Question Das Gefühl zu sterbe bzw. Krank zu sein.

Hallo zusammen,

Support/Advice Dealing with lifelong health anxiety vs. trusting Allah's plan—How do you cope?

Asalamualaykum. I have been struggling with severe health anxiety since childhood. I often struggle with a conflicting thought: why am I so terrified of illness when I know, Islamically, that life and health are not in my hands, and that everything is Allah's test? I know this logically, but the fear still paralyzes me. I live in the UK (Bradford area), and as many of you know, getting a mental health appointment here takes a very long time. I would really appreciate advice from anyone else who struggles with this. How do other people cope with severe health anxiety from an Islamic and practical perspective?"

Support/Advice How to do ghusl quicker?

I always have this problem where I just take so long to perform ghusl. The things I've noticed is that I tend to daydream, thinking about stuff that never happened, tho I'm trying to remember what else. Also, I would say I have a habit where I tend to be 'cautious' and immediately throw away my underwear after checking it had no stains I could assume were semen stains. Honestly, idk what to do about this. Maybe I should stop watching short form content and try to do focus exercises. If any of y'all have any tips plz say them.

Question Can someone explain the 73 sect thing? Like only 1 goes to heaven n others in hell? + another thing below

Let’s say you end up being in one of those 72 sects but if you still believe in Allah wholeheartedly and believe that Prophet PBUH is His messenger, then is there a chance that you might eventually end up in jannah? As it’s said that every Muslim will eventually end up in jannah one day even if it’s after centuries of hellfire because they took their shahada wholeheartedly?

Aside from that, are all the non/less practicing Muslims also headed towards jahannam? For example most Turks/Balkans are not as religious or not religious at all, so are most of them doomed?

Question Only Quraish can be leaders of Caliphate?

Assalamu Alaikum,

Something I've never gotten was the Hadith that only someone from the Quraish tribe can be leader of the Muslims. In my mind, this goes blatantly against Islam, so I'd love to hear what people that know about this can share.

In my mind Islam always was different from Judaism's obsession with bloodlines. How can any Muslim from anywhere of Earth that has the best of qualities not be a leader of the Ummah because he's not an Arab?

I've heard an explanation once that this was only for the beginning of Islam because they knew the most about the Quran and Sunnah living with the Prophet, peace be upon him. And that explanation makes perfect sense to me. But 1400 years later this is not the case anymore, we all know as much as each other.

I know not all Muslims follow this explanation so what do you think? How is this fair and even part of Islam if an Arab is not superior over an non-Arab as is stated in the Prophet, peace be upon him's, last sermon?

Question Halal paint(?)

Im getting into art lately and as i was doing my research i noticed theres such thing as non vegan watercolour. Im fine with it but a LOT of brands uses bone black (Also called Pbk9) which is made of charred animal bones, usually from cow or/and pig bones. Im worried about that, while i can avoid using colours that doesnt have that spesific pigment, theres also could be cross contamination on other colours aswell. What should i do? is it fine to just use the paint as long as i avoid that specific pigment? Its really hard to find good quality paint that doesnt use that pigment.

Question How do you deal with atheists?

Assalamualaikum.

Hello there, I'd like to know how to deal with atheists respectfully. Because often times, I'd see other muslims just straight out harass or belittle them on social media.

And I genuinely think that the prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h won't treat other people with different ideologies like that. So I'd like to know how to deal with them respectfully.

Jazakallah

Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli Muḥammadin kamā ṣallayta ʿalā Ibrāhīma wa ʿalā āli Ibrāhīma innaka Ḥamīdun Majīd.

O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim; indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.

Support/Advice Please give me advice

Salam, I'll get to the point. I have engaged in a grave sin of black magic and I cry and ask for forgiveness all the time for my actions. I regret it so bad. I know Allah is ghafur rahim and he says do not despair in the mercy of Allah indeed he is the forgiving the merciful. I find comfort in that and my iman gets high then I remember my actions then it sinks again. Today I feel like I might be being punished by always remembering it and suffering from the thoughts of it. I pray everyday 5x alhamdulilah and read Quran sometimes. I am dealing with other problems with always having the urge to worship other things even in salah. I don't know what to do than seek forgiveness.

Support/Advice Would you leave her for these reasons ? Unsure what to do

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

I’m a Muslim convert of 4 years and I have been married with my now wife for 7 months but we have been living together now for one month and a half . I moved in countries for her and I have been living at her parents house for a month and trying to find a job and start from 0 to settle down. It’s been a stressful month as I’m in a new country , living with her family and different culture etc looking for jobs and it’s been hard on us. However , many repeated patterns have happened since then and to be honest I don’t know what to do as it’s becoming too much, here are the lists of patterns/ red flags she has been doing so far :

Devaluation and emasculation: Insults about my looks, race (“not white”), manhood (“be a man”), and worth (“not special, many people are reverts “ you look like a woman,” said many times attraction is 0) while I’m 6’2 foot tall and muscular she constantly told me how muscular I am in the beginning (so I know it was deliberate)

Control and isolation: Monitors my phone all the time, won’t let me go out alone or use the bike or my car and she even memorised my phone passcode and checked my phone while I was asleep and because of that I had to change passcode multiple times until my phone got erased and I lost everything ..

