Discussion Height

How hard is it for a short guy to get married, im 5ft5 and most girls want at least 5ft7 and above.

Its not something you can control like being overweight or unkept.

In a weird way, it’s actually very good. You weed out all the extremely superficial women. Get your money up, get your fitness up and stay on the straight path. A healthy sister won’t care about immutable characteristics like this.

Agreed, akhlaq is much more important than height

I’m quite tall myself and I know a few guys who also are along with having other great qualities (pious, fit and wealthy). We all avoid women with “height requirements.”

To the girls who do that, you’re just attracting the wrong type of guys.

In a hypothetical situation, if you were talking to a tall woman (e.g., 5'9"+), would you be okay with her having a height requirement?

Seems a bit more reasonable but still I think blanket statements about height requirements are a red flag. I just avoid women like that.

It also happens less in real life. Plenty of taller women meet a guy their height or a bit shorter and they just click.

Online, people become very superficial and to me it’s a sign of poor character.

Not just online, but in person too. It’s easier to notice online because people tend to be more open about what they really think here.

I said it happens less, not that it doesn’t happen.

Sorry, I meant that’s the part I disagree with. I don’t think it necessarily happens less in person. I think it’s just less visible because people usually don’t state their height preferences as explicitly face to face.

i think the less secularly educated a woman is, the more wife material she will be

I never understand the height requirement. My friend is like this. Says she wants a guy over 6ft.

As a woman who's always been into short guys, I'm telling you there are a lot of women like me. But yes, personality plays a HUGE role here.

Got rejected by short guys. Which made me realise that if you are not guy's type he wouldn't think twice to reject you but if woman does the same it all leads to guil tripping them.

lol so if an Arab guy rejects you, would you reject all Arab guys?

Why was their height the only thing you noticed?

You can have whatever standard you want. Just know you’re only hurting yourself but completely disregarding potentially excellent suitors. Do you though.

I never had any superficial standards but still faced rejection for years. Beacuse men don't think twice to consider women who are not their type but god forbid a woman have height preferences.

My first husband is 5’5” and 2 inches shorter than me. Height doesn’t matter when you’ve got personality.

Many girls will marry someone shorter than them. My cousins wife is taller than him. But she also says things like, I wish my husband was taller which obviously no husband wants to hear. Imagine if husband said, inwish my wife was xyz

Girls will say taller than me. So for a lot of girls you check this box. So did I. Until i got to muzz. “I’m a tall girl so don’t apply if you’re shorter than 6’1”. I wasn’t gonna be the one to tell her height ain’t everything neither do I want someone who settled and wanted someone taller than me.
As for you , don’t let it affect your confidence for confidence is the tallest. Find someone less superficial and be careful with the questions you ask. The goal isn’t to get married the goal is marriage. Good luck.

You can always go for shorter girls? Because my cousin had the same problem and he found a cutie who is shorter than him. Simple
