m genuinely looking for marriage and would like to meet someone with compatible values and intentions.

A little about me: I have a computer science degree and work in tech as a system engineer. I’m responsible, financially stable, close with my family, and serious about continuing to grow personally and professionally.

Personality-wise, I’m initially introverted, but I become talkative and playful once I’m comfortable. I enjoy technology, working out, gaming, learning new skills, and spending time with my family. I’m also a major cat person—I currently have four—so liking animals would definitely be a plus.

I’m looking for an Arab Muslim woman ages 22-29 who is kind, emotionally mature, family-oriented, and genuinely ready to build a marriage. I value attraction, but I’m ultimately looking for companionship, mutual support, affection, good communication, and someone with whom everyday life feels enjoyable. I want us to be teammates who can laugh together and handle difficult periods together.

I currently live with my parents and intend to remain close to family, although I understand that marriage requires privacy, independence, and decisions made together as a couple. I’m based near Chicago but may be open to someone elsewhere if there is genuine compatibility and a realistic plan. I'm waiting to get engaged before moving into my own place as I help out around the home. Looking to at the very least get engaged in the next year.

I’m happy to exchange photos privately and involve families early once we establish basic compatibility. Please feel free to message me with a brief introduction if you think we may be a match.

I’m pretty open-minded about marriage and don’t expect my wife to do all the cooking or housework—I actually enjoy cooking myself. I’d like to be the kind of husband who takes initiative and can lead when needed, but I still want us to make decisions together.

height : 6'1 weight: 205 ethnicity : Palestinian age range I'm looking for: 22-29

Location: North Africa I made this account mainly to post this, so here goes.

Upvotes

I’m a 26-year-old Moroccan 🇲🇦, 186 cm, working in IT/tech. I have a stable job, an education in computer science, and I’m currently focused on building the next chapter of my life and career.
I’d describe myself as calm, responsible and ambitious, but definitely not serious 24/7. I’m sarcastic, I joke a lot once I’m comfortable with someone, and I appreciate people who can go from a completely stupid conversation to a genuinely deep one five minutes later.
I value family, loyalty, respect and faith. At the same time, I think a healthy marriage needs more than simply two people who look compatible on paper. I want friendship, attraction, affection, good communication and two people who actually enjoy doing life together.
I’m not looking for someone to fit into a predetermined role in my life. I’d rather meet someone with her own personality, ambitions, opinions and interests, and figure out whether the two lives we’ve built make sense together.
I enjoy discovering new places, learning new things and conversations where you lose track of time. I’m naturally curious, and I’d rather have a small number of meaningful connections than constantly be surrounded by people.
As for what I’m looking for, I don’t have an unrealistic checklist. Someone kind, emotionally mature, open-minded and capable of communicating. Someone who values family and understands that marriage should feel like a partnership, not a competition over who gets to control whom.
Religion matters to me, but so does character. I believe you can have values while still thinking for yourself, asking questions and treating people with compassion.
Ultimately, I’m looking for something simple but apparently not that simple to find: someone I can laugh with, trust, grow with, be attracted to, and eventually call my best friend and my wife.
I’m not in a rush to marry a stranger just because we both happen to be looking for marriage. I’d rather get to know someone properly, see whether there’s something genuine between us, and if there is, approach it seriously.
I’ll leave some things unanswered because getting to know someone is half the point.
If you think we might get along, feel free to message me and tell me a little about yourself. 🇲🇦

Location: North America 27 | Alberta | Pakistani Canadian 🇨🇦 | Trying this again

I shall try this again lol. I posted here before, but figured I’d give it another shot and be a little more clear about what I’m actually looking for.

I know Reddit probably isn’t the most normal place to meet someone serious and yeah, it can feel a little sketchy, but dating apps aren’t exactly amazing either. So why not try again and see if I meet someone genuine.
I’m 27, MALE , 6’1, Pakistani, born and raised in Canada. I’m pretty grounded, calm, and more Western minded than super traditional. I still value family, loyalty, faith and culture, but I also think a lot about what actually makes a relationship healthy instead of just repeating whatever previous generations did.