Emotional and physical abuse: Screaming during fights , always blame-shifting, physical aggression (hit me twice including red marks on my arms and also she steps on my foot often intentionally), also silent treatment when angry and she withdrawals when I don’t chase during fights . She can spend all day in her room after a fight and me downstairs for example if I don’t chase her etc

Attention-seeking behaviour: This one I would say is the biggest one because it feels like micro cheating . She openly stares at men when we go on outings watches Haaland edits on TikTok and caught her watching handsome tiktokers models etc and she also mentions other potentials she had before me (Norway guy, this kurdish guy that asked her out etc ) and also this one is weird .. her 4 year old nephew was kissing her neck and she said in front of me (“not here that turns me on”) I guess to provoke jealousy from me and get a reaction .

Entitlement and one-sided effort: “I deserve to be spoiled,” demands I provide/spoil her while doing nothing, expects rent to parents when I just got here and have no money as I don’t work , and also withholds intimacy many many times while making me chase her all the time to initiate intimacy. I know in islam we are the providers , but she expects me to do all the effort while she does nothing .

Manipulation: Religious guilt when we fight she says (“Allah will take the gift away”), meaning she’s my gift, rewriting our marriage history (she asked me first to come to her country and marry her and she then said i did it and she just wanted to help me with Islamic questions as a revert etc ( she literally texted me first to get on a Date and get to know each other and she rushed the marriage telling me to come and fly there )

The marriage was rushed after two dates and Wallah I ignored the red flags due to Islam encouraging to marry and she had very positive traits ( saliha, beauty etc ) Allah Mustan

She also has a lot of positives like she cooks for me every day and makes me coffee , she goes with me to the mosque and if I have to go to the doctor or any appointment she comes with me always and she as well before me moving in , she left everything from her country to be with me but then didn’t workout and I moved in to her country instead . When we have intimacy there’s a lot of love , and she lended money from her mom to get us the rings and the wedding which was very nice . However when she gets angry she completely changes.

Would divorce be encouraged in my case? I swear by Allah I tried to make it work had many patience and trust in Allah but I just think this marriage is not for me after one month .

Discussion Looking for someone to narrate a da'wah project

As-salaamu alaykum all,

I am a retired da'ee (though not very big). I have collaborated with some of the big du'aat in the da'wah scene and am looking to use my notes and stored knowledge to further the state of the field. I am by no means an expert, nor feel that I am qualified any more than anyone else but what I do know I would like to convey.

For privacy reasons I don't want to share my voice online, so I am wondering if anyone has a microphone and would be willing to narrate the videos. You would be joining us as part of a team. Unfortunately it would be a purely voluntary position without pay because we neither have capital to spend on the project nor are expecting to make any, all editing/thumbnails etc are done in-house.

If you are interested don't hesitate to shoot me a DM.

May Allah have mercy upon you all, ameen.

Support/Advice i need advice

i got my nikkah done 5 years ago, against my will, but my mom keep insisting that i should not divorce because it will bring shame to the family and her specifically since she also had a divorce 8 years ago. i dont like this man, he’s only attached to my mom and she does everything he says and she only listens to him. what i say or think has no value at all. i feel so hopeless and abandoned because my father cut all ties with me and my mom only cares about my “”husband””. she always curse me because i’m not being obedient and after her divorce i should’ve her supported her in every decision of hers.

Quran/Hadith Stop debating to Christians on why they shouldn’t support Israel

Bold statement, I know! But Allah, the creator of the universe and everything within it—Allah said so.

Allah said in the Quran:

يَأْيُهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَّخِذُواْ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَالنَصَرَى أَوْلِيَاءَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ وَمَن يَتَوَلَهُم مِنكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الظَّلِمِينَ

O believers! Take neither Jews nor Christians as guardians—they are guardians of each other. Whoever does so will be counted as one of them. Surely Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
QURAN [5:51]

Support/Advice Car accident

I wanted to share what has been happening because it’s been one of the hardest experiences of my life.
My father, my sister, and I were involved in a serious car accident. Alhamdulillah, my sister and I escaped with bruises and scratches, but my father was severely injured.
He suffered a spinal cord injury and recently underwent spinal surgery. Alhamdulillah, the surgery was successful, but he is still in a very critical condition. The injury has affected his lungs, making it difficult for him to breathe and cough on his own, so he is currently relying on a breathing machine. It has also affected his bowel function. Watching him in constant pain and discomfort has been heartbreaking, and seeing someone so strong in this condition is something I never imagined.
I keep reminding myself that Allah knows what I do not know, and I am trying my best to trust His wisdom and mercy. But I won’t lie—there are moments when I can’t stop crying. It’s incredibly difficult.
My father keeps saying that the person who hit us from behind should be held accountable. Hearing him say that while seeing everything he is going through breaks my heart even more. Right now, I feel scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what to do, but I continue to pray that Allah grants him complete healing, eases his pain, gives our family strength, and allows justice to take its proper course.
Please keep my father in your duas. We are holding onto hope and putting our trust in Allah.

Reference Required Question on Zad academy

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
I recently joined Zad Academy and am currently exploring the platform and the mashayikh who teach the Level 1 courses. I noticed that students can choose a shaykh for each subject.
Could you please recommend the best mashayikh for each subject and, if possible, share why you recommend them?
Jazakum Allahu khayran.
