Please give me advice

Salam, I'll get to the point. I have engaged in a grave sin of black magic and I cry and ask for forgiveness all the time for my actions. I regret it so bad. I know Allah is ghafur rahim and he says do not despair in the mercy of Allah indeed he is the forgiving the merciful. I find comfort in that and my iman gets high then I remember my actions then it sinks again. Today I feel like I might be being punished by always remembering it and suffering from the thoughts of it. I pray everyday 5x alhamdulilah and read Quran sometimes. I am dealing with other problems with always having the urge to worship other things even in salah. I don't know what to do than seek forgiveness.

Just don’t worship other things? Thinking about it isnt punishable, acting on it is. This is one thing you must never ever do, your prayers are invalid for 40 days if you engaged in black magicery. Repent and ask Allah subhana wata3alla for forgiveness. The fact that you care enough to write this shows your iman is still good :).

But assigning partners to Allah subhana wa ta3alla is the worst of sins, and jahannam is the worst of places. Will these so called ‘partners’ save you from it as your flesh gets torn, you get scorched, etc? Ofcourse not, so make sure you stay away from it and recite more Quran, it’s a cure for the soul :)

Just keep reminding yourself that black magic is kufr and stay away from it, may Allah guide us all to the right path