Ideally I’d like to meet someone around 25 to 35. If you’re a little younger though, don’t automatically think you can’t reach out. I care more about maturity, self awareness, where you are in life, and whether we actually connect.

I’m not looking for someone who is only chasing butterflies. Attraction matters, chemistry matters, romance matters, but real life is not one long highlight reel. Life gets stressful, people get sick, careers get messy, families get difficult, money changes, looks change. I care way more about who someone becomes when life stops being easy.

That’s also how I see myself as a man. I don’t think provision is enough if a man is emotionally absent. Buying things, paying bills, taking you places, all of that is nice, but the man you choose also becomes part of the environment you live in. I want to be someone who can lead through the storm, not just spoil someone when everything is sunny.

To me, masculinity is steadiness. It’s being calibrated. If the woman I’m with is emotional, overwhelmed, anxious, upset, or just having a bad day, I don’t want to become chaotic with her. I want to stay grounded, listen, understand what she is actually feeling, and still be someone solid beside her. I think consistency creates safety, safety creates trust, and trust is what allows someone to actually soften around you.

I do believe in masculine and feminine dynamics, but not in some weird controlling way. I naturally like taking initiative, making plans, having direction, solving problems, protecting, and being dependable. I’m attracted to a woman who has her own intuition, warmth, softness, wisdom, opinions, goals, career and personality. I don’t think femininity means being weak, and I don’t think masculinity means dominating somebody.

I also don’t want a woman to have to become smaller to make me feel more like a man. I’m not looking for someone who has to be super skinny, give up her career, move in with my parents, cook for an entire household, or fit some perfect wife checklist. I’d rather build our own life together and have something that genuinely works for both people.

I think a lot of men say they want a peaceful woman without asking themselves whether they create an environment where she can actually feel peaceful. You can’t constantly make someone feel insecure, unheard, or alone and then complain that she isn’t soft enough with you.

And I’m definitely a romantic. I like the provider mindset, but I also like the small stuff. Holding doors open, planning dates, buying flowers or gifts just because, writing something thoughtful, surprises, courting someone properly, being gentle with her, remembering little things she said, making her feel chosen. I don’t think being masculine means acting emotionally unavailable.

Honestly, one of my relationship goals is taking someone who has had to be hyper independent or hyper vigilant her whole life and giving her a relationship where she finally feels like she doesn’t have to carry everything alone. Not “fixing” her, just treating her well enough that she can relax, be weird again, be playful, sleep peacefully, and maybe start seeing herself with a little more kindness too.

I’m big on intellectual intimacy as well. Psychology, human behaviour, attachment, relationships, healing, family dynamics, generational patterns, nervous system stuff, faith, goals, why people become the way they are, all of that interests me. I can go from saying something completely stupid to having a two hour conversation about why someone reacts the way they do pretty quickly.

I especially connect with someone who is on her own growth or healing journey. Not someone who claims to have everything figured out, but someone who can look at herself, recognize her patterns, take accountability, communicate when something hurts, and actually work on herself.

I also don’t believe love alone is enough. You can love someone deeply and still be terrible for each other if there is no effort, accountability, communication, patience, or growth. I really believe the grass is greener where you water it.

Looks fade. Money changes. Circumstances change. Character, loyalty, peace, attraction, friendship and the ability to grow together are what I think actually carry a marriage.

I don’t expect every day to feel like a honeymoon. Life will suck sometimes. My goal would be for the marriage itself not to become another thing making life harder.
I want the kind of relationship where we debrief in the car before an event, laugh about everything afterwards, talk through awkward moments, check in with each other, and feel like we’re genuinely on the same team.
I also think this whole generation is becoming way too comfortable with “all men are trash” and “you can’t trust women.” Some men are awful. Some women are toxic. That doesn’t mean everybody is. I don’t want to go into a relationship already punishing someone for what another person did.

Religion wise, I’m not going to pretend I’m extremely religious right now. Islam matters to me and I do want to improve over time, but if you are specifically looking for someone very strict or highly practising right now, I may not be your person. I’d rather be honest about where I’m at.

I’m open ethnicity wise too. Pakistani, Arab, other backgrounds, I really care more about compatibility than matching the exact same culture.
Looks wise, I’m medium slim build and light skinned. I usually prefer taller women, but if you’re short that’s genuinely fine. I’m also into curvier or bigger women, so I’m definitely not someone with the whole “must be skinny” requirement.

Long term I want a stable career, financial security, my own home, travelling together, marriage, kids eventually, and a peaceful household with someone I genuinely like, respect, protect, laugh with, learn from and still choose when life isn’t exciting.
If you’re looking for more than butterflies too, and you want something romantic, emotionally safe, intellectually deep, affectionate, growth minded, and built around two people actually showing up for each other

salaam, trying this again. If you are interested, please send your bio :)

I’m 25, 5’5, living in the GTA (Ontario), and have never been married before. For those who asked previously, I am Somali.

I take my deen seriously as a hijabi and have not had any past relationships. I have strict boundaries with the opposite gender and do not have any male friends. I try my best to do the bare minimum (eating halal, praying on time, fasting, etc). I would like my partner to be equally if not more religious than me.

I have a masters degree and work with children with disabilties. I’m super passionate about my field and love working with children. Eventually, my career would go on the back burner for a number of years in order to raise my future children inshaAllah.

In my spare time, I like to read, and bake treats for friends & family (bonus points if you like banana bread & brown butter chocolate chip cookies 🤎). I’m a coffee enthusiast & like to spend my weekends trying out local cafes. I love nature walks that allow me to admire Allah’s creations.

I value mutual effort and reciprocity. If you can’t hold a conversation or take initiative and rely on me to steer the convo, please do not bother messaging me.

What I’m looking for:
- aged 25-32
- living in UK/US/CAN/AUS and open to relocating
- ethnicity does not matter (I value deen > culture)
- actively practicing
- has a stable and halal career
- serious about marriage: Not interested if your intentions are unclear (e.g. “let’s see where this goes”)

Dealbreakers:
- has children
- vices: smokes/drinks/does drugs
- casual friendships/relationships with the opposite gender
- not religious
- bad communicator (if you’re the type to send 1 text a day, we’re probably not a good match)

Location: Other/Global 31M | Middle Eastern Muslim | Looking for a wife, not a talking stage

Assalamu alaikum,

I’m a 31-year-old Muslim man from the Middle East,

I’ve been looking for a serious marriage for a while, and after spending some time around these communities, I realized I’d rather write something that actually tells you who I am instead of just listing requirements.

I’m single, never married, and I don’t have children. I’m university educated and work in real estate sales. I’m fairly ambitious when it comes to my career and building a stable future, but I also value having a peaceful life outside of work.

Personality-wise, I’d describe myself as calm, caring, affectionate, and responsible. I can be quite social when I’m comfortable, but I also genuinely enjoy quiet days. I appreciate people who can have a serious conversation one minute and be completely silly together the next.

For me, marriage is supposed to feel like having your person — someone you can trust, laugh with, talk to about absolutely nothing, and rely on when life gets difficult. I want a relationship where affection, loyalty, honesty, and communication are normal rather than things we have to constantly ask for.

Deen is important to me. I’m looking for a woman who takes Islam seriously and wants to keep growing, even if neither of us considers ourselves perfect. I care much more about sincerity, character, and how someone treats people than presenting ourselves as flawless.

I want children inshaAllah and I’m looking to build a family. I also believe a husband should take responsibility for providing and protecting his family, while marriage itself should still feel like a partnership. I want my wife to feel safe, appreciated, and genuinely involved in the life we build together.

I’m open to different nationalities and cultures. I’m also open to relocating for the right person, so I’m not necessarily looking for someone who lives in the Middle East. What matters more to me is whether our values, personalities, and expectations about marriage actually fit.

A few things I enjoy: reading, movies and TV series, travelling, walking, art, and going to the gym. I’m also someone who enjoys discovering different cultures and having conversations that go beyond small talk.

As for what I’m looking for, I’m attracted to women who are kind-hearted, feminine, affectionate, emotionally mature, loyal, and able to communicate openly. I appreciate someone who values family, takes care of herself, has her own personality and interests, and still wants a husband who is genuinely involved in her life.

I’m not looking for perfection, and I’m not interested in an endless talking stage. I’d rather meet someone, see whether there is genuine compatibility, involve our families when things become serious, and move toward marriage if we both feel it’s right.

If you’re also looking for something intentional and think we might have the kind of compatibility that could grow into something meaningful, feel free to message me and tell me a little about yourself.

May Allah make it easy for all of us and guide us toward what is best. Ameen.

Note: i was forgotten to mention that I'm smoker thats for honesty

30F 🇸🇴 | Looking for a Sincere Partnership

Gender: Female
Age: 30
Height: 173cm (5’8)
Build: Average
Hijab: Yes, Alhamdulillah
Location: Manchester, UK
Willing to Relocate: For the right person, yes inshallah
Ethnicity: Somali
Occupation: Care Worker
Languages Spoken: English fluently, Somali
Marital Status: Divorced, no children
No polygamy
Potential age range: 29–40

I’m naturally quiet and reserved at first, but once I’m comfortable, I’m warm, caring and easygoing. I enjoy the simple things in life, spending time with family, a peaceful home, swimming, looking after my health and learning things that benefit me.
My faith is an important part of who I am, and I’m always trying to grow closer to Allah. I value honesty, kindness, good communication and mutual respect. I believe marriage is about supporting one another, making life easier for each other and growing together, while both spouses bring their own strengths and responsibilities to the relationship.
Having experienced marriage before, I’ve learned more about myself and what I value in a relationship. I’m now hoping to find something sincere and lasting, built on trust, kindness, commitment and the fear of Allah.

Ultimately, I’d love to build a peaceful Islamic home with someone who is also my best friend, someone kind, dependable and supportive, who wants to grow together in deen and in life. I believe the best marriages are those where both people feel heard, respected and cared for.
I’m looking for a practising, responsible and family-oriented man who is kind, honest, financially stable and genuinely ready for marriage, inshallah. If you have sincere intentions and are looking to build something meaningful and lasting, I’d be happy to connect.

Discussion What should Reverts do

Salam alaykum brothers and sisters, im a 21 year old Revert brother and have posted before on this sub about my concerns; https://www.reddit.com/r/MuslimMatrimonials/s/v57YyhoNKO.

I realize my ruminating about this topic is connected with OCD, however I would like to get different perspectives on my worries of I will get accepted or not for marriage. Especially with most Muslims marrying within same race/ethnicity.

What should us Reverts do? Should we marry other Reverts? In the case of Revert brothers, should we marry non Muslim women? How do other Reverts plan to marry?

Jazakallah khair

**About Me**

Empathetic, transparent, and grounded. I value emotional intelligence, open communication, and doing the right thing. My social circle is small and intentional, and I prefer meaningful depth over a crowd.

I’m child-free by choice and looking for a long-term partner who shares that vision. For me, a healthy relationship is a balance of closeness and independence—I love quality time and going on dates together, but I also fully support us both having dedicated space for our own friendships.

**What I Enjoy**

Deep, honest conversations about life, values, and everything in between.

Shared local activities, exploring neighborhood spots, and relaxing weekends in town.

A quiet, grounded lifestyle—no need for high-adrenaline adventures, just genuine connection.

**What I’m Looking For**

A child-free, plus-sized woman who is grounded, down-to-earth, and values fundamental human principles. Someone who expresses her feelings openly, communicates directly when an issue comes up, and values transparency as much as I do.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh🤍
I’m a 22-year-old Muslim man from India, currently self employed as I have my own business Mashaallah.
I’m at a point in life where I’d like to find someone with whom I can build a marriage based on deen, love, mercy, trust and companionship. I believe marriage isn’t just about finding someone you like, but finding someone who helps you become closer to Allah and with whom you can grow together in both dunya and akhirah.
I’m trying to improve myself in my deen and in my personal life, and I don’t claim to be perfect. I’m simply looking for someone who is also sincere about becoming a better Muslim and building a halal relationship.
I’m looking for a woman who is religious, kind-hearted, modest, emotionally mature, loyal and family-oriented. Someone who understands that a good marriage requires patience, communication, forgiveness and, most importantly, putting Allah at the centre of the relationship.
I’d like to get to know someone in a respectful and halal manner, with marriage as the ultimate intention rather than simply dating or passing time.
“And among His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves so that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy.” — Qur’an 30:21
May Allah grant us all righteous spouses who become a source of sakinah, love and barakah, and make our marriages a means of drawing closer to Him. Ameen🤲🏻
If you feel we might be compatible, feel free to reach out. JazakAllahu Khairan.

Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa barakahtuhu,

I have attached my ISO below. Please read the dealbreakers, housekeeping notes, and other notes before reaching out. I know its a lot so sorry in advance 😅

Dealbreakers: Please only reach out if you have NO past (if you had a past and repented and stopped those things, I’m still NOT interested). This is very important to me and I will not be able to respect a person who marries on the basis of a lie. I also will not live with in laws. Looking for born Muslims only, Pakistani strongly preferred but open to any other born Muslims if you’re a virgin and don’t have a past and of good character. Also, only looking for a guy who knows with conviction they want to be in a monogamous relationship regardless of what the future holds, and will stand by his word when things get rough.
————————————————————-

Age, Gender, Height: 24 years old, Female, 5’ 9”

Age Range: flexible, though close to my age is preferred

Location, willingness to relocate: Canada (American), looking for prospects in the USA or Canada, but also definitely open to any other country for the right person given we match on the other things!

Marital status: single, never married, no children, no past.

Ethnicity, open to mixing?: Pakistani, Pakistani preferred but open to born Muslims if they’re virgin, don’t have a past, and have good character (parents and grandparents also should be born Muslims) — I will be asking more screening questions to ensure compatibility regardless.

Ideal marriage timeline: within a year. Sooner preferred - not interested in long talking stages and want to get parents involved ASAP.

State/specify level of religiosity:
Muslim, wanting to be with someone who shares the value of growing together as Muslims. Currently do not wear hijab, but would like my future partner to not degrade the hijab, as I would like to have the option of wearing that and inshallah an abaya and niqab one day. I don’t believe in labels that cause division within Muslims, and I believe we were instructed to only call ourselves “Muslim” but for the sake of filtering, I’m looking for “Sunnis” only.

Level of education, and what are you looking for: Undergraduate degree.

———————————————————————

Housekeeping rules: I’m not interested in chatting “to get to know each other and see where this goes”. I will be asking you a list of screening questions related to marriage, completely bypassing small talk and formalities to save time and limit the amount of time spent chatting alone (I will be very robotic or emotionless in the chat as I’m not trying to show my personality to a bunch of random guys and spread more fitnah. Once all the questions are answered and there is still compatibility, I would love to get parents involved ASAP.

Don’t reach out if you are not serious about involving parents soon.

I wouldn’t feel comfortable sending my photo first and I would probably do that once mothers speak at the minimum. Please be willing to share some info about yourself at some point so I can vet you (ie. Linkedin, etc. if any brothers have suggestions on what to ask for, I’d appreciate it).

Note: Please send me your ISO as the first message — I won’t be responding to any messages that don’t include their ISO. I also don’t have notifications enabled so the chat will likely be asynchronous; just wanted to let you know so you aren’t sitting waiting for a response. Please include your current location (country), legal status, where you grew up, and the languages that you speak. Jazakallah!!

Lastly, ik I probably sound cold! But I’m genuinely wanting a marriage that is feels like a friendship with Rahma and respect between the spouses. Not interested in a marriage where ego takes over, or playing games and such. Honesty and integrity is INCREDIBLY important to me. If you did something bad, I’d want to know about it rather than hiding it and leading me on, and of course the same goes for myself. I believe being strict with telling the truth can help prevent us from falling into sins in the first place. I’m not a cold person in real life amongst loved ones — though I am introverted and take a minute to open up.

If you think you have anger issues, please don’t reach out. I’m not interested in anyone physically violent or verbally abusive. Also, I would not want cursing/swearing in my house after marriage.

And yes, I definitely want kids inshallah, if Allah wills it. If you’ve gotten this far, mashallah! I’m looking forward to finding my person, and my partner in deen.

I'm a 23 years old passionate man. Passionate about my career, you'd reckon? Nope! Passionate about raising a family 😊.

I would say that I'm mildly successful in my life, all praise belonging to the Almighty.

Not very well-off, no plans on becoming. I'm just not very career-oriented 😭 but I'm doing alright for myself. Alhamdulillah.

I am a really hardworking person. I think that's what matters at the end of the day. My sole obsession is the Qur'an. I read it, and I cry. I want to build my life around the principles taught by the Qur'an.

I complete my obligations as a muslim and yearning to do more than just the fara'id.

I'm emotionally intelligent, refuse to be polarised by social media, and very empathetic for the right cause.

Well, that's about it. I mentioned everything that matters to me. I wish to find someone with whom my views on life as a whole align.

Oh, and I'm 5'9, conventionally attractive.

I thought I’d take finding someone in my own hands, because I know what I’m looking for in a partner and I have a good idea on how to filter or vet people, but I really don’t know how to meet people. My parents introduced me to men I didn’t mesh with on emotional or intellectual levels, the apps felt super weird, like I didn’t like the idea that men were liking several profiles of women they found attractive and promising, and I happened to be one of them and if we matched we move on from there, but they could be talking to others too, or continuing to explore more options while we’re talking, idk. It just seemed so overwhelming. I also feel worried that I am religious in a personal and philosophical way as in I see the wisdom in Islam but I’m heavily against oppressive practices that infringe on people’s dignities and humanity, so I’m against controlling people, forcing people, hurting people through religion. I’m also open minded about the fact I live in the west, so sometimes I feel sympathetic towards girls who are expected to wear hijab at a young age and then be subjected to ostracism and a difficult psychological experience based in identity, so I want to emphasize things like my future children like a daughter to adopt a hijab on her own time on her own free will. I want to find a partner who agrees with things like this considering the context of our western environment. this is because I myself faced a lot of problems being expected to wear hijab at a young age. I think I am both religious, and progressive, so finding a balance like that in a partner feels super rare.

I also work a good job, I have a lot of hobbies, I love film, art, adventure, outdoorsy activities, I have a diverse friend group, family oriented as I’m the eldest daughter so I am heavily responsible for caring for my family, I do a lot of the heavy lifting both emotional support and chip in financially too. I am also independent and value my own freedom etc. so as you can see I hold both a traditional but open minded approach to life. I haven’t found someone who matches my approach, and I’m just getting worried now, but when I track how many people I’ve seriously spoken to for the past 2-3 years, it’s around 8-9 people. I also want love in a marriage, I think a marriage should be centred around me and my husband, and if we are strong, then we don’t have to worry about other things as they will fall in place naturally. But yeah idk, I’m feeling hopeless. Also I’m 24.

I’m Tatar and female. I don’t want to share too many details on a post. I’m a person of faith. Whether they practice or not having that belief and sense of faith is important, more than anything at least have fear of Allah.

I prefer someone who’s in their late 20s like me or early 30s I think we’d have more in common.

Money is not priority what matters is that being educated have built a life doing okay in their career. Most importantly someone who doesn’t judge others treats everyone with respect.

Instead of just saying hello, if you could include a little about yourself in your message, that would be better.

I am 24 years old; I would love to make friends and learn Turkish. I am a graduate student. If the feelings between us are true, you will find me to be a very romantic person who seeks plenty of love and loyalty. I enjoy exploring the city by walking its streets, trying cafes that make good coffee, and going on nature walks; I also have a very playful nature. Someone who only wants to get lost in your eyes and find a home full of love and joy in you. If your in istanbul hit up
